I was pleasantly surprised by this office…read more One of the staff, Bogusia helped me schedule an appointment via email and she was really responsive. I had emailed on a Tuesday or Wednesday and she scheduled me for that Friday, so it was nice not to have to wait too long for an appointment. Sometimes it can feel like dermatology or cosmetic office staff are silently judging you behind their desk, but everyone was really friendly and nice. They also didn't seem to be in a huge rush to get me out the door and onto the next person. This really mattered to me because I've had a difficult time finding an office that would give me a second to think about my questions. Initially Dr. Aditya Sood offered about 25 units of Botox for my 11's. I said I usually only got around *max* 15 units. (A previous dermatologist I had in another state told me to be conservative because I didn't *need* a lot of Botox, and the more you use the more you need eventually). I explained that 15 units would last many months for me. Dr. Sood said if I had great results with 15 units then he was open to giving me 15 units. That kind of validation without much pushing was welcome since I've been to places that want to give me more Botox than I want. He did tell me that because I was only getting my 11's done, it might cause the forehead to overcompensate when using an expression since my eyebrows won't be able to anymore until the Botox wears off again. I told Dr. Sood that I had problems with fainting in the past (not from Botox but because I get anxious with needles) and he laid me back a little bit and quickly gave me the injections. I was surprised that he didn't use an ice pack to numb the forehead first, and I did ask him about it after. He said that because the needle used for Botox is so small and it really doesn't hurt much, that icing the area wasn't necessary and adds a bunch of time sitting in the chair for the patient for no reason. To be honest, I actually liked that he just injected me quickly without ice because it didn't give me enough time to get anxious about the needle! And it mostly felt like a deep mosquito bite. One of the most important things I'd like to note, is that I usually get a slight and prolonged headache after Botox. With Dr. Sood, I have not gotten a headache. The last place I went to (Illinois Dermatology Institute) actually gave me an *awful* migraine that lasted into the next day. I had to call out of work! I am thinking that doctor either used bad product, or injected too deeply/hit a nerve. Dr. Sood was so gentle and quick - he obviously knows his stuff! I'm looking forward to coming back to this office in the future when I need more Botox or would like a different procedure done. Their friendliness, customer service, efficiency and skill shines through.

She's warm and personable, has a great eye for balance and symmetry, and never recommends something I don't need. Her work is consistently excellent--natural, polished results with no surprises (and no droopy lids). Colleen is a true gem and I recommend her highly to anyone looking for an experienced, trustworthy injector.

Dr. Warner is a Fraud - Stay Away!…read more I want to warn everyone about my horrible experience with Dr. Warner. I have had three failed nose surgeries under his care. My nose is still crooked, I am still bleeding, and despite all his promises, there has been zero improvement. During the third surgery, he took cartilage from my rib, which resulted in a painful infection under my breast. Each time I saw him, he assured me things would get better, but instead, he kept injecting sterilizing injections into my nose--without any real solution. I finally told him that I would be suing him for his incompetence. Now, just because I spoke the truth, he suddenly refuses to see me. He feels threatened because he knows he has done wrong. That's fine--I'll see him in court. If you look at other reviews, you will see a pattern: botched surgeries, infections, and serious complications. He doesn't even wash his hands properly, which is why so many patients suffer from infections. His entire practice is a fraud, and he should not be allowed to operate on anyone. I strongly urge everyone to research his educational background before trusting him. If anyone wants to see proof of what he has done to my nose, feel free to reach out. Stay far away from Dr. Warner. He is a pure fraud.

In labor and delivery, the nurse told us that the facility was recently updated. All the medical equipment was new, and the fetal monitor they used was even wireless. The only slight hiccup was that there was nearly no room in postpartum care. Fortunately, we got the last room in the overflow floor. Having giving birth in another state, I was extremely impressed by how updated everything was in the overflow room - the shower was brand new, and the bed could be operated to lengthen or sit at various angles. For pain management, I was a little surprised that their policy is to give ibuprofen only upon request. At the previous hospital I was at, they had a regimen switching between Tylenol and ibuprofen. Parking was probably the most difficult part. The main parking lot is a little far, and you have to use a different entrance if you're coming in the evening (rather than the main entrance of the women's hospital). However, when we left, my partner was able to temporarily park in the rotunda to make the commute a little shorter.

I got so lost just trying to park and find a level to cross over to the hospital entrance. Make sure you go to ground level and make your way over to the entrance. Nurses and doctors are great. Also there's a hallway connecting the main hospital to the cancer center so you don't have to leave the parking lot to go there. Part of the maze that's not as bad. Parking is $4 on the Kellogg side for up to 6hrs the. It jumps to $20! If you're on the Kellogg side, you can get a parking sticker which reduces it back to $4. On the hospital side I don't think you can get a sticker so we'll be paying $20! If you're in the Evanston area then this is a good hospital option. If not, it's not worth driving from far away.
