They did tell me that they were going to be discontinuing that brand but that they would still provide service. Now the hottub can't get hot (I keep it set at 104 degrees and it is stuck at 99) so I called them to see about getting it serviced. Now they no longer service these hottubs and that I need to call the company to see who can service it. They couldn't/wouldn't help me find someone to service it! Guess now that they have my money, I'm on my own. Would never go back there again. UPDATE: Closest certified American Whirlpool service center wants to charge me $471 for travel expense. I have messaged this company to ask for help since they assured me they would still service the hot tub we bought and I never heard back from them (that was over a week ago. I also called the Brandon location to see if I could get some help and all I got was "I'm sorry!". No offer to help in any way. I hope others will see this before deciding to do business with these people.

It is a true pleasure dealing with owner Pete and the manager Lilly. I recently had them change out my old 12 year old pool pump for a new one, and the change out was quick and I received a thorough tutorial on how to use the new system. My experiences with this store has been so good, I don't even bother comparing prices on equipment elsewhere. The customer service I receive at this location far exceeds pricing. It brings me back to the old mom and pop hardware stores growing up where everyone is treated like family. I wish more business establishments in todays day and age were run like this store. Cara the owner, was very gracious and advised she would have Ben, her husband, come out and look at the spa pump. Ben came and looked at the pump and felt confident it could be repaired. He ordered the necessary parts and indicated he would let us know when it came in. In the meantime, we mentioned to the pool builder doing the resurfacing that we had contacted Dutchcraft Services to repair the pump. Marty, from US Pools without us asking, stated that Ben does great work and he also recommended them. How cool was that? Ben completed the work. we had a hiccup, not because of anything Ben had done wrong, but the company putting the pebble sheen had plugged the spa to avoid material going into the pipe. They unplugged it and the spa pump works like a charm!! The best part, Ben's price was very reasonable! We are sooo happy with it and we are using the spa more than we ever have! He was friendly and knowledgeable explaining all the new functions compared to the older pump that was replaced. Up to this point my experience was 5 stars. as a result of this tablet not working I told him I would go into the store and pay the $99 installation charge. Upon arrival I provide my name and phone number to the General Manager, who quickly brings up my bill. This is when the 5 stars dropped to 2 because he wanted to charge $222.00! He told me the $99 dollar special did not include the $78 parts (2 1.5 90 degree elbows and maybe 2 foot of PVC, I provided the two elbows to save him a trip) and a $45 trip charge. After this it got heated, I explained to him that everyone from the associate who sold me the pump, the scheduling agent, and even the installation guy, $99. The general manager listened to my frustration and then honored what I was told. The take away message, confirm and print out everything before you finish the transaction. In closing, I used them 8 years ago and had a wonderful experience. This current issue has tarnished my opinion and will avoid using them in the future.- Jason

I had several quotes to get the pool cleaned and running again, some of these other companies really tried to gouge me and upcharge me on things I did not want. Bob came out and gave me a very reasonable quote and did not try to upcharge me on anything. Once the pool got cleaned out I decided I should refinish it and add a sundeck. Again they could of gave me an outrageous quote since half the job was done but once again I was given a very reasonable number. Communication was great by phone, text and email. The guys who came out to do the work were very friendly and professional. The job got done in a reasonable amount of time and the pool looks fantastic. The company was know as Walker pools previously but now called Affordable so you can look up both to find them. If I ever need pool repairs again they will be the first ones I call. A couple of weeks ago I signed up for the home pool service that included testing the water and…read morecleaning the pool, weekly, for $100 per month. I didn't think I needed to ask a lot of questions - pretty basic, test the water, clean the pool (I told them cleaning wasn't necessary since I use a robotic system). I had been using an automatic water tester that I didn't like (didn't include all the normal tests), tried test trips (low accuracy), tried the chemical kit that was delivered with the pool (not much better than test strips), and taking samples to Leslie or Pinch A Penny. Both of those companies ran very detailed tests. But I thought a weekly test conducted by Pinch A Penny would be more convenient so I signed up. First week someone comes by, tests the water using a portable chemical test (fill the vials with water, drop a solution in, shake, look a the colors against a chart) made adjustments to the salt chlorination unit. Shake the chemical vials seemed a bit strange but I didn't say anything. After 3 weeks, this morning I tried to get into Pinch A Penny website and see my weekly test reports - not at all successful. Went to their store this morning and asked to seem my results over the past 3 weeks. Not in the system, so I manager (?) came out to help. He said the results are "in the back" and asked for my address, phone number and name. Comes back with "you're ph was....." and nothing else. I asked how I can see my results. Basically, you can't - at least not electronically through their portal. You can see the ones where they tested water you brought to the store. They don't have a way to enter them into the system. They also don't email you a weekly report, etc. You also don't get any indication they came to your house, like a sticker on your door. Is this important? YES IT IS. In the first visit they used one of those fill the vials and shake test unit, not a portal device similar to what they have in the store. Warning bells went off. That caused explore testing units. Leslie has a home unit, just like the one they use in the store that you can subscribe to for $50 a month, photo below. It gives you the same results, actions to take, formatted and printable just like what they give you in the store. I used it 5 times over the past couple of weeks. The reports show I wasn't getting any benefit from Pinch A Penny testing at my house. And I mean no benefit at all that I could determine. That's why I wanted to see reports. Consider all of your options before signing up for this.

They were ready to return it and I was going to give me the correct one and a older guy comes out of the back and said, "We can't return it since it is wet". He is a real piece of work and lost a customer for this location and pinch-a-penny. I would have been ok with a return stock fee or something like that, but this guy has zero customer service and does not know how to treat loyal customers.

When I asked to return the unit for the correct size, the owners refused to permit the return by indicating the item was a "special order." They also argued that since I accepted the unit they ordered, I was responsible for checking that the unit was the correct size - even though I had provided them with the correct specs and relied on them to order the replacement correctly. Put differently, they wanted me to verify that they placed the order correctly before paying for the unit. So, I'm out $800 dollars because the owners of the store failed to acknowledge their mistake in ordering the wrong unit and wouldn't even attempt to make me whole by ordering the correct one. Terrible customer service and very questionable business practices.
