Lovely alpine hotel right outside central Truckee, spacious rooms with private balconies, friendly staff, and free EV charging! Sweet little courtyard that connects to the main lobby and bar. Great place to stay!

    Cute door hang!

What a great place!.... for the price we paid. We would never pay $310 plus, but we got a deal during their off-season for $176. It's definitely worth the off-season price! Two of us stayed in a double queen room, BUT there are two queen beds, so a family could definitely stay here. We arrived on a Monday evening around 5:30 PM and appreciated the convenience of the amenities. We signed a waiver and used their free bikes to bike to the Plaza with great food options. We chose to eat at Drunke Monkey, just one cul-de-sac away(which will be a different review) We arrived back to our place and put out our cute wooden door hang. Took a shower in our fancy restroom, and headed to the outdoor hot tub. It was magical, and the clear sky view with the beautiful trees was just a cherry on top. We soaked for about an hour and chatted with many others. It seemed people were friendly, BUT the clientele is definitely catered towards causation people. Just from observation, which was okay. We went back to the room, just know you can't eat inside the room. And slept soundly. The next morning, we gpt some breakfast sy the restaurant on site. We wished we could stay longer, but we had to catch a Amtrak(that ended up being 5 hours late, so we could've enjoyed the amenities). We did check out at 11AM per instructions, but they stowed our bags for us as we continued to check out the property. We checked out the gym and the sauna. Then we were ready to head out. Overall, the stay was amazing for the off season price. I think if I skiied more often, I would sign up for their club.

The hotel was good. The location and property size is very good along with the service team. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. There are a few things that made the stay less great, like the motion sensing light in the bathroom. The lights would go off numerous times while in the shower, thus you have to step out mid-shower to reactivate the light. It's a huge annoyance, but also a safety issue, especially with young kids. Also, the restaurant being closed during the busiest week in Truckee created a lot of extra stress in finding places to eat for dinner. Wish it was disclosed that the restaurant wouldn't be open ahead of time. This hotel has the potential to be really great.

This is my second year hosting a corporate event at Gravity Haus Truckee. The staff is amazing! They are so accommodating. A big shout out to Kayla, Meaghan, Stefan, Cody, Grayson, Tyler, Maria, and the entire team. They take such great care of my team. The meetings spaces at the hotel are perfect for our group, and it's nice to have plug and play IT equipment in the large conference room. The food is wonderful as well. Everyone raves about the catered breakfast and lunch. We love Stella as well for dinner. The hotel rooms are great. Location and amenities are superb. We look forward to our next visit!

Gravity Haus was a perfect place to stay while skiing in Tahoe. The rooms are very comfortable and the lobby was the place to unwind and play games with my 5 year old. Stella, the onsite restaurant, is a true gem and has much better food than most places around, and definitely one of the better hotel restaurants I've dined at with its menu of interesting and unique breakfast items. Staff were very kind and accommodating. Already plotting another visit!

Loved our stay here! The room was very spacious, with slick modern designs. The loose leaf herbal tea was a super nice touch! Comforter was also tucked in a way that's neat. The jacuzzi was nice and clean. Sauna was clean as new. The little gym has pretty much all you needed.

    Tomato Bisque from Stellas!

A hidden gem in Truckee! Accommodations were superb! clean, modern, well maintained! We ate dinner at their on-site restaurant called Stellas! Chef Jesse is awesome! Came out to our table and delivered short ribs that he cooked with perfection using local marigolds and pickled shallots to add very unique and tasty flavors! Tomato Bisque was the best I've ever had! Highly recommend!

We came to Truckee for the weekend to go to a wedding. There was not much availability so we booked Gravity Haus. We got a nice roomy suit. No closets and no safe. The beds are very comfortable with nice sheets and pillows. The rate was ridiculously expensive. The service is good and the rooms are very clean. The rooms are a decent size but you could get a nicer room in Tokyo for less money. That being said hotel rooms prices were very high everywhere in Truckee that weekend. The location is about 5 minutes from downtown on a busy road. No real views to be had. There is a wonderful natural smell of wood all around. The buildings are constructed with a combination or exposed steel and wood. The main lobby building and the restaurant have some unique architectural details... Massive exposed beams and supports throughout. They sell Gravity Haus as a kind of base station for guys into rock climbing and mountain biking but that's marking fluff. The gym is pretty basic but they say they are getting more equipment soon. We had breakfast at their restaurant "Stellar". Nothing to write home about. I would definitely go into town instead. Lots of free coffee and good tea in the lobby.

Multiple great things to say about this place. Our check-in was just awesome. Josh went above and beyond to take care of us. The hotel was clean very very clean and met all our expectations. FYI, we love the interior decor. They have accommodating adult beverages in the check-in area. And coffee in the morning. I can't say enough about the service though. Josh was just awesome throughout our whole stay. Definitely management material. Shelby was also so so great to us. Both of these two went above and beyond.

Windows the front desk told me to leave open

They do not have air conditioning in the room which is a first for any hotel I've ever stayed in. No fans either. When I inquired about it with the front desk they said just leave the windows open. Leaving the windows open while you're on the first floor next to a road while you're with children is just ... fill in the blank. For this reason alone I'll never return.

We arrived shortly after check-in time on a Wednesday and were able to get our keys without too much trouble, although the lady that was checking us in didn't seem too suited for customer service - she gave off sarcastic, "I don't want to be here" vibes. Our room itself was cozy, clean, and comfortable. Some of the items could have been better stocked before our stay, such as the tissues - I think we only had a few of them in the box so quickly ran out and had to request housekeeping bring more the next day. Housekeeping isn't done daily so you do have to request it manually if you need anything. There were a couple of water stains on the ceiling but nothing too major. All toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, lotion, and hand soap are provided and the quality is actually pretty decent. I was very impressed with the complimentary breakfast included in your stay. You have hot items like eggs, potatoes, and sausage as well as cereal, muffins, bread, oatmeal, and a waffle maker. The hot items rotate, too, so you don't have the exact same breakfast each day of your stay. Staff was friendly, and the common area was very comfortable with a fair amount of seating. I believe coffee is also available all day. There was a power outage during our stay that lasted around 6-7 hours but luckily it happened in the middle of the night so most people probably didn't even realize it and it didn't impact our stay at all. I just happened to notice when I woke up in the middle of the night and noticed lights not turning on and some electronics not working.

I would recommend staying here if you are headed to North Star or Palisades to go skiing and snowboarding. Very conveniently located! The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Our fifth-floor room was sharp and spacious. Bed and pillows were comfortable enough. We enjoyed the Club Lounge access (same floor!); it was an amazing amenity and absolutely worth it. One of the highlights was meeting onsite manager Gus completely by happenstance. He immediately elevated what was already a wonderful, customer-forward experience. It's not vacation unless I make a trip to the spa. And I am so grateful for my experience! I had a 100-minute massage with Joey, and my knots, adhesions, and trigger points were no match for her firm yet incredibly gentle hands. She took extra time and care with me, and I was especially touched by her compassion as we discussed some of my ongoing needs following breast cancer. After my massage, I had a 50-minute facial with Bree, and her hands were unbelievably therapeutic and relaxing. She listened carefully to my concerns and personalized the experience beautifully. The California Organic Facial using Eminence Organic Skin Care left my skin deeply hydrated, refreshed, and glowing. Five stars for the property, the setting, the service, and especially the people who made our stay so memorable.
