The estimated ship date for my two Four Hands artwork pieces was August 14th, a timeline that was confidently confirmed by a Grayson Living email on July 29th. The constant delays and conflicting updates that followed demonstrate a total lack of internal communication and quality control. August 23rd: I had to initiate contact because I never received tracking information. August 26th: Grayson Living responds with the lie that my order was "ready for shipment" and they were just "waiting on tracking details." September 5th: After more silence, I called for an update. The phone agent had no tracking info and, contrary to the email, could not confirm if the order was even complete. September 7th: Another confusing email arrives, claiming the carrier "was unable to pickup" my already-produced order and that a new delivery attempt would be made in 1-2 weeks. September 15th: A glimmer of hope with an email stating the shipment was "on the way." September 22nd: The order finally arrives, four months after my purchase and well past the original estimated date. The climax of this unbelievable ordeal? It was the wrong shipment. This is not a story of a minor delay; it is a case study in systemic failure. Grayson Living's team demonstrated a complete inability to track, communicate, or verify their own orders. From false confirmations to conflicting information between their email and phone support, the process was nothing short of a bait-and-switch. But the incompetence didn't end with the wrong delivery; it continued with a return process that makes the customer do all the work. After informing Grayson Living of their mistake, they did not offer to make it right. There was no apology or promise to expedite a new, correct shipment. Instead, they placed the burden on me, detailing the steps I would need to take to return the merchandise they mistakenly sent. Not only did they waste four months of my time, but they expect me to spend my own time and energy fixing their colossal error. To wait 90+ days only to receive a completely incorrect order, and then be forced to jump through hoops to initiate a return, is an insult to the customer and a clear indicator that this company does not respect its patrons or its own business operations. Do not be fooled by their seemingly high-end website. The back-end support is a disorganized disaster that will waste your time and leave you empty-handed--or in my case, with someone else's expensive merchandise. I am here to tell a customer satisfaction story achieved by Grayson Living, and with Angela Olson particularly, that is beyond a 5 star review... I purchased an over 200 lb well-made dresser on Grayson Living's website after negotiated a price that was the best available online. I was satisfied, it was fully paid, and I began the wait. In retrospect, I should have anticipated how heavy the dresser is given the price point. Worst decision made by me however, I did not pay extra for the white glove delivery in order to have the dresser delivered to the room of our choice. In my case, it is the 2nd floor bedroom. When the delivery day came, I was shocked. The 200 lb, 72" w x 20" d x 46" h package was now sitting in my living room, challenging my courage to open it. 2 days later, my partner and I spent 2 hours in our small living room, opening the package, packaging up the packaging material, managing the cat, cleaning up, bluh bluh bluh... and here comes the worst part, how can we move this up?? We tried removing all the drawers, and the weight was still too much to manage by the 2 of us. I decided to give Angela a call, to see if it was possible to add the white glove delivery option, even though the package had been delivered. Long story short, after a couple phone calls with Grayson Living and the 3rd party delivery service they contracted to use, it's approved. I scheduled the white glove delivery a couple days later, and I am relieved to say that the delivery team made short, effective work of it, and the dresser is finally in the right place. I am thankful for the effort the Grayson Living's team has put together. They have demonstrated how great customer service is still valuable to any customer in today's world. I highly recommend doing business with Grayson Living. P.S. Angela also helped us researching out how to remove drawers and putting them back given that these aren't the typical Ikea style we are accustomed to. read more
