I came here recently after seeing it highlighted on instagram. I was looking for a tall dresser and there was only one that day. I did ask someone they get new items very often. They did have a lot of bed frames that were modern and minimalist looking at a very reasonable prices. They had a ton of beautiful chairs, sofas, tables and accent pieces. I have gone with my wife on many occasions, and my vision was way off on the item she wanted purchase, however once we brought the items home it all of a sudden comes together. I really liked this discount furniture store! It kind of gives off a Goodwill thrift store kind of feel, but it had some pretty neat items. I came in here, originally looking for some patio furniture, which I think is currently out of season right now, so I didn't find any, but ended up walking around and exploring. The store itself is literally a warehouse, full of discounted goods. They have everything from couches, chairs, bed frames, rugs, pillows, tables, desks, lamps, plates, mirrors, art, etc. I ended up stumbling upon a medium-sized wood-framed mirror, and got it for $14. Some of these items look a bit used, like the mirror, but I feel like that kind of adds character to the pieces. Some of the deals here are really good, but you just gotta look for them, like at the thrift stores! There were some workers around offering assistance, but I feel like this place is more of a walk around and see what you like kind of store. read more

This use to be my go to spot for picking up gently used furniture for staging and design projects. The deals and selection use to be amazing. I've stopped by a few times since they moved and this place honestly sucks now. I wouldn't recommend making the drive over there. A lot of the pieces now are outdated, heavily scratched, and the selection is minimal compared to the past. I guess as the saying goes "all good things must come to an end" and jltm has entered its flop era. I'm assuming it's because they seem to have started offering their own design services, I'm guessing they are just keeping all the good pieces for their own projects now. Who knows. Cool spot if you're looking for some accent pieces or furniture for your house. We're fans of their artwork selection as you never really know what you might find and there's a wide-range of options available regardless of your decor preference. The best part, none of it will break the bank. On the last trip, we picked up a cool 7ft canvas of a human body that normally retailed for $3k and we were able snag it for $120. Just make sure you really inspect whatever you're buying as all items are sold "as is" and may have had a rough history. If you aren't picky about a few scuff marks, you can really take advantage of their sofa and dresser selections. They just might need a little TLC, but they're usually all in good shape other than that. The store can sometimes be hit or miss depending on what you're looking for, however, they constantly bring in new stuff so you never know what you might find. If you see something you want, but it wont fit in your car, they'll hold it for seven days for you at no-charge, and then it's $10/day for storage. Depending on what it is, you can easily hire a Task Rabbit to retrieve for you, too. Staff are always super friendly and willing to help with measurements, questions, or getting something from a high shelf. Definitely worth a stop to see what they have. read more

Came in today to look for a large picture to occupy a large wall in the house. Unfortunately with this place it's a hit or miss as new merchandise comes in all the time. I guess I was just a little disappointed when several of the cool items I saw had missing pieces or scratches or chips or was completely broken. Yet they still try to sell this stuff. Not everything is like this though and there's plenty of newer non damaged furniture and more. My wife and I have purchased several items from Just Like the Model over the 10 years we have been together. Overall, it is quality stuff and better than having to put furniture together yourself. Like any secondhand furniture store, it is hit-or-miss as to what you will find. We chose to check out Just Like the Model on New Year's Eve after journeying to Ikea. There were maybe 7 people in the store when we arrived, but the pickings were slim as far as inventory. We did our usual thing and checked out the artwork which is generally horrid. Do people really hang such horrible things on their walls? There are also other just as horrible objets d'art for sale if you want to decorate your dining room table or pick up something for a white elephant gift. On this particular adventure, we were looking to get chair for our living room and there were plenty to choose from. Many of them....not the best looking pieces of furniture. Although my wife, with her keene eye for decorating, managed to find one that was comfortable and somewhat matched the color scheme in our living room. She also found a small stool that we decided to use as a small end table/plant stand. As far as pricing goes, Just Like the Model is a bit cheaper than buying the furniture brand new. The price tags will give you a retail price and a sale price. The customer service isn't bad. The few employees we interacted with were friendly and they were wearing masks as were the other customers. read more

If you are looking for a genuine & friendly service while you shop - STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. The employees who work here are extremely rude & unprofessional whenever it comes to a simple question or request. This place or should I say junkyard doesn't even deserve a one star they deserve -10000000. The quality of merchandise range from being minority medicore to poor. Once you enter the so called warehouse you immediately notice it looks like junkyard that belongs in a shanty town. It looks so grimy inside I wouldn't be surprised to see a family of cockroaches fly out as you enter or shop around. The major issue I had with was the service - the employees there are not there to help you they are there to nitpick one wrong thing you say/do like (oh looks little scratched) (oh this won't match my bedroom)(oh this looks dirty) (what kind of duvet is this) be warned you will be either severely judged or yelled at. Bought two pillows and called and got into a heated argument (due to an allergy) with the fake "manager" on duty. He seems to really know what he's talking about if you have allergies they are severe especially when you are extremely sensitive. I have disputed this with my dedicated personal wealth management banker team at Chase Private Client and they were in such shock they refunded the purchase immediately and even apologized on behalf there horrible service. Go to these places listed below instead that have actual people that want to help make your experience not only a memorable one but one with better selection/quality. 1. Feed back about Just Like Model: Neat and interesting pieces. Large inventory on art, wall pieces and chairs, sofas etc. but the prices were hefty. Some stuff I found at living spaces for the same price. It's a hit and miss. I did like a few art pieces that were reasonable but some had digs and minimal damage. It was so cold inside the warehouse. I do not believe they heat the place. So if you go in the Winter, I highly recommend you take a jacket. We did not buy anything but will go back in the spring to see new inventory. read more

This is a big warehouse filled with items (mostly furniture) out of model homes. A lot of the furniture has wear and tear or some damage. Some of the bedding and fabric items have some dirt or stains, so check them out carefully. There are some good deals but most of the pieces are still not cheap and some are actually priced high. The scale of many of the pieces is for larger homes. They do have outdoor furniture, and pieces for nearly every room in the house (& office). Rugs & bedding & decor pieces too. Definitely Not worth the drive. You can do much better at a carefully curated consignment shop. Most of the furniture was damaged in some way stained, chipped et cetera, when this is taken into account even the designer brand pieces (which are few and far between) suddenly no longer seem like such a bargain. The new owner is also rude and has a take it or leave it cavalier attitude, like he couldn't care less about retaining your business. This type of attitude is fairly perplexing given the current struggle businesses are facing with Covid. I'll preface this by saying all my interactions with employees was positive. I went here for the first time last week and was underwhelmed with my experience. I went looking for a desk so I could work from home comfortably. There was very little variety and I ended up buying the only decent looking desk for $150 but it was missing the bottom of the drawers. I stopped by Lowe's on my way home and fixed the problem myself. I got really curious tonight and decided to try to research the desk to find original price and found the same desk for $110 with $10 delivery from Walmart. Total fail on my part I guess but I'm definitely not coming back to Just like the model. They claim to sell their items for 50% off retailers price, interesting. There was also a women walking carelessly throughout the store with her mask on her chin the entire time (at least 30 minutes) and not a single employee said anything to her. That's besides the point tho. Just for the cherry on top, they scratched the interior of my car significantly while loading the desk inside. It is the definition of "Hit and Miss" and the prices can be wildly inconsistent. I have seen the very same stool priced 50.00 different. I have seen really awful things in bad condition priced very high, but then I have seen- and on many occasions scored-- extremely high-end pieces for a fraction of the price. You can not just go one time and expect to find something great... it is truly a hunter's paradise. I have furnished probably 50% of my home with JLTM finds. This was over a period of 3-5 years,mind you. At one time I visited this place on a weekly basis (I had a similarly addicted friend at the time I'd go with). Things I scored over the years: -Bulletin Board, covered with fabric in ornate frame and HUGE $12.50 -Misc art pieces, price varied -BIG mirror, under 100.00 -ceramic decorative pieces, price varied (I have less luck with accessories, to be fair) -PILLOWS, Bedding.... great when they are 50% off -Upholstered kitchen stools $20.00 each -Stanley MADE IN USA beautiful armoire (see my pic) , which I adore but is so huge I couldn't get it upstairs to my bedroom... $300.00 -Highboy dresser, carved solid wood $185.00 -set of night tables, beautiful, $59.99 each -pottery barn solid oak dresser for the boy $199.00 -beautiful frenchy white washed dresser for the girl $69.99 There is probably more, but this is just the stuff in my house I am looking at.. hehe. I came in looking for matching night stands and possibly a desk chair. There weren't any nightstands the day I went (which was a busy Saturday) and the kind of desk chair I was looking for was already sold. I was also hoping to find some decor pieces for my built in shelves but I didn't see anything unique or eye catching. There wasn't a lot of product in the decor aisle, actually pretty bare. However, I did notice another section of just books. They were at a cheap price and would be perfect for a diy to just paint the front covers of whatever you like! It's the day after Valentine's and I'm not feeling the love for this establishment. We have visited this store many times in the past and have come away with plenty of quality items. We went this past weekend hoping to pick up some dining and patio furniture. Because it's a big warehouse, it took time for us to scour. My little boy got impatient and started playing on some of the chairs. I was sitting on one of them because I was looking for the 15% off coupon that I normally use when paying. I had already shushed my son to sit still but the owner (who was busy puttering about) came down and scolded me for not tending to my son. I apologized but he unnecessarily threw his weight around by stating that he had already paid for those chairs and if my child breaks them, he was going to lose his investment. To be honest, I did not know he was the owner. I thought he was one of the customers but he then proceeded to declare that he owns the store. I had said sorry more than once but he was really getting testy with me. His demeanor reeked of arrogance and he acted like he did not give a damn about keeping customers' loyalty. I agree with one of the reviewers (Darla C.) who wrote "The new owner is also rude and has a take it or leave it cavalier attitude, like he couldn't care less about retaining your business." When it came time for me to pay for the 2 picture frames that I took interest on, I politely asked the cashier if she would honor the 15% coupon for Brookfield employees and homeowners. The cashier said she had to ask the owner first. Well of course, Mr. High and Mighty was none too happy to see my face again and his expression spoke volumes about his frustration of having to answer my question. He said and I quote "What is it this time?" Whoa. He needs to go back to school and learn GOOD MANNERS AND RIGHT CONDUCT. He refused to honor the coupon and scolded me again because he said the coupon was only for a one time use, even though I had no problems using it several times before. The coupon states "Valid for a single item", not "Valid for one time use". No use arguing with a donkey on blinders so I let it go. Nevertheless, I went ahead with my purchase. Yeah, it's laughable, I asked for a discount for items that cost a measly $15 total but I am frugal like that. Also, truthfully, we were about to buy one of the dining sets but because of the owner's treatment of me and my kids, I motioned to my husband that I did not want to go through with the big ticket items anymore. We are never going back to this store for as long as that person is the owner. There is a reason why this store is only rated 3 stars here on Yelp. The customer experience leaves a lot to be desired. I love this store! Really great furniture for a fraction of what it would cost at a normal store. Given you have to really check out each piece. Since they were furniture that was previously used for model homes, some will have a few Knicks and glue. A few pieces, minor issues. But still, for the price, it's worth it. This place is located in a huge warehouse, they sectioned it off by categories (stools, tables, accessories, etc) which was helpful. I wouldn't recommend coming here with kids, if u we're planning to. Well with any furniture place, u should really try to avoid bring kids in general. Don't want them breaking things u know They do provide delivery for a fee. it's a 3rd party they use. I believe it was up to 5 or 6 pieces. The delivery company, very nice man (has 1 other guy to help him out) They made sure the furniture was handled properly and wouldn't mess up. Delivery was pretty quick, delivered the next day.
