    It was an unfortunate set of events that dictated we would not have our car repaired at Lucas…read moreAutomotive Specialties, but instead trade it in but that didn't stop the receptionist from being very rude, unprofessional and then hanging up on me when I said, it was unacceptable that we could not get the car back until tomorrow. I called back to speak to her supervisor and told him it was unacceptable that we could not get our car back today since she told me, I'll call you when it gets here. Making it sound like it was on its way and never once saying it could be a day or so from this morning. So I called back late in the afternoon trying to find out why I haven't heard back and she told me I couldn't get it until tomorrow. I explained that my wife needs it for work tomorrow and why wasn't I told that. She then said she did tell me, which she did not. So after she hung up on me I called back and I asked to speak to her boss. He was no better than she was in rudeness and professionalism. Years ago, I had dealt with them before and now remember what she was like that time too. They may do great work there but I wouldn't know it but I'll tell you what with those attitudes I will never go back there nor recommend them to anyone I know. I have never been treated so poorly by people who want to continue to do business in this town. On day two sometime just after 11 AM the lady from the front desk called with the estimate and we decided not to have the work done, she was angry and upset. I said I was leaving to pick up the car and that's when they told me it was taken to a subcontractor and she'll call me when it's back. I tried to interject that I would go pick it up, but she made it sound like it was already on the way. I was working and lost track of time and it got to be around 5 PM and I called back and she said the car is not there yet and that it would be there tomorrow morning. I told her that was unacceptable, because she knew my wife needed it to see patients as a traveling nurse. She said, I told you I'll call you when it's here and hung up on me. She knew from that morning that my wife was a traveling nurse and had patients to see the next day and needed the car but that didn't matter to her. Day three of dealing with Rich Lucas of Lucas Automotive Specialties and his representative at the front desk. I arrived at 8 AM, and another man was trying to help me but when Rich walked in he said I was wasting his time because I was looking for the best price for the work I want it done to the car and that they don't do estimates unless the work is being done there. (I ask you, what is an estimate for if you're gonna have to have the work done there and you don't have a choice once you get the estimate? No one I've ever dealt with before after getting an estimate done has demanded that I have to work done by them because they did the estimate. That is utter foolishness. So not only is he a mean old man he has deceitful business practices any uses fear and intimidation to try to get you to cave in to his view of things. We weren't even told until day two the car was taken to someone else to have the estimate done.) I went there at 8 AM to pick up the car and was told by Rich Lucas I don't listen because they said they would call me and no one called me. I said I understand but we need the car and I'll go pick it up. Rich said angrily, we don't work that way now get the "F" out as he stood up and pointed at the door. I said you're withholding my vehicle from me out of spite because we didn't have the work done here and I don't owe you any money, I'm calling the police. After the police came, he finally said the car would be there at 9 AM. I went back home and picked up my wife so she could leave straight from there. We arrived at around 8:40 AM and by 8:55 AM her car was still not there. At this point she took mine to see her patient and I waited inside where I could continue to watch the parking lot entrance. At around 9:20 AM I saw out of the corner of my eye Rich get up from the front desk and go back into the shop and then a few minutes later he showed up in the parking lot out front with my wife's car. Rich Lucas made me wait an additional 20 minutes, past the time he said the car would be there, knowing he had the car in the back the whole time. When he finally showed up with the car he had come from his back lot of which there is no access, except through the front entrance of which I have been watching since 8:40 AM. This means he is a deceitful, spiteful, lying, cheat. That's just my opinion after dealing with him for three days. It's also my opinion, based on my personal observations that he had my car the entire time and he was just being mean and spiteful.

    We brought our truck to Plano Quick Care to have new rotors and new brake pads installed this past…read moreAugust and at the beginning of December ,we heard a grinding sound coming from the front of the truck, we made an appt the next day with the closest auto shop to find out what was causing the noise. After investigating, they found the two front brake pads were installed incorrectly, the inners were placed on the outside and the outers were placed on the inside. Which caused a heat crack in the brake pads and damaged to the rotors, we had new brake pads installed again and they re surfaced the rotors . We went to Plano Quick Care, to show Oscar, the manager , the original brake pads with the heat cracks and the pictures of what the mechanic found regarding the incorrectly installed brake pads and it was documented on paperwork from an ASE Certified automotive location. We wanted him to make things right and at least offer funds to help pay for part of the new install and not a $130.00 in-store credit. Oscar, decided that we didn't give him a fair shake by not coming to him first to have the problem fixed . First of all, we didn't not know the brake pads or rotors were the problem since they are less then 4 months old and after finding that out ,put yourself in our shoes, why would I bring my truck back to your location where your mechanics are the ones who created the problem by not correctly installing the brake pads on the truck. I do not recommend this place due to employees not be properly trained to work in the automotive industry and have caused us more problems with our Truck.

    SCAMERS!!! Apparently, I haven't been the first one who has been taken advantage of. Unfortunately,…read moreI went there just for a nail on my tire, since it was irreparable I was informed that a new tire was needed, as they didn't have the same tire. They had to install "my spare tire" since they pulled out the nail and tire got flat. I had no choice but let them install it. I was told "there was no charge" I thought it was very odd since they had spent over an hour in my car. (In all that time the female kept going to the back and staying long periods there, fishy) Well, I ended up driving away with a junk of piece spare tire shoved into my car, because they didn't install my original brand new spare tire. Since, I'm not playing games with the devil I had it documented. Next business day early morning I called to communicate them that I wanted my original spare tire back. Female on the phone was the same front desk person that was there that day, she just demonstrated her lack of professionalism, she denied everything and said bring your car back "I'll show you". I asked, what are you going to show me? She wanted to show me: How to force fit the spare tire jack into the piece of junk she and her elderly parter shoved into my car. Seriously? You wanted to show me how to fit the jack on something that I own, that belongs to me!? Like if I have no clue how the stuff that I have on my car must be perfectly fitted or placed, I was not born yesterday lady. Then, she proceeded to lose her temper and started yelling at me that if I have a problem with my car I should just bring it back to them. NO! I would never give you a chance to place your hands on my belongings EVER again! Further more, she continued yelling and threatened me to call her corporation if I keep calling and hung up my call; What's your corporation supposed to do, other than be ashamed of how this branch doesn't waste time to take advantage of customers. Also, I know a young lady that went to this place; she said they messed up her tires and they tried to keep one of her brand new tires. She asked them to give back to her and they were "oh, yes! We "forgot " we'll bring it to you" Boo! Stop thinking we females are an easy target and that we have no clue what belongs to us, or that we are ignorants and that we had no people that have our backs. So, here are my two cents to your business. First, you DO NOT had the right to yell at me lady, the only person who had the right to do that was my mother (yet she never did). You are no one to attribute yourself that right, apparently no one taught you, that taking someone belongings is called: stealing! Second, I never went there to ask anything for "free" I would have been more than happy to pay for the service and your time. But the "free" crap it's their bait. Advice; if you really want to save money, take your business somewhere else trustworthy as I did for my tire and brakes, based on other reviews (I would never compromise my safety with them). I had to get a new original spare tire because there was no way I would have shoved that piece of junk into my car. And no, no! No way, I'm not longer interested to talk to the management of this branch. I wasted enough time, money and energy with your shady business. Oh! by the way yelling lady, your nails looked bad! (I do have pictures, videos)

    This will be a very long review in order to include all info…read more.. This place used to be awesome... But over the last couple years the quality and integrity have drastically declined. Brought my jeep in because I thought the shocks were bad and had a check engine light, I was told the issue was a module for the air suspension. I was quoted about 2k to fix. It wasn't super important to me but I planned on keeping the vehicle so I just did it. Immediately after picking up the vehicle the engine light went on again and it was the same code. They looked at it again and said now I need some other 2k part. I told them I would have NEVER spend 4k to fix this and basically got screwed out of 2k. Fast forward, because I did have some history with this place I assumed what happened may have been a fluke but I was extremely wrong. Brought the same vehicle in because I had a code for misfire in cylinder 5 and the engine had a tick sound. They inspected and told me it just needed plugs and coils. I have a voicemail from them specifically stating a tune up will definitely fix my issue and it was almost 1,100! I said go ahead and do the work. Before I even picked up my vehicle they called and said I still have a tick and they can inspect more of course with added fees. At this point I was very mad that they misdiagnosed AGAIN and still intended to charge me full price. I called a friend who is a mechanic in Michigan and called my local Jeep dealer and with only telling them I had a misfire they BOTH immediately told me it's because of the cam and rollers which is like a 7k job! I then did a very quick google search to verify this and it seems to be a very very common issue with this make and model. I was then told by the shop manager that John (the owner) told him if we were going to "act some kinda way" over this that he would remover the labor and only charge us for the parts and to never come back (still over $500 for nothing). We had no choice but to pay since the vehicle was held hostage until we paid. Needles to say I was NEVER planning to go back there and it's really disappointing how fast this shop went down hill and no longer stands behind their work.
