I came in because my oil was low as I just got my oil changed not even 3 weeks ago at jiffy lube. I believe her name is Patty at the front desk, but she did not fail to put the biggest smile on my face, she offered cookies gave a TON of treats to my puppy and did everything in her power to just make my day which wasn't hard for her because man she is amazing. The staff got me in immediately and took care of everything I needed all free of charge. I don't remember his name that was working on my car but he went above and beyond just for the littlest things and explained everything to me very well. I will definitely be coming here from now on. Confused as to the lower ratings. Hundreds of high ratings on Google. Anyway, due to the sign of the times; dealers online scheduling doesn't work AND/OR can't get anyone on phone or called back! I called GM asking for an appointment. Replied they are first come, first served due to appointment abuse. Ok, being flexible asked what would be a good time to come in? Replied mid-afternoon and I pulled right in and was met by a tech. Very courteous, thorough and efficient. Sat down in waiting room, time flew by and I was done! BTW, their work does not void any warranty and they offer veteran discount too! So guess where my service will be forthcoming? Thanks GM team! read more

Am I wrong to think that when a company quotes a price for service it should include everything? I stopped by for a oil change (I'm from out of town so am unfamiliar with the local area) and the guy who meet me quoted me $89.99 for a synthetic oil change. The bill was $117. I asked about the difference and he said labor and tax. OK, I get that tax is often not included in quotes but labor as an unquoted add-on? Is the oil going to change itself? I complained and he dropped $8 in a heartbeat, as though this was fully expected (although that didn't cover the entire "up charge") Then I pull away and noticed that they didn't even reset the oil change counter. An oil change location has only a few responsibilities: take the drain plug off, drain the oil, change the filter, put the drain plug back on, and refill the oil. This Grease Monkey could not accomplish this very basic set of tasks. Less than 48 hours after getting my oil changed there, my car started producing a large amount of white smoke and the low oil pressure light came on. I fortunately got the car stopped quickly, and when I pulled over the car was dropping a large amount of oil onto the pavement. A quick inspection found that the drain plug was completely gone. After getting the car towed (somewhere else!), I retraced where I had been since then and found oil puddles where I had parked it. I am sure that the drain plug was insufficiently tightened at Grease Monkey, and then completely fell out. I am hopeful that there has not been engine damage, and have already spent tow fees. I am sure there will be repair costs as well. I would not recommend this Grease Monkey to anyone. I will update this review after I give Grease Monkey an opportunity to rectify the situation. Update: I'll give Grease Monkey credit. They covered everything and were very apologetic - rental car, tow fees, repair, cleaning. That being said, I still can't recommend going here given the problems I had. read more

The other day my daughter wanted to go to the farm to pet the horses. Horses? I know where they have a freaking MONKEY in town! I figured, hey, I get an oil change, she gets to pet a monkey (is that what you do with monkeys, pet them?) and neither one of us has to go to the farm. Well, she was disappointed but my car was happy. I've always had really good service at this location. Watch for the $10.00 off coupons (or the $25 full service, which is an even better deal). Can't speak to the majority of their services but oil changes have always been fast an efficient. 5 stars for the grease. -1 for the false monkey advertising = 4 stars. read more

I had the good fortune of stopping here yesterday when my tire was giving me trouble. It had been slowly leaking for several weeks and I had not been able to find out why, even though I had been to another similar shop in town. The gentlemen found a headless nail, fixed the problem and handed me my keys. When I went in to pay for the service they refused, just telling me to come back for an oil change some day. Thank you! My daughter took her car to get an oil change and they charged her for synthetic oil and said it was required when she said she only wanted regular oil. She has never put synthetic oil in her car before at other Grease Monkeys. I went down and spoke to the manager and he told me synthetic was required and I said I wanted credit for the extra $50 he charged for synthetic oil but no such luck. My husband went down and showed them the car manual and it does not say it takes synthetic that it takes 5w-20 and would still not credit us $50. I'm upset because they took advantage of a young girl that wasn't aware that they were lying to her. So a $42.99 oil change ended up costing her $97.49, but they're like we'll give you a $10 off making it $89.54 which is ridiculous for a 2010 Honda Civic hybrid. I used to like this place. First time here the place was great. They helped me with my needs quickly and honestly. I have been back a few times now and even drove from Ft Collins here today to get my my truck services. Though the staff was nice enough the work was sub-par. They had finished and I was paying, the truck was pulled out. I asked if the tire pressure was checked. They then pulled it back in and checked the air. Washed the windows and barely vacuumed. Normal is fluid check and top off. They did not check brake or power-steering fluid as I was standing there watching and again had to ask. I got the truck home and knowing I am having some brake issues I pulled my front tire. The truck had not been lubed and the zerks were all dry. IF all they were going to do was drop the oil and put some in I could just as easily did that. I brought it in so that gear boxes would be checks, drive train lubed, and my basic fluids to be taken care of along with my oil change. Very dissatisfied with the service at this point. read more

I tried to have a "routine" oil change, They broke a part on my engine and tried to tell it had broken before. The only place the car has been BEFORE is to Grease Monkey in Windsor. They tried to glue it, tape it a real hack job. Offer no help, couldn't use my car to conduct business that night nor leave town when I had hoped the following day. Replaced the broken part and charged me $141.03 to do so. Cord (I assume was manager) was rude, disinterested and in my opinion a liar. The part that mysteriously broke was a breather tube which doesn't move, doesn't vibrate doesn't do anything but allow a small flow of air. I've probably had 75+ oil changes done at this site, there won't be any more! read more
