I was told it was going to be a certain amount of time but unfortunately it ended up taking about 30 minutes longer than anticipated. Getting the car back seemed a little more complicated than it needed to be just because they had a pretty big line for folks trying to drop off their car and also a fairly long line of folks wanting to pick up as well. Always appreciate their free tire fill service and also fixing flats.

I had bought new tires there about 2 months earlier and one had gone flat due to a sharp rock penetrating the tread. Inspecting the damage, they determined that it was not repairable. The further bad news was they didn't have a replacement in inventory nor was one available in their area. They could order one, but wouldn't be delivered till the next day. Jeremy, the manager, stepped up and offered to drive me somewhere. I smiled and thanked him, then told him I lived 125 miles away. His grin faded but he took his responsibility so seriously to keep his customer safe that he would not say yes to my plan to limp home on the donut and return the next day, a total of 250miles. He scrambled and found a replacement tire in Johnstown. I offered to drive down to pick it up, but he had his wife bring it and by 6:30 that evening I was able to drive way on that new tire. My only out of pocket was purchasing the warranty on the new tire. I am forever grateful to Jeremy (and his wife!), Amanda and Aaron who found ways around all the challenges to get me back on the road. This is customer service, integrity and kindness on steroids. I was diagnosed with cancer in 2023 and my resources were focused solely on my health care needs. For that reason, a government agency stepped in and provided me with assistance to get repair work done to my vehicle, necessary for transportation to my job and medical appointments. Alpine received $1,516 in advance and entered into a promise to service agreement with the government agency. However, they not only failed to do what they said they would but damaged my vehicle in the process. Fluid top off, filled the washer fluid 1/2 full with diluted solution then said "That's full to us" when brought to their attention. Air filter replacement requested a high quality filter, brand specific. They didn't do that however, damaged bracketing from the force of taking off the air filter cover; subsequently causing damage to the wiring between the battery and the alternator, visibly. New battery was put in but they put a sticker on it from two months prior, shorting the date of warranty two months. Interstate battery addressed that one. The work they did caused damage to my vehicle, now completely un-drivable due to a failed alternator and damaged wiring. They don't answer their phone, don't respond to emails, so I've had to resort to getting third-party assistance with this issue. Mark has some real problems with bad staff. The lead mechanic who oversaw the work on my car actually came outside and confronted me, aggressively, for bringing the issues to their attention. Aggressive staff with totally inappropriate boundaries, personally and professionally, negligence during repair work, and dishonesty. These are major issues.

Other reviews complaining about timing is actually a good sign. They take their time with each and every car and are busy due to them being trustworthy. They provide a list of fair broken down quotes and help explain any charge you can see on them. My six year old tires were balding and honestly needed replacing a long time ago. My own dealership didn't even catch that, and I sure as hell wasn't going to myself. Full four tire replacement for my Volkswagen Beetle (a very niche car) was ranging from $800-$1000. The only critique I could give is some side eye from the staff, I'm sure seeing a person knowing nothing about cars is tiresome, however it shouldn't be met with judgement .
