The store was bright with neon lights and it looked inviting and very clean. Desserts such as cupcakes, cake slices, cookies and mini sweet potato pies were lined up neatly along the counter, and the temperature regulated case up front had salted caramel, red velvet, and french vanilla cheesecakes; banana pudding; and strawberry yum yum cake. Red velvet is one of my favorite flavors and that's usually my "go to" cupcake when I try a new place. But, that red velvet cheesecake was calling my name! I got a slice of that and then I couldn't resist getting a piece of the honeybun cake. After taking one bite of each cake, it was clear to me that they know how to make incredible cake! The red velvet cheesecake had a light and soft layer of cheesecake nestled between two moist pieces of red velvet cake that boasted a beautiful cocoa flavor. And while the honeybun cake reminded me more of a coffee cake than a honeybun, it was full of cinnamon, glazed, and delicious nonetheless.
