Let me first say I am absolutely obsessed with Crumbl's cookies. I would sell my soul for their peanut butter cookies, they are just a perfect combination of salty and sweet, but since Crumbl changes their flavors every week, I decided to give Insomnia a try. They deliver all the way from their south side location to Ponte Vedra which is a major plus. Sorry Insomnia but your peanut butter cookies are just way too salty for me, they remind me of the ritz peanut butter sandwiches exactly. I had worked a long 36 hours over a rainy weekend and just wanted to be at home and also have a sweet treat. Insomnia Cookies came up in conversation a few days prior and ..they deliver! After a quick look at the menu, I knew I wanted a cookie which. I chose triple chocolate for my two cookies and the creamy buttercream frosting between them was amazing! My other half thought he needed two cookie whiches (until he saw the size) and chose triple chocolate and also the reese's peanut butter cup cookies. They arrived within 30 minutes or so in a cute box and OMG they are so huge! The cookies were still warm and melty and I was in love. We had some dinner that was also delivered, so after just a couple bites we put them aside..but I was hooked. A little later we took the cookies to bed with a movie and it was a sweet night indeed. My co workers and I decided to try this place out after lunch in celebration of my birthday. I have heard of this place but never knew there was one on Southside! How nice to have one at this location. It's near tinseltown, in the same plaza! The place is pretty small. They do delivery till 3am (pretty dangerous - I need to stay away from the temptation ) They allow 2 people into the shop at a time due to COVID. There may be a line when you get here, but it goes by pretty fast. The line is worth the wait if you want delicious cookies. I ordered delivery from Insomnia Cookies via DoorDash and have to say I was very disappointed. It took almost 2 hours for the delivery to arrive while the website listed a 25 minute delivery time. I ordered a mix of 6 cookies which ran close to $20, but I had the munchies and opted for convenience of delivery. The cookies were good, but nothing more special than if I went and bought a box from the Publix deli for a 1/4 of the price. From now on I'll stick with Crumbl cookies since their delivery via DoorDash is way faster, the cookies are way better, and it's even a little less expensive. read more

It was a small location only allowing two customers inside at a time so more than two then the line forms outside. I ordered six cookies for $10, even though I knew I didn't need that many cookies lol! They were still warm when I got home 15 minutes later. I started with the sugar cookie which was so soft and yummy. I topped it with some ice cream of course. I also tried the snickerdoodle which had just the right amount of cinnamon-sugar! If you like hard cookies this is not the cookie store for you. I LOVE how the cookies are soft. Even after 24 hours the remaining cookies are still soft. Previously, you'd get a text with a number to call to get them at the back door and go. Now you gotta stand there and watch people taste testing ice cream while you know you could just tell them your name and get your stuff in 12 seconds. So stupid. They always have a long line too, so unless you want to wait 15-45 minutes for some cookies, I'd suggest Crumbl that has a much better pickup process! read more

I was so excited ot stay a hotel that happen to have an Insomnia Cookies in the connecting parking lot. I had never had Insomnia but heard good things and the fact that they had vegan cookies, was the main reason I splurged to buy these kinda pricey cookies. I ordered online for delivery to the hotel lobby (it as like 9:30pm) since I was hanging out with a huge group after a hockey game. It took longer than anticipated to get from the storefront to my hotel which was literally .3 miles away! The driver was nice enough but my husband handed me the box and it felt ice cold (like it was on a slab of ice kinda cold). The cookies were far from warm! Isnt that what I was paying for? Just one whiff of Insomnia Cookies takes me back to my days living in NYC and visiting Philly when we'd indulge in late night cookie runs at these tiny shops! Over the years I've tried nearly all of them. And now, this little cookie shop has come to Jax as of the beginning of September. Having been open less than a week when I visited, the store was still trying to hire a manager and gain its footing. To try them out, I ordered my standard three cookies - snickerdoodle, double chocolate mint, and oatmeal raisin - in individual bags so the flavors didn't merge. Typically they are hot, pulled straight out of the oven or warmer. As one who doesn't love hot cookies, donuts, or most desserts, I usually let mine cool off before digging in. But these were lukewarm from the get-go so they probably weren't fresh. I must admit, I was a little disappointed. The cookie quality wasn't on par with what I'm used to. The double chocolate mint cookie just fell apart when I bit into it and the oatmeal raisin cookie was hard. In addition to the cookies, the store also had their standard ice cream counter, water, and milk. Know that if you order an ice cream sandwich, the whole thing will be a mess. I tried once and the hot cookies caused the ice cream to rapidly melt and drip everywhere. Anyway, this small storefront shop is hard to find but looking for it will hopefully be worth it. In time let's hope that these cookies will be just as good - if not better - than the quality ones I've come to love up north. 3.5 stars read more

I always like to see what's new around here in Jacksonville after living in the area of almost 14 years. This is a very small place located between Wild Wings and the Tinseltown movie theater. Well, it was just okay to me. It reminded me of plain sugar cookies I could have made at home (maybe it's just my tastebuds?). I know everyplace is different and I respect that. It was warm and soft at least. I was looking for that cinnamon-sugary buttery taste. White chocolate macadamia is the best one out of the bunch. It has bits of coconut to give it some flavor! If you love coconut, definitely give this a try. Oatmeal raisin and chocolate chunk are both good. You can't go wrong with traditional classics. Great with a cold glass of milk at night before bedtime! Caramel apple is a new item, not on the menu. Gave it a try. Reminds me of an apple pie. Chewy and very good!
