Yes, I came back for the second time in one week. Yes, I do feel guilty eating at the same buffet for two days in the same week, but in my defense I like Great American better than Golden Corral located down the street by I-66. Now, about the food, which is why we are here. After 4pm the price goes up because some new food items are added, like steak, ribs, and roast beef. I didn't try the steak or the bbq ribs, but I did try their sliced roast beef. I don't have a beef with their roast beef. It was perfectly cooked, was juicy, and had a great beef taste. I also had their fried fish and their large fried shrimp. They were both very good. Also, great news for soft ice cream users, their ice cream machine is working. They got rid of their "Out of Order" McDonalds ice cream machine and now have an "In Working Order" Great American Buffet ice cream machine. That was great news for me. Now I was able to put something over my bowl of peach cobbler. Their ice cream is not too sweet or taste grainy, but is smooth and creamy. They do have a large crowd on Friday, after 4pm, and they have enough staff to handle their crowd. Our service was excellent and when we needed extra water our waitress would bring us new glasses of iced water. Empty plates were promptly removed from our table. We were on the main "in and out" walkway for their wait staff, so our table location may have been more about our location than our waitress attention to our needs. We experienced and enjoyable meal with a tremendous selection of under the heat lamp food and the food was promptly replenished as needed. This is the best buffet I have found in the Manassas area. You should give it a try or two.

Okay so the first time I came here with my bf they were closing. It was like 8pm. Total bummer because we were hungry as hell. Anyways, a few weeks ago we went back with his mom for lunch. This place is a typical buffet in the sense that it is cheap cute if meat and under seasoned food. Most of the food was deep fried and what wasn't was in a gravy or sauce. Nothing was good enough for seconds but there were enough options that even if you don't like it you can eat more food and eventually you'll get full. The desserts were absolute trash and the service was slow. We had to keep asking for refills and to clear the table. I have no intention on coming back but if you are low on funds or need to feed a crowd or kids for the low low, you can come here. It's like tv dinner food.

I'm not really big on buffets but I like Great American. Their food is pretty flavorful and typically is warm/hot. My favorite food that they offer is their fried chicken but it's hard to get the type that you want because everyone comes to grab it! It's a smaller space but they have good options.

$7.99 for an adult lunch buffet which isn't too bad. This is American as you can get, from hot dogs, burgers, grilled and fried chicken, fries, onion rings, salad bar, dessert bar, mashed potatoes, tacos, soups, to pizza. Nothing exciting and nothing u can't make better at home. Some of the food are salty and some are flavorless. This place reminds me of western sizzlers back in the days. This place doesn't have a lot of food. You got two hot station, a salad bar, and a station to get hot ham and other things like soup. Overall I think it's ok.

One…read morething I wasn't a fan of was the graffiti on the doors and walls - It just feels like vandalism that the owners didn't care to clean up! Not sure if this is part of the chain's aesthetic, and if it's like this at every location or not... It was even in the bathroom, and clearly people took it too far, because next to the only urinal was a giant "F*** YOU", and it was crossed out by one big line, and not at all removed or attempted to be removed. To me it just seems too chaotic and encourages deviant behavior... This is not somewhere that I would bring my kids or family members, because of stuff like that. The food was ready when I got there, but I still had to stand around for a few minutes before someone finally came along and handed my order to me. I got the Catfish Basket with onion rings. It was about $16. I took the meal home and surprisingly the food was still piping hot when I sat down to eat it. The fish was excellent. There is the comment being made that the food is 'greasy', but I mean, it's fish - and it's fried... what do you expect? ...So, yes, the food was greasy, but that's part of the joy to it. If you want to eat healthy, go to Wegmans or Kroger. The fish was excellent. The breading was crunchy. The fish was soft and tender. No odor. Great seasoning - not too much, not too little. Not spicy at all (trust me, I'd be the first to tell you!) The onion rings were a bit on the less crispy side, not quite soggy, but still delicious none the less. The inner breading was just a bit spongy. They aren't like Outback's fried to a crisp onion rings/petals. The bag contained two moist towelettes and a pair of food grade disposable gloves, for those who indulge in the messiest of foods from here - not for simple fish. Also, when at the counter they wanted to know if I wanted any sauces. I did not, but I appreciated the gesture. I was happy with my service here and with the food overall. The restaurants appeal and decor gets a 5/10, because while the decor was nice and the wood facade of the furniture and structure were great, they were caked in a myriad of profanity and anarchy, as mentioned before about the graffiti-like markings. The food gets a 9/10, while it did have minor issues, it was overall an amazing lunch! The staff gets a 9.5/10 as well - While I was acknowledge once by a passing staff member running food to a table, I still had to wait a little while to be serviced, at the busiest time of day. I appreciate their time and efforts.

I had no idea that they offered a small bowl of complementary ceviche, which is actually really good. Like, so good, that I'm going to have to go back just to get that. The queso was also good. It was the standard white queso that I commonly associate with the Midwest because for the longest I couldn't get it on the East Coast, but it's not queso fundido. They offer Coke from a fountain, which is a huge plus. And the salsa was really good. The chips and salsa were free, so they absolutely get bonus points for that. It was a random Saturday evening when I came in, and they were setting up for what looked like live music and a fun night. The service was really good and parking was easy since it's in a plaza. I had the Cedar Plank Salmon, which was moist and well complimented by the red pepper coulis. My wife ordered the Cilantro Lime Roasted Grouper. The lime from the compound butter was fantastic, though if I were to criticize there was too much jasmine rice. The carrots were also amazing. We started with the excellent clam chowder. It's a little thinner than a traditional New England chowder, but much more flavorful. We saved room for dessert and loved the key lime pie. We had our eyes on the pumpkin bread pudding, but they had unfortunately run out (maybe next time!). A huge shoutout to our bartender, Jesica. She whipped up an Old Fashioned based specifically on my flavor profile requests, and it was spot on. She made excellent recommendations throughout our meal, as well. Service at the bar was really fantastic. The only downside to the evening was our seating; we were at the bar right by the door. It got a little drafty and we caught some cigarette smoke whenever the door opened. Not a dealbreaker, but we'll definitely look to sit further inside next time. We will be back!"

The presentation was good with broccoli and mashed potatoes, but when I broke open one of the crab cakes I discovered it was mostly filler(some kind of meal material)and very little crab meat my conclusion to this is they need a better recipe, one that also includes more crab meat, and less filler..Hushpuppies were delicious, broccoli was almost unedible because it was served as a single stock, about 6 inches long that was pretty much uncooked and hard as a rock..Service was good,(by the way, I asked our waitress how the crabcakes were and she said they were great, which leads me to believe, she has never tried them, or she likes round balls of mush)... ambience was that of a neighborhood bar, and not much else. We will probably scratch C J Finz off our Wednesday evening dinner list. I would suggest management wander over to Maryland and check out the crabcake preparation there.

We loved that they were flying the Sri Lankan and US flags out front, it helped us find it in the strip mall. :) We wanted to try a few of my favorites -- string hoppers, hoppers, chicken kotthu, chicken curry and masala vadai (lentil fritter appetizer). None of it disappointed! My husband and daughter both loved the masala vadai, hoppers and chicken curry. We all enjoyed the real Sri Lankan drinks they had -- Dilmah brand! -- and sodas. It'd be great to add beer to the menu, my guess is they're waiting on the ABC license (there appears to be a bar ready to be stocked!). If you've never had Sri Lankan before, the staff is friendly and willing to field questions and give recommendations. It's always a little hard to describe Sri Lankan food -- but after growing up in Southeast Asia and spending time in India, I describe it as the missing link between the two -- which geographically makes sense! More coconut than Indian, and different spice combos than Indonesian/Thai. It's incredible unique and super tasty! Their menu also has pretty lengthy descriptions, which help you decide. I also loved the Sri Lankan pride on display -- cards on the table with different explanations of locations, etc; placemats with photos of its amazing nature and a TV playing scenes of the greatest hits of Sri Lankan tourism.

There used to be a similarly named Sri Lankan restaurant in DC proper, but since it closed I don't know where else you'd go for this cuisine. The cuisine is definitely distinctive; it is different than any Indian restaurant you'd try. Notably, it is not as vegetarian-friendly as a lot of Indian places, but there were still interesting things to try. I sampled a dish of stir-fried string hoppers (ultra-thin rice noodles) with shredded vegetables to match. It came with a mouthwatering spice mix and although I ordered it unsure if I would finish it, I did, aided by an accompanying chili paste. A vegetable soup was likewise tasty, and among their appetizer selections was a set of fantastic lentil fritters, which should be tried. The place could have been cleaner, and notably this cuisine is brightly colored and will stain a white table cloth pretty easily. I hope they do well and expand their menu offerings, and I was happy to have tried it.
