Please stay away from this place!!!! The food was mediocre, everything was cold and honestly didn't taste that good. Now let's get into the service because if I could give it 0 stars I would but unfortunately I have to settle for just 1. Our server was yelling at us the entire time and speaking in a very rude tone, I understand english may not be many of the server's first language but you could just tell she did not want us there. This is a BUFFET, meaning you have to get up and serve your own food and bring it back to your table, the only thing our server did was bring us our soda and come back to refill it once. She was trying to rush us out and we had been sitting eating there for less than an hour and when she noticed we stopped she immediately came over and asked us how we wanted to split the bill. I consider myself a generous tipper as I always tip based on service and even if service isnt the greatest I would leave a tip. After we payed and she came back with our 3 receipts (we split it 3 ways) she was standing infront of me staring waiting for me to right down what I was going to tip and I did not appreciate feeling rushed especially because the service was so bad I honestly wasnt going to leave anything. My friends decided to be generous and leave $2 in cash and the lady came over yelling saying that we have to tip at least $5 and she kept repeating the same thing, mind you, tipping is NOT mandatory, sure it is the right thing to do but if you were treated the way we were you wouldnt have tipped either. My friends and I are latino and she began yelling at us "propina propina" which is "tip" in spanish as if we werent speaking perfect english to her the entire time... She then came over to my side of the table and began yelling at me because I hadn't written down anything on the check yet and I got up and left because she was disrespecting us and yelling at us. My friends followed after and the server began yelling at us in her native language and you could hear her screams across the entire restaurant. We then came back inside and attempted to speak to the manager to complain about how the lady treated us and the lady at the front desk was just smiling laughing like something was funny as if she wasnt taking our complaints seriously. This is a joke of a restaurant and an embarrassment to all buffets. Stay away from this please, literally any other restaurant would've a better choice.

Do not come here! Although the lunch buffet price was $15/person, the options were limited, the food was cold, and the seafood was not fresh. I had a very difficult time finding things to eat, but will say the fried shrimp was decent. When I go to buffets, I try to stick to seafood and sushi, but they only had sushi options and shrimp. Their shrimp was cooked but only slightly, and after peeling looked like it would give you food poisoning. The sushi was drowning in sauce. The service was ok. While eating, our table was given the check, even when there weren't many customers, it felt like they wanted to push us out quick. One highlight was that the hostess was very kind to take pictures of us on their wall and tried her best to get good pictures for us. Another highlight was that the sushi chef was singing and humming along to the music, and it lighten my mood! The ambience was shabby with dimmed yellow lights, and the floor was slippery. Overall, I was looking for a buffet, and although I wasn't looking for a 5 star spot, this one I would give 0/5 if I could. I will not be coming back.

December 2024 They upgraded their food options and quality. Sushi section is bad on the day of our visit but the hot bars quality is not bad at all.

We chose a couple of dim sum items and then ordered the rest off the menu. Cart food: shrimp dumplings were amazing, using whole shrimp in the dumpling, pork dumpling was hot and good. My favorite is the red roast pork. We order a couple platters and they are always demolished. The chow fun was ok, thought the noodles were a bit too mushy. The rest of the dishes were good. Everyone enjoyed all the food. We needed many takeout containers. Service was very good. They have pitchers of water that were always refilled. We have lots of water drinkers in our group. Overall, everything was great and I think this is a really reliable spot for good dim sum!

One of the highlights of the night was meeting the owner, Jason. We bonded over our shared Cantonese backgrounds and even got to meet his aunt, who was visiting from California and happened to be sitting next to us. It made the whole experience feel incredibly welcoming and personal. We ordered the Dynamite Roll, which was a solid choice with 8 generous pieces, and the Szechuan spicy wontons, which were juicy with just the right amount of heat. If you visit, definitely grab a seat at the bar. The bartenders are friendly, engaging, and really add to the experience. We were treated to a complimentary shot of Jäger with Jason and even got to sample their Lychee Pearl cocktail because the bartender had made an extra. The cocktails really stood out. Instead of masking everything with sugary juices, they use extracts and creative techniques to build balanced drinks that complement the flavors beautifully. Jason also mentioned that their cocktail specials change every month, so we already told him we'll be back regularly to see what new creations he comes up with.

This place has a robust take-out business (DoorDash drivers running in and out). It's great for foodies, but also a noisy place (not ideal for a first date). Free parking is easy in a strip mall lot in downtown Vienna between the CVS and Giant. On the plus side, it has authentic Szechuan-style dishes, including dried cauliflower (savory blend of flavors with a hint of peppercorn), the baby bok choy with tofu skins (to enjoy and refresh the palate), Lazi Chicken (fried chicken bits with peppercorn), and stir-fry green beans. My sons devoured the Lazi Chicken dish and wished that it had more chicken chunks. Small bowls of white rice are included. They also have American-style Chinese food (e.g., kung-pao chicken) but we only ordered a small number of Szechuan-style dishes. On the minus side, it's a tiny space with a limited number of tables (most accommodate up to 4 people). Noise level is high, but maybe that was because it was Saturday night. Overall, we'll continue to order takeout from this place! But we may visit again during off-peak hours.

For example, the Panfried Pork Bun used to be my favorite item here but they've changed the recipe significantly. The pork filling used to be a lot larger and juicier...but now when you break open the bun, the filling is so small that half of the bun doesn't even have any meat. 80% of the bun is just dough and it's not fried well and quite greasy. Everything overall was way too greasy, including the crueller and the dry noodles were swimming in oil. I did like the texture of the noodles, but unfortunately it was overshadowed by the oiliness of the broth it was sitting in. It's really sad to see this place fall short since it opened a couple years ago. I'm hoping that they can improve their quality of food as it's really gone downhill since opening.

Satisfies the Chinese food cravings for sure. Warm & welcoming atmosphere...not so much. I don't want to fault one of my go-to Chinese food joints because the economy sucks. Everyone & everything has been affected during these chaotic & unreliable times. Small biz restaurants gotta save where they can just like everyone else to stay alive. I look forward to the day when this restaurant can go back to good-sized portions with a satisfying amount of meat & vegetables rather than having to really scale down. Been coming here for years and it's still in the rotation despite the downgrade in value currently. Being able to count the number of meat pieces on one hand and the number of veggies on the other is disheartening. A container filled with steamed rice & sauce instead of meat & veggies is disappointing and expensive. I've never found Wong Kok to fall into the category of "greasy Chinese food." That's a definite plus. While the lunch specials are generally still an ok deal during this horrible economy, be prepared to spend and not receive quite the return you once were used to getting from your fav Chinese food joint. Even the fortune cookies have shrunk about 20% in size! Worth the drive? Yes, because the food has always been hot & fresh and tastes pretty good. The meat quality remains decent- not fatty, gristly, or just scraps. And, yes, because I want to keep my local Chinese food go-to in biz.

Places like this always have secret things you can do with the menu, but we just couldn't get to that conversation. So we were forced into ordering two giant helpings of the same dumpling. One was a basic pork one, I think, and the other was a soup dumpling. The regular dumplings were pretty good. Soft exteriors, plenty of filling within, very good.
