This was really a tough review! A voice inside me is telling me 3 stars! Another saying 2 ! No, just 1 ! Then my consciousness said to me COME ON!" LOL, this is a solid 4! And I listened to my consciousness and let me tell you why! ;) It's not like they disappointed me or scammed me! I know Northern VA, I know the buffet style scene, and I know the price, so nothing was a surprise!! In fact, they exceeded my very bad expectations ! It was a Friday, 3:30 pm , the dinner food was on and steaming hot fresh! Big variety! But not all of it was that good! Again! That was totally expected! If you want no disappointment at all, head to the hibachi section and make different plates! It was good! I didn't like the dessert section at all! I didn't like the service! We had plates piling like the leaning tower of Pisa, and nobody came to take the plates and make a space or refill the water. They have a hiring sign, so I hope they get that service issue fixed! I've been here several times already. This place is a go-to when you want a cheaper price and want quantity over quality. I'd recommend going on a weekend or for dinner for better food options. Food is also more fresh at those times. Otherwise you might get stale food and mushy seafood. They have a sushi and hibachi section along with their large selection of entrees. We wanted to have a variety of things for the group and decided to give the buffet a try. I'd say it's the standard, average Chinese/Asian buffet. Price was reasonable for lunch. Food seemed to be cycling through pretty quickly, so it was hot and pretty fresh. No particular standouts, a few items were a little bland. read more

Pleasantly surprised! We were looking for a go to spot and decided to try this place out. We were there fairly early (4-ish) so I worried that the food may have been sitting around after the lunch rush. I was wrong. The food was fresh and they were actively refilling dishes. If you've been to a Chinese buffet then you know exactly what you're getting. If you're expecting amazing, creative dishes then this isn't your place. But if you're looking for well prepared standard Chinese food fare then this is it. We plan on returning to see what differentiates the dinner menu but the lunch menu for the price is so worth it. Bonus, it was cleaner than you'd expect. No sticky tables and duct taped cushions made me question how good this would be (cause let's be honest, the more run down the restaurant the better the Chinese food tastes lol) but this one was really good and clean. read more

This place is beyond disappointing. The decor is your typical Chinese buffet. Nothing luxurious about it. Once I got my plate, I hoped for the best. The food is barely edible and was room temperature at best. Food safety standards here aren't a thing. Everything was greasy and barely tasted like what it was supposed to be. The sushi tasted off and not fresh. The hibachi was the only semi edible hot dish at this place. I am only giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 because the fresh fruit and dessert bars were alright. You can tell all the desserts come in frozen and are thawed before being put out. I was so excited to try this for the first time ever, as i found it on google when looking for any buffets for miles. the decor was very nice as you enter. plenty of dishes on the buffet, but as i looked closer, the dinner foods were dried up leftovers from lunch. i saw, in past youtube posts, that they had male blue crabs but when i arrived, they were all females which have very little meat and they did NOT offer crab crackers, but i happen to keep some in my truck. a lady next to me asked for crab crackers and they said they had none so she had to waste the arm and claw meat as she cant crack them. i offered her my crab crackers but she and her hubby were very worried about covid as they wore their mask right up until eating and i understand that. they had very small flimsy plastic forks and spoons but no knives to cut your food so you had to chomp at it or in my case, i asked for a real knife and got one. good thing, as i had to use that for the little cup of ice cream as you cant use the plastic spoon against super hard frozen ice cream. my fav dish was the Alfredo flavored noodles and i loved the soft music, vs the typical loud dance music that so many restaurants play. it is very dark in there, yet tons of lights on the ceiling, but super dark. sadly, for the first time ever in my 58 years, i picked up the wonderful oversized pork rib but it had a very bad smell and i dared to taste it and it was bad. had to waste the rib. the Hog fish was good, its steamed or baked maybe, but the fried fish, which i think was tilapia, was very dry and over fried. Waitresses are always pleasant, regularly filling drinks and collecting plates. The hibachi grill is quick and cooked right. The buffet is regularly filled by the staff. I don't recall the price but it is one price all day every day, and on par with what I would expect a buffet to cost. Not much going on with the inside. They had a water scene and 1-2 coin operated games in the lobby. Bathrooms and floor were not super clean, however, it is what I would expect for a buffet at that price point. This place is very inexpensive, especially at lunch time. Hearkens back to the golden age of chinese buffets I feel existed in the 1990s and early 200s when lunch was like $5.99 lol. Having said that, the food is not amazing. I tried what I thought was alfredo pasta (I know, why would I even select that?) but it turns out it was cooked pasta mixed with mayonnaise! There is a great selection of items available to choose from and the food is generally good. All good tables should be grouped together. Seafood on one table. Some of it is on the dessert table?!
