Nothing short of 5 STARS!!! The coffee is so amazing!! I tried their pour over coffee, cappuccino, and iced coffee and it was all so savory! The best coffee! Their pastries are all so delightful. However... this has one of the most welcoming, loving, kind atmospheres of any coffee shop. The lady who took my order was so kind and she made you feel right at home. Amazing coffee, matcha, and pastries. This is a great coffee shop to relax with some artfully created coffees. They make in house almond milk that is creamy and delicious. Let me start by saying, the coffee itself was actually pretty good and the staff were nice. That being said, it seemed very slow... there weren't clear lists of flavors or anything posted so you had to wait to get up to the counter to find out the options. They have a self-service "kiosk" / tablet, but it's right in front of the cashier... so as I was scrolling through to try to look at options... she was trying to take my order and ask me what I wanted (starting to try to narrow down options with questions... instead of offering the options or a moment to scroll through the menu). The "vibe" is more so the reason I don't really plan on going back. Probably loved by many; just not for me! read more

Walked 4 miles here to get here on vacation since it was the only place that carried matcha near me (LOL). It was well worth it!! Sometimes iced matchas aren't blended well and you get clumps of the powder but the Great Awakenkng did it perfectly! Also great atmosphere inside. We stopped at this coffee shop on a trip to Hyannis and it did not disappoint! The staff were extremely friendly - they provided recommendations and talked to us as they made our coffees. They have delicious coffee!! All combinations are available. Also had a very good bagel and cream cheese and yogurt and partner loved his apple pastry. Ambiance is most pleasant and relaxing with great decorations and color scheme. Service is very accommodating, cordial and friendly. Delicious coffee just off of the main shopping area. The staff was kind and welcoming and the shop was clean. Even more, the bathroom was so nice. It feels weird to include a portion of my review dedicated to the bathroom, but I've never been inside one that had a clean changing station, diapers for use, and pads for women to take. There was so much thought put into this shop and I would happily return. read more

Wonderful coffee, fresh pastries! The ambiance is so nice, you can tell that the owners put in a lot of thought and love. Small tables and bar style seating near the windows, a fireplace, book shelves, and many nice touches. Coffee selections are great, also pastries ( I had a danish 1 day old at 50% off, and it was delicious). Yogurts, granola, teas are offered as well. Very welcoming place and super attentive staff. We were visiting our daughter on Cape Cod and decided to visit Great Awakening Coffee House. The coffee house is relatively new and very nicely decorated with wonderful, warm, and friendly atmosphere. The coffee was amongst the best that we have had so we decided to go back the next day having other coffees which were just as good. This time we combined the coffee with pastries which were as good as the coffee. This is now our favorite place for coffee on the Cape and we will definitely be back when we return to the Cape. read more
