This is my fave coffee shop on cape cod! I've only been a few times because they're far from me, but I'm obsessed with everything I've had from there. Their baked goods are top notch---clearly it was hard to just pick one. You'll love their breakfast sandwiches along with their lunch menu as well! They have such a wide range of offerings and they all exceed my expectations! They also have amazing drinks! I've tried Mey staples, seasonal offerings and even some of their teas! I have loved everything I have had! The inside is cozy and cute! It's always packed with regulars or people in town on vacation. Nirvana is my favorite local coffee shop for the cute vibes and vegan options! They always have a few types of delicious vegan cookies and a few vegan sandwiches (grilled cheeze, tofu breakfast panini, portobello panini, hummus veggie sandwich). I'm not a coffee drinker so I usually get some type of tea latte, which honestly are not always my favorite because they sometimes use tea bags instead of tea concentrate which is not strong enough to flavor a latte (for chai, for example). I recently got a pumpkin oat chai which was good though! The space is tiny so be prepared to get your food and drinks to go (although if you can snag a window seat or one of the armchairs those are primo spots!). Staff is always friendly + quick. Get the vegan cranberry oat cookie + pumpkin chai + portobello panini and enjoy yourself a lovely vegan meal :) read more

OMG! Their espresso is ALL that an espresso should be. But they don't sell those particular beans. Sell other beans and coffee but not the dreamy coffee they used in my iced coffee! Bummer. But needless to say, I'm still craving that coffee! We shared two sandwiches a roast beef with provolone and a chicken salad on cranberry walnut bread. The fillings in both sandwiches were great. The problem was the bread was dry. The place is really small so they pre-make sandwiches that you can pick out of the case. Nice filling dry bread. We shared the coffee cake of the day. Oh my! Moist and buttery. This particular day was a pineapple coconut. Fantastic! Definitely recommend and can't wait to come back! (just avoid rush-hour because the place is small and cramped, and while it's cold, you don't want to sit outside... and avoid summertime when the tourist are in town!) read more

If I lived here, this would be my go-to coffee spot. Vegan options, wide range of curated drinks and cozy atmosphere in a beautiful quaint beach side town. We ordered the rose cardamom chai, lavender menace and chaga chai. I absolutely loved the flavor of both chais, not too sweet and aromatic. The lavender menace has a strong coffee flavor with subtle notes of lavender. We also tried 2 sandwiches which were okay but otherwise I will be returning for the drinks. I loved the atmosphere and the service was fast too. They also have fun merch for sale that I almost bought to commemorate the visit. Lovely spot! read more

Came here on the way out of the cape and am so grateful that we found this spot. There was a line, but it moved relatively fast as different employees were helping out different customers. There were fall options that they offered but I didn't know until we were about to pay. We ordered a horchata latte and a lavender + honey chai latte, both hot and large. I can proudly say that this was some of the best coffee we've had on the east coast -- and that's saying something as I've lived in all 3 states of the tri-state and currently live in the DMV (DC MD VA) area. The horchata latte had a nice roasted taste to it, and it wasn't too sweet -- more cinnamon-y. The lavender honey chai was sweet, almost like a bubble tea/boba if you've tried one before but of course without the tapioca balls. The drinks we got complemented each other and kept us going as we drove back down for 8 hours in Hurricane Lee's remnants (which was coastal flooding, flash flood warnings, intermittent torrential downpour and an i95 closure in CT... I digress) Had we had more time, we would've sat in their lounge area-- good amount of seating and very cozy and welcoming. Note: there is a two hour sit time limit to accommodate other guests as well. Highly recommend Nirvana if you're on the Cape and passing by / nearby! read more

Not too sweet like you find at Starbucks. You can actually taste the espresso. There are also lots of flavor combos and interesting specials for coffee and tea drinks. The prosciutto pesto egg sandwich is highly recommended. The panini press leaves leaves the perfectly crisp on the outside and melty Swiss cheese on the inside. The lemon poppy muffin and blueberry scone were also excellent - soft, crumbly, and fresh. I also saw they had a vegan tofu option as a special. There is limited seating inside but lots of shaded outdoor seating on benches. There appears to be guest wifi as well though I didn't get a chance to work in there. Street parking only. read more

The reviews brought me in, but nothing will bring me back. Coffee was below average. Had nearly no flavor. Tons of flavor syrups to add, which would mask the tasteless coffee. If the flavor syrup is your thing then maybe you'd like it. Basically a Mary Lou's with less pink. Ham and cheese croissant was average. Got a donut too, but by the time I got to a replacement coffee location I just tossed it. Folks working were nice and lifted this from 2 star. This coffee shop came up as a popular hit for coffee shops in the Hyannis area. Upon arrival we discovered/were affirmed that it was clearly popular because the line was out the door. The line moved relatively quickly. You pick up whichever breakfast sandwich you would like or regular sandwich, juice, fish plate and or choose your choice of bagel,scone, muffin, danish etc from the display. The set up of the kitchen and where you pick up your food could be better so that the flow of the people waiting for their orders, picking up and/or exiting aren't all on top of each other. Their crew was all on top of each other too so it made the ordering process really intense and unnecessarily stressful. When our food came out it was piece meal which was fine but annoying especially given how many people were standing waiting. My scone was also forgotten so I had to go back up at the end of it all. Ok... so now the coffee and food... the coffee and iced coffee were 3/5 - pretty good but nothing special. The scone of the day was fine but I wouldn't get it again- it was raspberry flavoured but really weren't many raspberries except for the ones on the outside. Then the outside was covered in sugar. The thing that would make me come back and made the trip worth it was the fig and goat's cheese breakfast sandwich. I added a bit of hot sauce to contrast the fig jelly and really liked that. My friend got the plain egg, cheese, bacon breakfast sandwich and didn't really like it because it was clearly was old. Was really looking forward to this place because the reviews are so great. Clearly I'm disappointed to have had this experience but I think this place it just over hyped because it is a "cool" venue. I gave an extra star for all the gluten free options. This is sadly not the first time I've bought a really bad cup of coffee here. This used to be one of my top go-to.s but no more. When they handed me the cup I could tell it wasn't hot. They offered to brew a new pot which would take 10 minutes so I declined. My question is: why don't you just keep a fresh pot going? It was a busy Sunday crowd. When I poured it out at home, I noticed it was super thin and watery. Dark roast? For the price, not again. It's a shame and as I said not the first time. There's other places to go. read more

Wow! What a spectacular little coffee shop. I have tried a lot of the local Cape coffee spots over the years and this one kept popping up. The line can seem intimidating but honestly it moved so fast. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and quick. I got a Mayan Mocha and it was perfect - most times when you get a mocha it's overly sweet and I need to ask for less sugar or pumps - not this one. The bold chocolate flavor was really well balanced with the coffee. Absolutely delicious. Ended up going back several times and was gifted a sweatshirt and a reusable cup - both great quality! The quaint little town of Barnstable in Cape Cod has the quaintest little coffee shop called Nirvana on the Main Street. It looks like it was a home at one point in history. So cute. They have fantastic coffee, with at least three staff serving behind the counter. A great selection of sandwiches, yoghurts and scones etc to go or sit in the little time living room. Parking is street only as far as I could see. I would imagine at the height of tourist season parking is tight on the street along with the lines for service. I know it gets real busy here because the coffee ambience and service are top notch. So glad I found you Nirvana. read more

I tried variety of morning take-outs like chai latte, pistachio & lavender latte as some reviewers recommended. But if you are like me, not a coffee drinker, remember to ask for de-caf if they offer it. I forgot to remind my family to get de-caf latte for me that whenever I get a beverage, I have to diluted with water to reduce the caffeine. I don't taste lavender as caffeine is the dominating taste. Had chocolate croissant, poppyseed muffin (a bit dry), rectangle shape spinach croissant is solid. A popular spot. What a cute find! While visiting the Cape today we decided to stop by the cutest coffee shop. While they did have a line outside it moved very quickly and we felt like we were still in and out within minutes. They had a large selection of hot and cold coffee drinks and even more flavors that you could mix and match. I decided to go with the Salted Caramel Cold Brew with Almond Milk. It was sweet without being over done and very flavorful. I also had a donut which was also super tasty. If I was ever going the cape again it would be a no brainer to stop and get coffee from here again. One of the only proper coffee shops in the area. Attracts a good mix of locals who come here regularly to chat and,l tourists stopping by while in area. I stopped by almost every day to get coffee, breakfast and use wifi do some work. Wifi was strong and the high top by window and tables were comfortable. I left after finishing my food and coffee so not sure how they would feel if people lingered. Every coffee type I had was good. The mocha did not have much chocolate taste but that is minor quibble. The breakfast sandwich could have been warmer. Liked the various baked items though bagel was not cut well as uneven which meant got a bit burned where was higher. Service was friendly and efficient. Only issue I had was got cream cheese instead of butter which was quickly fixed. Have a variety of items included vast selection of bakery.
