This donut spot comes really highly rated on the Cape, and I really, really wanted to try it, so I made it my mission to grab some before we headed back. Honestly, the donuts were just meh. I wouldn't waste your time or your money going out of your way for them. They're not bad donuts--they're just nothing crazy. Some of them were pretty dry, and the ones that weren't were just okay. My favorite by far was the honey glazed, but even that was very basic and simple. We also ordered an everything bagel, which was actually very good, and the coffee was just okay. First time here and what a selection!! All huge handcut doughnuts and different flavors and type of caffeinated goodness!! Cold foam is seemingly made fresh because it was some of the best I ever had! I was welcomed with big smiles and had time to think about all the choices presented. Atmosphere is bright friendly and spacious more than enough space to sit and eat. The doughnuts were huge and had all the flavor! My son said it was I his favorite doughnut ever and the kid is an absolute doughnut lover! The egg sandwiches are cooked fresh and whether it's on a brioche roll or a bagel they are equally amazing. The donuts were awesome; there were many options, and they kept coming with fresh donuts from the kitchen. The look is not the best because it's hand-cut donuts. But it's delicious. The only complaint is that they are just piling up my frosted donuts next to each other, so they stick to each other, making it look worse than it is. We didn't try the coffee, but I saw alot of people had them. Cinnamon rolls are huge. It's as big as my palm, and apple fritters are ok. Overall, I will come back for donuts. If you want a bigger variety of donuts to choose from, I suggest getting there earlier. We went one day at 7:45 AM and there were a lot more options than when we went another day at 9:30 AM. Great donut, breakfast sandwich and coffee shop in Yarmouth. Excellent donuts, had the sour cream which was excellent, crunchy and soft inside. The honey dipped was soft with kinda crunchy icing on the outside. The scrambled egg and cheese on an everything bagel was huge. They put the cheddar cheese inside the folded egg and not on the bagel, it makes the cheese explode in the sandwich. Great modern atmosphere with wood and white colors, bright. I have been to Hole in One more than once and each time the flow of people is always a bottleneck and better methods to move people in and out could be implemented at all stores, such as online ordering and pick up. As far as donut quality the product is above average but consistency is not. A raspberry jelly donut took several bites to get to any jelly. The stores are very clean and present well. My benchmark for donuts is Kanes donuts and for pure value there is no comparison. Hole in One is as expensive and the donut quality is not on the same par. I will say I have not seen anything better on the Cape so far but off Cape there are many very strong competitors. read more

I used to love this place. My favorite donut was the jelly stick or the log, whichever was available. I can honestly say that Market Basket has better donuts at this point. The jelly that used to be prolific on these donuts is now a small stream in the middle of a lot of donut dough. I actually need to add raspberry jelly as I eat it because it's so dry. read more

We stopped in here for a couple of donuts during our trip to the cape. The donuts were good. I thought I was getting weird vibes from the lady behind the counter when the card machine does the "tip" section and I selected no tip-- I felt like I was getting the stare down but then said well maybe it's just me feeling that way, because I honestly hate the excessive tipping culture. If we are at a restaurant or I order some fancy homemade coffee (I didn't..), then I will absolutely tip. I'm not tipping for spending $12 on a soda and 3 donuts. Anyways, the only reason im mentioning this is because when we left, my husband said "She definitely rolled her eyes when you selected no tip"... and I instantly said WOW i knew it! Even though I wasn't looking at her, i knew that was what was happening. Which is fine... she can roll her eyes if she wants. You don't deserve a tip for putting 3 donuts in a bag and ringing me up, i'm sorry-- i will die on this hill. But more importantly, you don't deserve one for rolling your eyes about it. Do we tip our mechanics? Nurses? Stop & Shop cashier?.. why does everyone think they deserve a tip for doing the bare minimum at a hourly wage job? She had dreadlocks if you happen to encounter her. Donuts are very good, and bagel and cream cheese enjoyable as well. That said, the service and organization are severely lacking. The lines long and unruly. You cant see what they have for donut and pastry selection until you get to the register (there are signs with the types of bagels and coffee, but not the donuts). And the flow for ordering, pick up, and process is all chaotic and disorganized. Can't imagine what it's going to be like during peak season. They should definitely relook at the process and layout before then! read more

My first time at Hole In One. I guess they have only been open in Yarmouth for about three weeks. The Apple Fritters were amazing. Didn't try any coffee, tea or kombucha. But am dying to try red velvet cupcakes, bagels and many other items. A great location with what appears to be a great variety of items to grab before a trip to the beach. They were very busy. A line wrapped through the lobby. The staff handled it very well. I am delighted that we have this location available to us.
