As a southerner, my biscuit standards are high and I can say that Hey Joe and Jam know how to make a proper biscuit. It is the perfect density, crumble, and moisture. Oh and the jams that go with it are outrageously good. Get the Aretha so you can sample them all. The pepper jelly is outstanding. We did manage to get the last biscuit so come early because they do run out. The rest of the pastries looked good but we didn't get a chance to try them. They even put jam in their coffee to truly live up to their name. The iced jam coffee with blueberry jam is a must. Their ice matches also look delicious. Loved the vibes of the place. They definitely nail the 3rd place community atmosphere with lots of fun decor that compliments the live music stage they have set up. They even have two small rooms for groups to gather. I was impressed by the flavor of the biscuit, so make sure to get one of those. - my husband got the pop tart and we enjoyed it! Cons - we arrived at 10am on a weekday in August and many things were sold out - lattes were okay. I had a specialty blueberry one and it seemed like it had blueberry jam with bits of blueberries in it. Seating options for small and large group inside ranging from tables, couches and stools. One table of four outside. Parking lot has a good amount of spots but they were almost all taken and it wasn't packed inside. read more

Hey Joe and Jam, a new coffee shop in Chatham, is at the forefront of a high quality coffee shop Revolution near the Cape's Elbow. Perhaps no Coffee Shop in the Northeast, has ever created, such amazing homemade biscuits, and served them with their own homemade jam, and salted high end butter cubes. In my 30 plus years of drinking coffee, I can't recall ever being more amazed, at a coffee shop's cool, eclectic, and musically-themed decor, than I was at Hey Joe and Jam. I gravitate toward places with home-baked treats, chill energy, and humans who know how to share space well. My first visit to Hey Joe was genuinely enjoyable. It's the kind of spot that made me think, "If I owned a coffee shop, this is exactly what it would feel like." The staff were friendly, and there's plenty of seating including quieter side rooms perfect for conversation or focused work. The coffee is solid. No decaf espresso, which is a bummer, and the dry cappuccino wasn't quite dry, but still good. The biscuit was great: gorgeous, buttery exterior, though a bit soft inside. The jam paired nicely, too. I loved the soft music and the overall inviting atmosphere. There's no Wi-Fi, but my hotspot covered me just fine. Overall, a warm, charming place I'd happily return to. read more

Literally downloaded Yelp for just this. Went here on vacation with my family, we obviously went at a busy time which was no problem. But people were pushing past us constantly coming in and out of the side door where the line was, although there was a clear exit and entrance door on the other side. Individuals just preferred to come in and out of the side door where the long line was. I think this should not have been allowed, it was annoying and inconvenient, especially for us who has never been there trying to read the menu. Also there are ZERO prices listed on the menu. We got 4 coffees and pasties and it came to $70. We ended up sitting in the car for 10 minutes in the parking lot trying to figure out how that made sense. Coffee was average normal coffee, burritos ($14) were so small. Waste of money and overwhelming day to start the day. read more

Great coffee and food/baked goods! Staff is very welcoming. Inside is scattered with fun board games, puzzles, cards, and type writers. Inside is spacious with lots of cozy seating. I'm a local and have been here several times, both on and off season. The vibes are cool but they are sold out of food all the time. I've been here on both weekends as well as quiet weekdays and the pastry shelf is always low stocked and multiple breakfast sandwiches are always sold out. This isn't an issue I've ever seen at other local coffee shops and it's disappointing as I'm arriving earlier in the day; certainly before it would be expected for ALL of the egg options to be sold out. As I said this issue has happened every single time I have tried Hey Joe and Jam. The service is nice as is the ambiance but the food issue is really nuts. read more

we had 1 biscuit with jam flight and 1 biscuit with cheese egg and sausage with 1 medium coffee the biscuit with jam just a cold stale clump of dough the other biscuit was so hard we couldn't cut it with the plastic cutlery it was gross not edible ,the price $27.01 OUTRAGEOUS ! No prices listed anywhere now I know why. I told the manager, her answer " I don't know how to run a business " I didn't want money back I just wanted to think that if I came back it would be better.
