Stayed at grand cedar for one night. Check in took less than 5 minutes z. The room the cleanest room I ever seen in a long time. Kudos to your housekeeping staff. I like the fact that you can open the windows a little bit for some fresh air. Bed was very comfortable and I got a really good night of sleep. There is also a second sink and mirror just outside of the bathroom.

I rented a room for my son's 21st birthday he wanted to spend the night and gamble The hotel was an absolute letdown. It says that they have a pool and a spa which that particular hotel does not when we asked the front desk They told us that we could try to go to the grand Peacock and see if we could get in that was their answer and also that people only rent this hotel to play bingo but if you look it up, it says that they have a pool and a spa also in the morning, my son got up He went downstairs. He asked if there was breakfast and one of the workers told him there's a Dunkin' Donuts down the hall so all the money I paid for that one night was just to sleep they shouldn't call themselves a resort You need to have required things to call yourself a resort and they have nothing but a waterfall

I haven't stayed at this Tower while at Foxwoods but I have ventured into the building while going to the arcade. This is to me the oldest of the Foxwoods buildings. I love the Native American art that's displayed in the lobby and on the walls throughout. Gives history to the building.

The room, went on the Spartan Plan.

Checked in to Great Cedar Hotel and the front desk lady was so nice I duked her a five spot. "Here's your card key." "And here is a fiver." "Why thanks!" And off to the room I went. When I got off the elevator a nice looking couple offered me a Chesterfield unfiltered. Of course I obliged.

    Clean your vents.

I normally don't do this and after reading these reviews I wanted to cancel my recent reservation so bad. Are the reviews true...yes. Do I wish I would've cancelled my reservation...yes. Foxwoods, what happened? The room was filthy, and outdated. Non smoking room reeked like cigarettes, spent the night rubbing my eyes and itching my skin from the amount of dust particles floating around my room. The fox tower was closed, a handful of games were out of order, broken glass bottles and beer spilt all over the elevator. Have stayed several times in this past...this time around was an extremely different experience. For the price you pay, you'd expect a lot more. Not sure if we'd come back, would rather stay at Mohegan.

Upon check in, there was feces in the toilet - and the sink was filthy. We then found penis shaped glitter on the floor. The hotel only offered to comp our $25 daily resort fee (which is ridiculous to charge right now anyway as COVID rules it's closed). We couldn't check out as they suggested because we'd been drinking. The blankets are barely more than two sheets together. There are holes in the curtains. The furniture is worn out (and old would be an understatement.) There's build up on high touch areas(meaning not only is special care not being taken but they haven't been cleaned in a long time). The sprinklers are so covered in dust we couldn't be sure it was a sprinkler. The walls are so thin, you can hear everything your neighbors are doing - last night was angry karaoke time well through midnight? Now (9am) the cleaning crew is yelling to each other in the hallways. I've never been so unsatisfied with lodgings in my life. Wow and someone just asked the cleaning crew to tone it down and I could hear them yell at him to check out if he didn't like it. We were supposed to stay for two nights - but after staying here one night we're leaving now. No one from the hotel offered to do anything acceptable. Reporting to the health department. So unacceptable. We've recently stayed at Grand Pequot and were super satisfied. This is the first hotel I've stayed at in my life that I felt uncomfortable showering in. I wouldn't stay here willingly for free. Totally stunned at the issues and the response.

There was two bottled waters , unless you are a Hilton Member , do not drink the water , you will be charged $3.50 per bottle ! They have a small restaurant , during check we got a ticket for a free appetizer with the purchase of a cocktail or mocktail. For breakfast they offered 10% off any breakfast menu item , otherwise breakfast was buffet style. When we were checking out, there was complementary coffee and tea in the lobby. I would stay at the Hilton again , this was the only off site hotel I seen. It's convenient and close to the Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos as well as Tanger outlets. Front desk staff was helpful.

It was so incredible to get off the road, get lost once, and find the right spot and the nice man tell me where to put my car. I never had to lug through the parking garage to find my car, the nice men brought it. Tip well, these vallets are incredible. The actual lobby was very clean, and has lots of space. Huge check in area, I would be scared to see it full. Listen to the people at the desk for elevator directions, I got on the wrong one and it was awful. Just so much longer.... The room was huge, and had many places to sit. The TV had a guide channel, if you enjoy finding something to watch. There is a locked door leading outside, which freaked me out until I figured out it was well locked and couldn't accidentally be opened. The bathroom is also huge, but very slippery if you're not careful. There is a mat with the towels and some grab bars on the tub so I suspect the slippery-ness is known. The toilet isn't a Pre-K reject, and actually appropriate for an average adult. (Probably not if you have joint issues...)

I'd like to highlight the first sentence in particular, if I may: "The Fox Tower offers a modern hotel experience." Modern, huh? It's funny to me because one of the first things we noticed after getting settled into our room was the TV. See, it was immovable - which in of itself isn't all that unusual. But it DOES immediately torpedo any hope of accessing something like, say....an HDMI port for guests to plug-in their iPad, laptop, or whatever to stream from. Speaking of streaming, it's totally impossible to do from these "modern" TVs. Because....they're not Smart TVs. Flat screens? Yes. WiFi ready? Not a chance in hell. Granted, my lament can be aptly filed under "First World Problems". But in 2026, ya gotta admit this is a pretty silly setback. It seems we also apparently got one of the few rooms with a non-functional desk lamp. That's assuming, of course, all the rooms don't suffer from this same issue. Not only were both outlets completely inoperable, the switch to turn on said lamp was missing. I guess the ostensible hole where the button USED to be should have been a warning sign, but....that's what I get for being slightly optimistic. I'd have swapped rooms if we were staying longer than a couple nights. Apart from those two anomalies, the room itself was fine. A bit overpriced due to the holiday weekend? Sure. But considering this IS a resort after all, I can just be grateful we're in Mashantucket and not Las Vegas. Now, for those unfamiliar with the Foxwoods lore, it's technically 3 hotels in one; two towers and a third dormitory known as "Great Cedar Hotel". This becomes apparent the minute you attempt to check into the wrong desk by accident like we did. So, bit of advice: whichever residence you book under, proceed to THAT respective lobby for check in. In hindsight, it seems so obvious. But at the time, we figured they were digitally interconnected. Based on that inventory, combined with the pricing options that populated from lowest to highest, we can safely assume The Fox Tower is the LEAST luxurious of the 3 contenders. That is to say, there are still aspects of luxury sprinkled throughout TFT. But the gaps become more noticeable as you glance at things like.. The In-Room Dining Menu: This one varies tremendously between TFT vs the other two choices. Whilst the former gets an abbreviated edition of Junior's Coffee Bakery's menu, the latter gets a 4 page, full course menu with far more enticing options. The In-house Restaurants: Nearly every fine dining or even remotely fancy restaurant required us to invariably leave TFT and walk all the way to the opposite side of the resort on the Great Cedar side. Not that we don't appreciate a good stroll every now and then. But this is something folks should know prior to booking. The Rooms themselves: Going off the site photos alone, it seems that maybe, just MAYBE....the latter two hotels probably have movable Smart TVs. Didn't realize the privilege of streaming your OWN subscriptions costs extra but...here we are. Oh, btw - their check-out process was plagued with technical difficulties. Ya know how almost every hotel allows you to check out digitally so you can just drop the keys off in the outbox (or better yet, leave them in the room as you exit)? Yeah, no. TFT epically fumbled this one because that email they sent me.....was broken. As in, I clicked the button (multiple times, mind you), only to be greeted by a blank page. Which meant we had to check-out the regular way. How do you #@$! up something as basic as check-out? Don't know! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It's not like our stay was bad, per se. But when it comes to ranking a resort that's clearly trying to be the Vegas away from Vegas, such consideration goes into my rating. That said, the biggest positives were the check-IN process, the staff, valet service, the extra layer of guest room security, and that huge ass bathroom. Plus, I must admit those dual shower heads were quite nice. Ultimately, we'll return to Foxwoods one day. Just not TFT. Far as luxury towers go, this one's pretty mid. If I'm gonna be paying millionaire prices, I may as well aim for the stars next time around. The Fox Tower is worth 3 spacious showers with dual heads out of 5.

When we checked in, we walked into the lobby. It is very pretty and appears clean. To their credit, they had us next door to our friends. Super cool! It was cool until we realized we were in a construction area. They were remodeling rooms across the hall, and Sheetrock dust was billowing into the hallway. Not cool! We went to the front desk, and they were accommodating and moved us (both rooms) upstairs, away from construction. If you have ever traveled for dance, there's quite a lot of stuff to carry/move. This wasn't fun during a heat wave, but we lugged everything upstairs. The second room was serviceable. We were a bit disappointed that the pool was closed for renovation, but happy that the office suggested their "sister hotel" for swimming. A little inconvenient, but at least there was a pool.
