Rooms are a bit dated and could use a makeover. Casino check in was easy and centrally located. Would stay here again. I spent a few nights at the Grand Pequot and yes, it was expensive, but it was also a lot of fun. First, they have free vallet. It was so incredible to get off the road, get lost once, and find the right spot and the nice man tell me where to put my car. I never had to lug through the parking garage to find my car, the nice men brought it. Tip well, these vallets are incredible. The actual lobby was very clean, and has lots of space. Huge check in area, I would be scared to see it full. Listen to the people at the desk for elevator directions, I got on the wrong one and it was awful. Just so much longer.... The room was huge, and had many places to sit. The TV had a guide channel, if you enjoy finding something to watch. There is a locked door leading outside, which freaked me out until I figured out it was well locked and couldn't accidentally be opened. The bathroom is also huge, but very slippery if you're not careful. There is a mat with the towels and some grab bars on the tub so I suspect the slippery-ness is known. The toilet isn't a Pre-K reject, and actually appropriate for an average adult. (Probably not if you have joint issues...) read more

Rooms are outdated, bathroom smells like urine and moldy shower curtains, room phone to the front desk is broken. Worst of all, regardless of the 'do not disturb' sign, the housekeeping staff aggressively knocks on your door every single morning. Even when you tell the front desk staff and make sure that doesn't happen again, they consistently knock until you open the door very early in the morning. Every single morning. Very run down, it's very apparent they are struggling to keep the whole place afloat. read more

If you stay at the Grand Pequot beware the hotel is using a device called Fresh Air to supposedly detect cigarette and marijuana smoke. Foxwoods wrongfully accused my husband and I of smoking in the room because of a notification from the faulty Fresh Air device. My husband and I are not smokers and we did not smoke in a non-smoking room. Management was awful to contest with. The $575 smoking fee is still on my husband's credit card and we will be disputing with the credit card company. If anyone is interested in a class action lawsuit as this seems to be happening often, please reach out. The hotel itself is outdated, rooms smell moldy and musty. This is not a 4 star hotel and not worth your money. Such a waste and horrible experience. This was my first Foxwoods trip and I will never return!! read more

A beautiful hotel at Foxwoods Resort and Casino with the best location on the property. When you come down the elevator, you are literally at the center of everything...the casino, the best restaurants, and an entrance to the Tanger Outlets. The rooms are clean and the staff is very helpful. I have two favorite hotels at Foxwoods, and this is one of them. If I want the best location for a hotel, I choose the Grand Pequot. read more

Even though Lady Luck was not on my side at Foxwoods, I was at least thankful that I didn't have to pay for the room and that the room was pretty great. My partner and I stayed on the 14th floor and had a beautiful view of the water outside. The room was spacious and we had a king size bed with a firm mattress and the best pillows. The bathroom is huge with two mirrors and a tub that's big enough to take a bath in. The only kink was that the shower drain was kinda clogged so the water rose regardless of whether the drain was opened or closed. The amenities such as the shampoo and conditioner smelled good, but could've worked better. Housekeeping serviced the room and replenished our bottled waters without us calling. We always got fresh towels but our shower amenities weren't replenished (which we didn't care for anyway). Speaking of water, Connecticut water didn't taste great and we ended up getting a pack of Poland Spring and putting it in the fridge in the room. The bottled water wasn't so bad compared to the tap water, but it wasn't our favorite. For a two night stay, Grand Pequot gets the job done. The tower is also in the middle of the building and gave us easy access to Fox Tower, Cedar, and Rainmaker Casino. If you can get a free room, Grand Pequot is a steal, especially if you win big at the casino. read more

We did in room dining for the first time at the Grand Pequot Tower at Foxwoods and it was wonderful. We ordered breakfast and coffee. The person that took the order was super efficient and professional. It was delivered very quickly, just over 20 minutes. The delivery server was extremely kind and professional as well. The coffee was great with the extra cream we asked for, along with perfectly cooked eggs, bacon and hash browns. Their wheat toast also was definitely top shelf and toasted perfectly with whipped butter on the side. Definitely worth the price for the great experience and great service start to finish. And what a lovely way to relax! read more

My wife and I recently stayed at the Grand Pequot Tower at Foxwoods on a Thursday night. I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews because we thought our room was very nice. We had a room on an upper level floor with a great view. Everything was clean and comfortable. The only issue I had was that I reserved a room with a king, but they only had rooms with 2 queen beds. Annoying, but not terrible. The rate was very reasonable. With beautiful casinos and restaurants right downstairs, we both thought it was a really fun stay! read more

Do not book a non-smoking room even if you are not a smoker. Hotel management could call your room at any time and accuse you of smoking. This happened to me and my husband and we were charged a $500 fine and a $75 tax on the fine. You will not be able to dispute this charge because you signed a contract when you checked in. My cell phone alarm went off at 5:30 am and management called our room at 5:31 am to tell us that we had been fined for smoking in the room because the sensor went off. Even after having a security guard come to the room and verify that the room did not smell of smoke, we were unable to dispute the charge because management let that part of the story out of their report. We have been going there for 4 yrs/twice a yr and have never experienced this. We will never return. Unfortunate as we really did enjoy Foxwoods Resort and Casino. read more

Rest assured before you enter your room, it has been properly sanitized. A sanitized seal is attached to your door to signify cleanliness. A quick run down of the hotel. PROS: 1. Reasonable price for the rooms on weekdays 2. Large LED TV screen with decent channels and pay per view options 3. Bed was firm and comfortable 4. HVAC worked flawlessly and kept the room comfortable 5. Vending and icing machines on the floor fully stocked 6. Safe, mini fridge, Hair dryer, iron and ironing board provided. 8. Elevators are quick to get you moving. CONS: 1. Dated furnishings and sheets. 2. Only 2 bottles of water provided in the room. 3. No glass or ceramic mugs provided (Covid restrictions?) 4. No USB ports 5. Funky light switch set up in room 6. The distance of the water faucet is installed too far back causing you to awkwardly bend your torso to place your face over the basin to wash your face 7. No Microwave in room and not available from housekeeping. 8. Room is too dark and could use an improvement with higher LED light equivalent bulbs. 9. No Pen or paper in room 10. I forgot my razor. During check in they had No complimentary shavers or toiletries available. 11. Gym, pool, arcade and some restaurants closed 12. Daily $25 resort fee charge, why? Since I cannot use any of the resorts amenities closed due to Covid. The Covid pandemic is real and affects us all. It must be especially challenging for hotel casinos. The way they made reviews on this Tower seemed like it was so out dated but I loved this place. Hallways are so big. My room was clean and the view was nice being in the middle of the Puquot Tower. I loved my huge tub the water was nice and hot. I know people are use to the new bathroom with separate shower but this did just fine for me. This tower is close to everything in the Fox tower everything is a walk away far to get the goods. Pool is inside in this tower open for adult swim 2-6pm. Just came home after taking my mom for her birthday. Got charged $230.00, I was told because "someone smoked in the room". Neither I nor my mother have ever smoked in our lives. I saw a shower cap tied onto the smoke detector when I was in bed, and removed it. I canceled my future plans there and will not be returning. We were going on average every other month. We stayed there many times and have never been accused of this foolishness! read more

The hotel is beautiful. But why does the check in process take an hour? There were-- no joke-- 75 people in line to check in. And two staff working the desk. They were efficient, but c'mon. It's Saturday night. Then when I got up to the desk, she said "All we have left are smoking rooms." And again, like, huh? Of course I just said Okay, because what else was I going to do. But I had a reservation, it's not like I showed up and asked if there are any rooms left. I reserved a non-smoking room! The hot water handle in the sink isn't connected-- when you turn it, it just spins around and doesn't do anything. The little coffee maker in room is missing a piece (the tray that you put the coffee pod in) so it isn't usable. It's a $600 room. I feel like they should have their act together. read more

Took a short trip to Foxwoods for the weekend, and decided to stay at this hotel within the Foxwoods connected resorts. Prior to booking with this hotel I read up on some of the Yelp reviews and kind of knew what to look out for. My biggest concern was to be given a room next to rowdy-drunken guests (thankfully it didn't happen), or worst yet-unclean room. Check-in was quick and easy, requested a courtesy extended check-out time and staff was more than willing to accommodate. Stayed on the 17th floor, overlooking the luscious trees (very pretty). Room itself was spacious, and CLEAN! I still lysol down the tables and chairs myself though- Covid habit. I chose this particular hotel due to the indoor pool and since I took my kid here specifically for this purpose-glad I chose it. Pool was modern/clean and family friendly with huge bathroom/changing room. Foxwoods hotels also connects to Tanger Outlet mall, the casinos, and best yet a children's arcade for a couple of hours of kids' play. Walking around these connective Foxwoods hotels does get tiring, but there are eateries at every corner, so you can stop take a rest and grab a bite. My weekend here was very enjoyable, and relaxing. Easy valet parking. Easy check in. Nice upgraded room (jr suite). Great view on 20th floor. I'd stay here again. Easy to get too all the casinos from here smack in the middle if the whole place. Mid week was perfect. Not too crowded. Housekeeping was really good. Small noisy fridge at the wet bar but all in all very comfortable. Lots of games to choose from. Service overall was good. List my eyeglasses and the list and found people were good but security people were so less than helpful and responsive. Barely paying attention. My husband and I had a little mid week getaway without the kids. We are frequent to the casino, but decided to stay overnight this time. We booked a room at the Grand Pequot Tower, a suite, with 1.5 baths, separate living area, king bedroom and a jacuzzi tub. Sounds great, right? WRONG. THE 1st room we checked into, had a stained couch and mice crawling within the ceiling behind and above the bed! I called the front desk and they moved us to another suite, this one had body hair in the tub, and dirt all over the bathroom floor. The toilet kept running, so there was a constant noise of running water. To top it off, after it being 2 am ... I hoped into bed to sheets which felt like plastic. Horrible horrible HORRIBLE experience. If it not had been so late, I would have just went home rather than stay the night. read more

Bathroom tiles are filthy as well as clothes hangers. No amenities. If you're going there you're going to loose your money for gambling then sleep in a big prison cell with a bathroom and a window. Grand pequot used to he top notch. The hotel common areas had trash from the day before still hanging on window sills. Pool area has really been let go. Mildew everywhere and screaming childred playing ball in the pool. Staff no where to be found. Ordered room service for breakfast and twice was brought the wrong order. Waited over an hout and was offered $5 off? Complained at the front desk and had it comped as i still hadn't had breakfast. Was told to go to the horrible buffet but wasnt offered a voucher? I complained some more and was given a room credit for $20 which i wasted at the veranda breakfast buffet. Buffet had cold sausage, soggy bacon, and cheese blintzes which were pathetic. My plates were never cleared and my server was extremely hard to find. Morning ruined :/ Update: They asked me to reach out to them for what? Just checked into the Grand Pequot hotel. The bed in 1128 was dirty. There were yellow/brown stains and a mix of dust and hair; possibly a dead mosquito, I didn't get close enough to find out. Then we were "upgraded" to 2086. We opened the door and SOMEONE WAS ALREADY IN THE ROOM. So we go down to the lobby and are now in 1626 with a $30 "complimentary" amount for food. This is absurd. We just paid over $600 for this. We're here until Sunday and I hope we find any sort of positive in this hotel, because so far we're off to a horrified beginning. It's not the Bates Motel but it is pretty scary. This place is a dated dump featuring rooms brimming with tattered furniture and chipped (or perhaps chewed?) pressed wood furniture. During my 18 hour stay, the corridor outside my room was never not clogged with chambermaids and their carts, making for a needlessly arduous trek to and from the elevators. As most surfaces in the room were either sticky or stained, it's hard to understand the constant presence of this inept cleaning crew. read more

We arrived to find a dirty pair of boxer shorts in the closet. Called the front desk and they said they would be picked up by housekeeping.We ended up waiting almost 40 minutes and no one arrived. I ended up having to go down to the desk in person to get them picked up by housekeeping. The hallway outside my room is a constant smell of marijuana being smoked. Over the past couple of years we have seen the care of the facility deteriorate. In front of the elevator is trash that has been there for at least 36 hours. It doesn't help that the majority of restaurants are closed for Monday- Thursday. Very disappointing as to what has become of this once beautiful hotel. read more

We ordered room service. Nachos, pizza, buffalo wings and chicken quesadilla just to snack on before a late dinner. We were satisfied with the buffalo wings, pizza and chicken quesadilla. The quesadilla was nice, they, had some green chili in them giving them a little heat. The nachos were a miss. They were very stale so we left them almost untouched. Stayed here one night so we just grabbed a standard room. The room was large, plenty of space. The bathroom was huge. Plenty of closet space. The furniture is a little beat up and the carpet has seen better days. Beds were just okay, not very comfortable. We only stayed one night and slept well so no regrets staying there, and it's in the middle of the all the action. read more

Came for Chappelle show. First time staying. They gave a smaller, very basic room. We booked a large room with larger size and amenities. When we raised this to the manager at the reservation desk they refused to acknowledge that the rooms were different. It was HALF the size! Avoid this place since they do not honor their bookings. I went to a CT Restaurant Association awards dinner tonight. 1110 foodservice professionals gathered to celebrate the industry and Foxwoods just failed. The dinner was barely edible. The lobster was just mush on a plate, although the service was great and the dessert, chocolate crunch cake AKA opera cake was outstanding. Overall a fail. Shame on the Foxwoods team for servicing such mediocre food for this prestigious group of restaurateurs. read more

We had booked the Grand Pequot Hotel recently, and requested early check- in, requesting (and paying in advance for early check-in) a 12 noon check-in. We did not receive a message from the hotel, so we left home and arrived at the hotel at 12:15. The wait to valet the car was 20 minutes! The wait at the check-in desk was another 15 minutes, where we were told early check-in was not available. The clerk suggested that we have lunch and come back and hour later, the room should be ready by then. We roamed the Foxwood main shopping hallways looking for a lunch spot. What we saw were run-down stores, some empty store fronts and mass people congestion. We came back an hour later, waited on line again, and this time was told to come back at 3, two hours later. At 3, we. were told to come back at 4. AT 4 we were told that rooms aren't ready for check-in till 5. In the end, I asked for the manager who was not particularly interested in my issue and said we had option to not check-in and just leave (we would not be charged). So we left. read more

I have stayed in a lot of whole-in-the-wall hotels, but this is definitely not one of them! While the staff isn't exuberantly friendly, they are nice. We checked in without a problem and our room was beautiful. The bed was a king-sized giant pillow! Waking up was hard to do because of how darn comfy this bed was. The hotel also had free internet, free coffee, and free water. Yup, the water in the room is free so make sure you take it if you didn't drink it! However, situated on the 15th floor we had a wonderful view of a construction sight. Luckily there was no noise during the day or night. The hotel also had a small pool and two hot tubs which were clean and free for guests. Although it was not an extravagant pool it was very well-kept. The hotel is clean, modernized, filled with decent staff, and has a pool! If only our room had a better view... read more

Stayed this last month and had bed bug bites. BEWARE and check the beds and accommodations. We got in late and it was dark in the room, but my husband and I both were itchy and had marks. This was on the 17th floor. I notified hotel management right after this occurred, and they said they would take the room offline, have it checked, and notify me. I still have not heard from them which is poor customer service. read more

Stayed here for 2 nights. Service desk was very nice when asking for more towels and shampoo, and came up within 15 minutes. But here are the bad things. Beds hard as a rock. Sheets are not comfortable, and stiff. Dust is everywhere. Opened the closet to put in my clothes and they get covered in dust. And furthermore in the bathroom behind the mirrors are caked on dust and cobwebs. I have been constantly sneezing since I have been here. The wallpaper and carpet are dingy and old. Markings on walls and needs updating. Even the lamp shades have stains on them. And to top the cherry on the cake is that it's 9:30 am and my family and I are being rushed out the door by housekeeping. Knocking on the door twice, asking if we are checking out. Thought check out was at 11:00? Checked the book and it is. Will be talking to the front desk very soon. Left the comment card by the tv. Ridiculous. When checking out explained that housekeeping was knocking on our door twice. Guess someone from the desk checked us out at 8:45am! We were still there! My family and me are not pleased at all. read more

This is my 3rd time staying at Foxwoods and my 2nd time staying at the Grand Pequot tower. There is a lot to like about this place and I feel it is definitely worth the 3.5 hour drive to get here. My mom had complimentary rooms so we decided to come for a few days. The pros outweigh the cons. Pros: 1. Free parking unlike Atlantic City casinos and we felt safe in the garage. 2. So much to do even if you don't gamble! Tanger outlets, go carts, arcade, bowling, multiple bars and restaurants, hiking trails, indoor and outdoor pool, spas, a museum and more! All of this is in the casino or minutes outside of it. 3. The rooms are a good size and the views make up for whatever the room lacks. 4. Friendly staff and easy check in. 5. Lots of choices for food in all different price ranges. 6. Grand Pequot tower doesn't have the best rooms but it has the best location! We stayed at Fox Tower before and it was too much walking to get to everything. This tower is in the center of it all! 7. Only a short distance from downtown mystic, mystic village, mystic aquarium. Cons: 1. The bathrooms need updating. No doubt about it. The room is gorgeous and then you walk into the bathroom and see an old tub with an old shower curtain and it just turns you off completely. Spend the money and get some updated showers with glass doors. The water pressure is also awful. 2. Rooms are way too dark. Literally felt like I was doing my makeup by candlelight lol. 3. Expensive! If you don't have a comp room or a Groupon this place is too pricey compared to other casinos. I looked to get a room in the summer and the prices were insane. Overall, I recommend Foxwoods for a nice little getaway with a variety of entertainment options for people of all ages. read more
