As a regular customer with a well documented history of my usual haircut for the last 10 years, should be a no-brainer for the stylist. 1/2 to an inch off all the way around, depending on how long since my last visit. Apparently Dejah feels she has a better understanding of what I should be getting than the other 10 stylists I have had there or myself, and figured a quick pass with a Toro Weed Whacker was more in line with what I needed. Too short, very uneven, an tapered when I specifically told her blocked in the back..... SIIIIGGGHHHHH, oh well I guess after 15-20 good haircuts, I was due for a butchering. read more

Most of the cutters in this place I have gotten not that great haircuts. But the Owner/manager lady gives good haircuts.

My husband just got his LAST haircut here today, after several bad experiences. This place is dirty, gross, they don't clean scissors or combs between customers. Today he had the same girl he had last time and both experiences were atrocious. I'm a bigger girl, so I have nothing against bigger people. But when you are too big to reach your customer's hair with both hands when you're cutting it, you shouldn't cut hair. She was also sweaty and had hair stuck all over her. When we got home, his cut was so crooked that I had to re-cut it. He also had a lady there before that was telling him how gross it was to run her clippers over zits on people's heads... this was before running her clippers over his head. And why would you even tell a customer that?? GROSS. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

Do NOT go here!! It's dirty, gross, most of the girls do a terrible job. No cleanup in between cuts. Scissors and combs are not cleaned between customers. My husband finally decided to stop going here after he left the last 2 times and I had to basically re-cut his hair and do my best to fix what they had messed up when we got home. Like many other reviews, I experienced a technician who did not listen to my instructions. The first time I told the woman that I wanted a pixie cut, but that due to my unusual hairline in the back, it couldn't be overly short. She cut it too short, and ended up having to use the electric clippers to get the hairs short enough that they wouldn't stick out. The second one who clearly does not understand the English language was told twice during the haircut that she wasn't cutting short enough. When I asked how short she was cutting she said exactly as I asked for. I then said it looked too long. She then proceeded to state that in fact she was cutting it longer than I asked for. I said it needs to be shorter. I said one more time about half way through the cut that it needed to be shorter. She never paid any attention to my request. She was clearly trying to get me done as fast as possible to get to the next hair cut. I know these gals live on tips, but if they want a decent tip, they need to do a better job. I have had descent haircuts as well at this salon, but the last gal ensured I will not be back. I also own a local business, and I donate unsold back-issues of magazines to local nail and hair salons. I do put a sticker on them indicating where they came from, and am up-front with the shops that I do it to promote my business. Every single shop I have offered these magazines to has cheerfully accepted them except this shop. The manager gave me a completely nonsensical reason for rejecting them. If she was uncomfortable with them because they promote my business, all she had to do was say so. I can respect that level of honesty. Her response left me cold. In my travels to other salons in the area, I have the opportunity to feel the atmosphere in other shops. The shop with the most inviting atmosphere was Tangle on Main Street in Jackson. They now get my business. read more

Butchered!!!! I stopped in for a trim and shaping. I made it clear what I was looking for and walked out with the worst hair cut I have ever experienced. I am so upset with the cut which will take months to recover from. The stylist apologized for cutting my hair so short (2-3 inches) which is not a trim. An apology cannot correct the ineptitude of the stylist. I expect that she just moved on to the next unfortunate victim! I will never allow this company the opportunity to do this to me again! read more

I walked in and put my name on the list and was told that there would be a 20 minute wait but I actually had to wait 1 hour and 40 minutes and I originally asked for a specific woman but was told, I couldn't do that either! There scheduling sucks! read more

My first time going to great clips was a good experience. I think they did a fine job cutting my hair. The staff was really nice too. They made sure that I was happy with the hair cut. Not sure if I will be returning to my barber shop. I guess I will try great clips again and see after that! read more

So very sorry I didn't take the time to drive into Sacramento to the Great Clips I've been happy with. Julee is on to avoid she didn't listen when I said growing my hair out just need to touch up strays. She asks after shearing the heck out of it how does that look? I pointed out she had cut one side shorter and she yelled at me "I'm not finished" needless to say my hair was so butchered I'll be wearing a hat all winter. Lesson learned!
