This is place is great !!! if you like terrible customer service and bad haircuts. Very disappointed with my haircut. I guess I have to wait 2 weeks for it to grow out and look better. I was a walk-in. Lady at the front desk seemed annoyed that I even came in for a cut. No eye contact...just.. "Your name"? The stylist I had last time wasn't there so I went with a different one. ( Celina was her name I think. Same attitude as front desk. Nicely explained how I wanted my hair. # 2 clippers on the sides , blended in to the top , very little off the top. She seemed offended that I explained it...like , "I'm the stylist,,, I know what I'm doing". Turned me away from the mirror the whole cut. When I politley asked if she could turn me toward the mirror so I could see.... she acted as if I said something absurd. Any way , I walked out of there with a faux- hawk. No blend. Just # 2 all the way up and left the top the same. I have 9- 5 job. ..and now I have a faux- hawk. When I commented about no blend. She said ..I just did it the same way you had it when you came in? I've been going to this salon for years but today was officially my LAST visit after experiencing really bad customer service. When Timmeka, the store manager, checked me in, she discovered my phone number was not updated in the system and said "We can't predict when your phone number changes" and I tried to explain to her that I thought they had updated it when I was in 6 weeks ago. However, I could see she was already in a bad mood and for some reason felt it was OK to take it out on me even though stylists are usually nice to the customers. Then when it came time to get my hair cut, I gave her the heads up that I had just had my eyelashes done and needed to avoid getting them wet. She said "... So what do you expect me to do about that?" I said "I'm just letting you know because it's something I'm supposed to be careful about is all." She said "Well that's up to you. I'm not trying to spray your eyes. Cover your face??" (Mind you she rolled her eyes at me every few minutes during the entire time she interacted with me.) I was honestly just trying to be helpful given that eyelash treatment is a common thing in Los Angeles ... Then after I told her I'm a bit tender headed she still yanked so hard that I started to cry. Finally, when the haircut was over I looked in the mirror and said "Thank you it looks nice, and all of the layers were trimmed?" She asked "... Why wouldn't they be? It's an all over cut, why wouldn't I do that?" My goodness, it was just a question! I'm not a hairstylist and I'm trusting you with something very important to me. Please be mindful of a customer's questions and stop making people feel so bad about everything. I understand that Great Clips prices are cheap and we're not paying for a luxury experience here, but basic politeness is the least you can provide with your services. Not to mention, you have no idea what people are going through when they visit your salon so your insensitive attitude just makes everything worse. read more

Reason why I chose to use this barber shop is for convenience of closeness to home and making appointment for prompt service. I made an appointment on line and the waiting time was 59 min. I got to barber shop on my 50th min. and the one lady barber was doing hair on a woman and another lady waiting on a chair for her turn. My name was next to the lady waiting on a chair. That means that I have to wait for another 1/2 hour or more. Told the lady barber that their on line appointment is not accurate and I left and went elsewhere to get a haircut. read more

I been going to this place for about a year, It is a very inexpensive place, however that does not justify poor service and abuse. I do understand that the bar of expectations is really low and that is how I go to this place, knowing that I have to give clear direction, but wow is always a hit and miss. Here is a list of the surreal experience. 1) There establishment does not provide tools to their stylist and the stylist don't bring their own, every time I am ask to use my head band to hold my hair or hold it with my hand. 2) Most of the stylist rotate all the time and probably they have never work anywhere else, so they can be slow and inaccurate. 3) I believe I am very patient and don't have hug hangups with my hair however I have had 3 horrible haircuts from this place in the over all experience of 10 haircuts. and one of them I was allowed to go out with holes in the back of my head. 4) I call the owner of the salon and spoke to him of the experience I explain to him that because of their service now i have to get extensions to fill the holes left and on top of that I get bad service. His answer was that I already pay there is nothing he can do and what did I want. really? 5) After all this when you arrive and you ask the person that does a decent job to do your hair and she recommends someone else can do it, and you explain to them that if they make another hole or miss you will do the same to their head and not pay, their answer is they will call the police and refuse service for aggression. As far as I am concern it is a physical abuse, aggression to mutilate any part of ones person or personal effects that is how it works. NEVER AGAIN! read more

First I'd like to say that Debby is amazing and I enjoy every visit when I'm attended by her. She's very social and outspoken but nonetheless she pays attention to detail and her cuts are on point. However as much as I would love to give this place a 5 star review due to Debby, I sadly can't do this as I've notice that there are some employees who aren't as focused and spend more time gossiping. While there is no harm in having they have to remember that the person who's hair they are cutting comes first. I came early one day and had a different person cut my hair and I'm sad to say that I wasn't happy with the results as it my hair was left uneven. Due to my past experience I will visit again but I do advise that the stylists do pay more attention. read more

I have been going to this location since its grand opening. It has been convenient for me but the quality is not great and customer service is a hit or miss. Some stylist are awesome and others make you feel rushed. My last experience was the last straw. I went for a hair cut and asked the stylist for a taper and to cut a little of the top. The stylist asked what number I wanted on the top and since I wasn't sure what NUMBER my hair was at the time, I simply asked for a little to be cut off. I didn't think my request would be such a big deal to a STYLIST. But she began to argue with me and demanded me to give her a number. She stopped cutting my hair mid way and the MANAGER asked if I wanted to wait for her to finish cutting my hair. Was I suppose to leave with half a haircut? I saw the corporate number on the wall and called right on the spot. I was told the owner would be contacted in regards to the incident and then I would be called back with a follow up. Once the manager began to finish cutting my hair, she discouraged me from calling corporate and said "I will be the one you would talk to so calling them is kind of a waste of time". I received a discount, which I believe my haircut at that point should of been free after receiving half a hair cut and having to sit in the lobby embarrassed. My experience was humiliating. Management or corporate did not even try to do enough to make things right for a long time customer. I never even received an apology. The so called stylist that couldn't figure out how to cut a little off the top of my hair and the manager who just sat back listened to her start an argument with a customer is UNACCEPTABLE I will NEVER return to this location and I do not suggest this location. read more

The first time I came here, I got a decent haircut for a low cost but this second time around was ridiculous. I came in on Monday with no one else in the shop but two hair dressers. I was sat down by one of them and explained that I just wanted an undercut. I already had one previously but I needed a trimming. My hair dresser didn't say much and acknowledged it and started to give a #2 shave on my sides. The thing was that typically when I have my sides shaved, hair dressers typically tie my long hair up so it doesn't get in the way and accidentally get shaved. However, she decided to leave it down. I quickly made a note of it and suggested that she tie it up because I didn't want her to accidentally cut it off with the shaver, but she didn't understand why and after a little struggle, the other hair dresser came over and explained to her what a undercut was. I was appalled that she seemed so inexperienced despite being hired here. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. Maybe there are different variations of the hair style that I am unfamiliar with. She starts shaving my sides very fast and loosely as if she didn't care if she messed up. Still gave her the benefit of the doubt. The sides aren't that important. I can fix them on my own. She moves to now trimming the top which is the primary reason why I came in. Typically when I get my top hair cut, the hair dressers try to layer it and make it even all the way through. This hair dresser did not even try. She legit just wet my hair, combed all of it to the side and proceeded to cut off an inch from the edges of my hair making her way around my head with a scissor. Then she was done... I was charged $16 for that. Something I could have easily done myself with no skill whatsoever. She clearly had no idea what she was doing. She seemed like a nice lady. I have nothing against her, but I am just stunned that Great Clips would even hire someone like this and allow them to cut a person's hair. I will probably never come here again. This was by far my WORST experience getting a haircut. I don't mind if a hairdresser that knows what she is doing, gives me a haircut that is kind of meh, but the fact that it feels like Great Clips just found a random person and put a pair of scissors in their hands allowing them to cut a person's hair with no formal training just appalls me. read more

I've had very good experiences at this Great Clips. Very FAST and friendly. I agree with the reviewers who say MICHEAL gives an excellent haircut, as does MARIA! Really top-notch. Remember to check-in ahead on-line and the waiting time is usually very short. I'm usually in and out in 20 minutes, and I get a great haircut. End of the holidays is rush time. Im in a hurry of finding time out of my busy schedule to get everything finished before Sunday. Attending a Christmas party on Saturday, I decided to visit the closes Great Clips close by. Unfortunately, i regret coming here for my cut. The barber was rough when cutting my hair. I know its a time to rush but not on my hair. She had a rude attitude and she managed to knick my ear while giving me a fade. I was so glad when she was finished butchering my scalp. If you manage to go to Great Clips, I suggest you avoid the aggressive barber, Temeeka only if you want to leave with an headache. read more

I came to Great Clips with a coupon special. I walked in, no reservation and about an hour before closing. I went through some sort of logging in process and after waiting about 5 minutes I was seated. I was very specific about the cut I wanted. The stylist proceeded to wet my hair and cut and in less than 10 minutes she declared I was done! Uh, no! It was not at all what I told her! She cut more and decided I was done. The next day I went back and asked for a redo as I was unhappy with the cut. Again, a quick snip here and there in less than 5 minutes. She told me next time I would have to pay for a redo and that I needed to tell them how I wanted my hair cut! I went home disgusted and for the next 2 weeks I took scissors and a mirror and trimmed until I got it the way I wanted it in the first place! I have a new coupon but I won't be using it! Horrible, Horrible, Horrible!!!!! I blame myself. I had an important event and should have gone to a reputable salon. I waited to the last minute and could not go anywhere really fast. I only needed my sides cleaned up. I asked the girl to not touch the top only do my sides. My first clue was when she did not know the clipper guard sizes... then she used the guard I told her not too because I usually go shorter. I thought oh well as long as its cleaned up. THEN!!!! She cuts off 70% of my bangs. Oh no... I measured them to be 1/2 inch or less when I got home. The rest of my hair she left different lengths from 2 inches to 4.5 on the very top. She left the top of course but not my bangs there were nubs sticking up now. So how do you fix this.... You cut the rest to match. Now I have a buzz cut and will need to find a hat for my event. Some people do not look good with a buzz cut. Thats why we grow out our hair so we do not look like a cone head. I highly recommend NOT going here unless you dont care. Last I called to complain and find out the girl is new 2 days on the job. Im sorry I blame the manager who is not over seeing new employees to make sure they do not mess up.
