they participate in the wigs for kids program but the hair cut isnt free which is fine since the prices are pretty fare, $27 for a haircut is a good price in LA just for a cut from a legit place, salons usually charge $50 , the cheapest woman haircut is probably donh kin but its from chinatown and its $15-$20 but the cut isnt that great https://www.wigsforkids.org/donate-your-hair/ i did call ahead and asked if this location participated in the program "wigs for kids" a female answered and she said yes they do participate and thats it, she answered my question replied "yes we do participate anything else?" she didn't say that it wasnt complimentary like the wigs for kids and great clips website says. when i got there william then told me i had to pay for it even when donating https://www.greatclips.com/about-us/giving/wigs-for-kids i was just looking for a place to donate my hair for the charity called "wigs for kids" its been a long time since i cut my hair and i was going for short anyways, eagle rock doesn't participate but burank location might, heard of great clips from podcast you can sit with us and hairstylist david dang, hopefully the charity would benefit from my hair donation i had no clue what i wanted to style my hair as i just wanted to meet the requirement of 12 inches and have someone cut it off straight william cut my hair was very nice and explained layered style would suit me william was very detailed and thorough of asking if i styled my hair if i had a picture of the cut i wanted. for the donated hair, william tied my hair into sections and electric razored it off, then washed my hair and cut the layers and then ends of the already cut off hair from the pony tails, showed me how it was like wet and i really liked the style of the layers even though it was shorter than what i expected i had to ask to get my hair blow dried after it was cut otherwise just finish and walk out with wet hair, wasnt styled while blow dry because its extra, my hair was partially blow dried, it was shorter than expected i showed a picture of the length i wanted but it was cut shorter, we both confirmed the cut to be at my collarbone but my hair was cut shorter halfway up my neck, the pony tailed hair that i donate was cut off to collarbone, but after my hair was washed kept cutting the ends to even and cut the rest into layers placed the cut off pony tails hair in an envelope with the address of wigs for kids and a card with the id number from my hair donation form make sure to tip your hairstylists i tipped $5 in cash, always try to tip cash so it goes directly to the person who provided the service, those automated tip questions at the end take time to go to the employee and sometimes dont even go to the them (this is my own overall general opinion when tipping in LA was not required or asked to do in this haircut place) also got a $5 off coupon for a next haircut with my receipt

Came here for the first time just before Christmas after trying out a few other salons. Parking is ample lot parking, the salon is super clean. William and his staff are very attentive. William took the time to explain my kind of hair and how I could style it, gave me tips and advice. There were two hair stylists in the morning and they were busy. It's a good place to get hair done quickly and inexpensively. It's a bit far from where I live but I would make the drive just for the parking and the quality of the hair stylists. Great clips, you should help William get his own great clips salon. He's great at what he does and is an asset. It's 2024, bump him up to franchise owner. Y'all should help him with the loan and make him a franchise owner.

Leave the open sign on way past close

Honestly had a very disrespectful greeting upon entry "oh we are closed" this was at 06:10 and they're damn open sign was still on. So I went to get some soap and when I left at 06:34 the staff still didn't turn off the sign. Cutting hair is hard so can't nobody turn off the sign that says you are open when you're not?

WOW!!!!! I got home to wash my hair to find out my "George Clooney" type haircut ended up looking like George Clooney from the trailer park! WTF!!? Never coming back to this place! Hair stylist lady completely ruined the back of my head! Take a look at the photo of the hair cut I showed her compared to the cut she gave me!

    Just waiting for my turn.

William is the worst. Called today and asked a few questions, he then hangs up on me while I'm still talking. Who does he think he is, so rude. I will probably look for another place if this guy is still working here. The funny thing is there was another customer waiting for their turn, and when he overheard me talking to the other hair stylist about who that rude guy is, he straight up gave me his name and said he had a bad experience with him as well. The owners of this place need to get rid of this guy. A 22 dollar haircut for someone to hang up on you.

Through the non-profit "Children with Hair Loss" Du Japon Hair Club was vetted for donations and is the only approved salon in the Los Angeles area. I met Yuki, who owns and operates this salon and also one of the best stylists I've had in my years of barbers. She is so nice and explained the process of the donation and also provided guidance on selecting the best hair cut for me. After looking at a few photos, I decided to go with a moderate cut to ease back into the general population. I was so happy with the results and would recommend Yuki to any of my friends. She will only take appointments and is the busiest during the weekend. I would recommend calling well in advance for your appointment, as she works generally towards the end of the week through the weekend.

Yuki should have warned me that my hair was too fine for this process instead of taking my money to ruin my hair. If she is so experienced and so great she should have known better and know that the process she was doing would ruin my hair. This is my warning to others that are going here to have straightening done. Don't rely on her to tell you it's not right for your hair. To top it off when I called to tell her she did not apologize, she did not act as though she felt bad her response was not caring at all. Not to mention she didn't offer any advice or a refund. Now it will take me years to get my hair healthy and I'm so upset.

I said I had another appt after but that would be fine. I arrived and sat down and waited. They said I was checked in. I waited one hour before going to the front desk to say that now, I would not have time to do the appt because, as I told them, I would have to leave for another appt. I had allotted 2 hours and now there was only 1 hour left and I had not even been seen or sent for hair washing. All the while I waited, I could see Sal doing at least 2 other people's hair. When I asked the front desk if I could reschedule, they said they would talk to him. Several minutes passed. Sal was aware that I was there, but chose not to speak to me himself. He chose not to even take two minutes to face me and apologize. He was going to Mexico the next night, and could only offer the next day during hours I had to work. The salon manager apologized for Sal and offered another hair dresser. I have curly hair and want someone experienced in curly hair- especially when the haircut is right before my wedding and will cost hundreds of dollars. I think the worst part was that Sal was right there but simply didn't have the courtesy to apologize. I will never return to this salon. As for my wedding in two weeks, I have asked my makeup artist to help me find someone.

I found Anya on Reddit and came in on a nice Sunday to get a curly cut from her. She was super comfortable doing my hair and talking to me about what I wanted, and even made suggestions that went along with what my endgame was. I essentially told her I wanted to keep my bangs and my face framing little hair tendrils, and she can do what she wanted with the rest! From there, she asked questions such as how heavy my hair feels regularly/the last time I got it cut, if I like my hair to have volume or sit the way it is and mimicked with my hair how both versions looked, made observations and suggestions on where we could go. Honestly, this was the best experience I've had! She thinned out a lot of my hair as well since it gets pretty heavy for me, gave me a nice shape and my hair more personality, and even layers on the back to make everything more cohesive! Frankie was my wash tech (is that what they're called?) and she was great to talk to about books! She was also very cautious on making sure the water was just right for my scalp. Though when we rinsed with cold water it hit soooo good hehe.

She is 100% the doctor and the surgeon. I got exactly what | asked for. Read that again: EXACTLY what I asked for. Having experienced the accuracy of an exclusively blonde colorist, I cannot overstate that value. 3) Communication It's possible your colorist may have to interpret what you're asking for. It's possible this takes time. Cait spent time with me. She encouraged me to say more and made me feel comfortable (read: not-stupid) as I probably talked out of both sides of my mouth and stumbled through my wants, needs, pictures, let-downs, etc. Look, I don't care who's hair you've colored, or "red carpet" this, "social media following" that blah blee blah.
