This was my second time coming to this location, and unfortunately the customer service was just as bad as the first time. During my first visit, the person attending my child was extremely rude and unhelpful. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because they were very busy that day, so even though I wasn't happy with the haircut or the service, I decided to give them another chance. Today we came back and had a different person, Karen, and the experience was just as disappointing. She was very rude, unwilling to listen to the haircut request, and ended up doing what she wanted instead of what was asked. She also seemed annoyed about having to cut a child's hair, which made the experience very uncomfortable. As a paying customer who even leaves a good tip, I do not appreciate being treated this way. I have been going to great clips stores for over 10 years. I consider myself a loyal customer. Every year I buy their $10.99 prepaid card, and I always take a picture of my receipt and the card in case I lose it. This has never been a problem for great clips stores, manually they enter my card information and I use my card , until the manager of the lake hart store told me that this is not possible(11/16/2022 , 6pm), she didn't want to help me even though I said to her that I have always used this card this way and never had any problems until now. For $7 dollars, the store manager literally fought with a customer who had been coming to the store for over 10 years. Unbelievable ! I finally finished this nonsense and paid the amount she asked for, because inside the customers started to stare at us, I think I thought about the reputation of great clips more than the store manager. Also somehow for the last 2 years it has been a big problem to buy the $10.99 card from this shop in November ,(lake Heart) they always say they are out of stock. if you don't want to sell this card why are you offering it? In general I am satisfied with great clips, my only problem is that the young short lady manager there made a fool out of me. read more

I showed the type of haircut to the hairdresser and she cut my extra long hair in layers completely misaligned and disconnected, in addition to cutting my bangs super short and crooked than the example showed to her. At the end of the cut I got out of the hairstyle chair disappointed with the result besides the lack of professionalism she let me go with the remains of the cut all over my face. The hairdresser's name is Sonia! I really didn't like her service and I don't recommend it or intend to return after this "great" experience. I also come to compare that my first time in the salon was not like that, the other hairdresser was professional and pleasant, the old result was very good. Every day I wake up sad and I'm investing in excellent hair products and vitamins to grow what Sonia ruined. At no time did I disrespect or be rude to the hairdresser I refer to. I came here for a quick haircut and I was very happy with my experience. Lori did a wonderful job! I can't wait to come back to her in eight weeks as suggested. Lori took her time with my crazy curly hair and even though I was just getting a simple trim (since one inch in curly hair is 10 haha) she made my appointment feel special. She tried all types of different hair products that worked great for my hair. I was on a budget but if it weren't for that I would've probably spent a hundred dollars. A important thing to note is you can make your appointment online. I didn't do that this time but my wait was still less than 15 minutes despite them being very busy. They seem to have a full staff. I've been coming here for 13 years. I get my haircut with Tiffany the manager as do my kids and husband, They only want  Tiffany to cut their hair. I've Come to find out Tiffany is no longer at this location. I stopped in to the lake Nona location recently to give someone else a try and no one acknowledged me so I left.  After calling around I found out she is at the Great clips at Narcoossee Shoppes "1927 S Narcoossee Rd, Saint Cloud, FL 34771"(407)593-8800. We will be following Tiffany to her new location. Not sure why she left this location after so long but I'm sure there were good reasons. It was sad to find out she is no longer managing here. Just a warning this review is going to be long, but someone needs to know what is going on here and if I had the opportunity to give zero stars, I absolutely would . I'm not one to write a review but this visit definitely warrants one. I checked 3 people in for a haircut around 5:00pm we arrived and requested Sarah cut my son's hair and my husband and my other son didn't request anyone. My son and my husband sat down in chairs and started with their haircuts, and my other son is still waiting on Sarah. My other son should've been the next haircut that sat in her chair. So as we're still waiting, my husband and son are done with their haircuts and we decide to go to Publix as my son is still waiting to be seen Sarah. All of a sudden as I'm in Publix it's now about 5:30-5:40 And my son calls me and tells me that he has been turned away that Sarah is not taking anymore clients even though they close at 6 PM. So I call and asked to speak to the manager And was told that she was busy she would have to call me back. The so called manager Annmarie called me back, I explained the situation and she said that should never have happened. However, apparently Sarah is pregnant and not taking any more clients, even though they don't close until 6 PM. I explained that we had been checked in since around five had already paid for my other son and Husband to get their haircut and now we've been sitting there for a good 30 to 40 minutes and now all of a sudden she's not taking any more clients. So Annmarie told me to come back down there, so I went with my son and we went back to Great. I walk in and I couldn't believe my eyes. There was somebody new that was sitting in Sarah's chair a lady even though apparently she wasn't taking any more clients, even though my son should have been the next one. I mentioned this to the manager and she profusely apologized and said that she would get everything situated and taken care of for us. Then all of a sudden I overhear Sarah telling the manager that she doesn't know who we are, and why we requested her, so I of course, chimed in and simply stated my son requested you because, you are good at what you do and he wanted you to cut his hair and the manager said anybody is good in that salon so anyone could cut his hair and I said no but we had requested Sarah. So then Sarah turns around extremely disrespectful and rude. And starts raising her voice saying that she will not be cutting his hair. She is pregnant tired and is going home and not taking any more clients. And then turned around and said "THANK YOU." WTF I couldn't believe the disrespect I turned to the manager and Marie and I said, and you were just going to sit there and let your employee speak to your clients like that. She stated she has no control over her employee and what they do or say I said I've been a long time customer of this salon for myself and my entire family not to mention I had already just spent $60 on my husband and my other son's haircut and I was getting ready to spend money on an additional haircut . I told my son to go ahead and head outside, so we walked outside, and I decided to turn back around and come back and get a receipt along with the phone number for corporate and couldn't believe my eyes yet again there was now an additional person sitting in Sarah's chair I was furious. I got my receipt they told me to look up the phone number for corporate, and I walked out the door. I will definitely be contacting corporate, because there is no way this salon should be like this when the salon was run by Tiffany in 1 million years would've never happened read more

I wasn't wowed but I got a good haircut. First time to Great Clips and only came because I had a ticket for a free haircut. The online check in feature on the website was helpful to know if there was a wait or not before I even arrived and to put my name on the list. I got in right away though because it wasn't that busy around 5pm. There was a waiting area and a friendly receptionist. Looked like enough stylist chairs to accommodate. I liked how the stylists greeted people as they walked in the door so they always felt welcome. I also liked that the stylist gave a consultation before she washed my hair and throughout the haircut, she showed me how much she was trimming before she did it. I appreciated that, knowing I was a first customer and trying to grow my hair out. I didn't like that she used a bristled brush to comb out my wet hair. I don't think that was appropriate and I'm afraid of that not being a good, clean tool to use on multiple people's heads. I also wished she small talked a little more. I mean that's kinda a classic hair dresser experience, but hey it's a chain and I was new. All in all, this haircut have me a healthier look. read more

Haircuts here are very reasonably priced at $14 and shampoo at $3. Shampoo, cut and blow-dry is $17. My mom was pretty happy with both her haircut (I brought in a few pictures for the stylist and he did a good job reproducing the cut in the pictures) and the price, and plans on coming back here regularly. My only complaint is that a professional blow-out (shampoo and blow-dry, with minimal styling) here is considered styling and is $35 for long hair. They should make blow-outs a separate option and price it more reasonably. read more

What I love about Great Clips is the consistency. If you want your hair in a particular way, the barbers here can get it right everytime. The reason is because they take notes on the way you want your hair to be done, so different barbers can produce the same result each time. Although the cost of each haircut is about $15, you can buy their card and put money in it. Using the card will make each hair cut $10.99 instead. They do this promotion about once a year, so keep an eye out for that! read more

When we first started going here they were great. They had a really solid group of girls. Since then, they have really gone down hill. The turn over if stylist's is alarming, but I understand why they leave. I have been on the receiving end of the mangers attitude twice when I didn't want her to cut my child's hair because I Didn't like the way she cut it in the past. I brought both of my children for haircuts. Heather cut my son's hair, and she could not have been nicer. She was engaging, asking him questions and keeping him still with little games. (He's a toddler)She cut it exactly as I asked, and it came out just as I expected. I would highly reccomend Heather! Unfortunately, my daughter was not so lucky. Yarelis was her stylist, and I'm not sure if she was just having a bad day or if her attitude always stinks. She didn't smile once, and acted as though we were bothering her, as if she had better things to do than to cut an 8 year old's hair. We were told the restrooms weren't open. Left baffled and cancelled my appointment. Will never be going back. I think it's per code they need to have an open restroom for patrons. John was our stylist he was amazing.He not only saved her hair but gave her a style she absolutely loved! I went today to Great Clips 06/01/13 I specifically asked i want barber or hair stylist cut my hair who does work with scissors good. One lady was at the front reception she said i will cut you hair. So long store short she just wanted to cut fast and get next person so she can make more money. I saw that she does nt have enough experience and she is not "pro" of her job. At the and of the day she massed up my hair, she did not clean good my face, t-shirt and funny part she cut my bear couple inches leaving rest of it like it was 1/4 long bear. Pretty much what you'd expect from a Great Clips. It was clean and the staff was friendly. The haircut is pretty easy and they did leave a few stray hairs around the edges that I had to trim at home. Absolutely horrible. The nice stylist tried to do a fade, but it turned out looking like a staircase. You could see lines for every level of clipper she used. She apologized and said she has a hard time cutting fades into thick dark hair, as it is hard to blend. I guess it will grow back in a week and I'll get it fixed at another salon. Let me start off by saying that the only reason i went to this place for the first time was because i got a $5.99 coupon for there regular $15 haircut. All in all i don't think it is worth $15. I have short black hair. I requested a 1.5 dark ceasar cut (Wave Cut) with the grain, round in the back. EXPLANATION: The barber didn't look like she knew what she was doing. She would scoop off my head excess hair that had been cut off with her hands. She would constantly run her hands through my head.... awkward. Should have been using a brush. I asked her to go with the grain (meaning to shave in the direction of my hair) and she couldn't do that correctly. She would go back and forth and left patches in my hair. They barely have enough equipment to properly cut hair. After shaving my head she went to do the edges with another shaver. The reason why this doesn't work in comparison to a blade is because it does not allow any sharp details to your hairline. It was dull and you could still see the lower hair since it doesn't cut deep enough. They don't even use alcohol or some type of disinfectant after shaving the edges so be ready for bumps to start coming in. CONCLUSION: This is not a barber shop but instead "A Haircut Place". They don't have barbers but instead people who can somewhat hold a shaver. The lady even said that "they don't do blades because only barbers do that". If you are a person who likes attention to detail all around, from the haircut to the shape-up then this isn't the place for you. You can get a way better haircut for $15 with details done all around at other non-commercial barbershops. Their customer service is great but that can't make up for poor quality. This is my honest opinion and i hope helps you when deciding on a barber or i hope it helps them to improve in those areas of opportunity. read more
