I asked for wispy french bangs on my already existing curtain bangs which were grown out slightly.I showed her a photo of very dainty bangs and she literally takes scissors and goes across my forehead now I look like a toddler did them.Even worse her daughter came out which was younger than me ,in middle school, and the stylist told me her daughter wouldn't let her do her hair in the middle of the school year only the summer so halfway through the hair cut I was just sitting there like thats a pretty shitty thing to say to a client.She said quoted that I was brave to let her cut my hair.Never going back.(The one by publix on airport road) read more

So yesterday afternoon, which was August 7, 2024 I went to great clips in Cape Coral Florida. I showed a picture of what I wanted to the stylist and just basically it's a bop. I said I did not want any higher than my jawline and it's taking me two years to grow out from a short haircut for a very special event that's happening next month didn't really think that would be too hard. her name was Lindy LINDY and she was at the Santa Barbara Center great clips and this happened at 3:12 PM. She ended up cutting my hair and butchering it to above my ear halfway up from my ear. I look like someone put a bowl on my head and just went around and cut it , she went and got another stylist to try to correct it and it was just getting worse the nerve to charge me for the service but gave me a coupon and asked for a tip. I was not gonna make a scene because other customers were there, but I was livid. It took me two years to grow this out for a special event in September. I didn't think it was gonna be impossible to cut into a bop for a great clips. But when was Lindy was asked if she ever did this before she said no. I am questioning if she even has training. This was ridiculous and I'm horrified. The other girl asked me what I did for a living. It makes no stinking difference what I did for a living , I was not gonna go into my personal details. I gotta go on Camera. I'm a travel agent. I need to do some stuff online and I'm going to chili for a special event next month. My biggest mistake was going into great clips. Please please please verify these people have licenses. I have lived in Punta Gorda for a year now and have tried multiple stylist but no one knows how to do a razor cut. If you have short/fine hair - this is the way to go. I was walking in front of Great Clips and thought I would ask if they had someone that knew how to razor cut and suprisingly they had a stylist: Lara who had been doing this for a long time. It is by far the best hair cut I have had in a long time. She did a really thorough job with my hair. Now, I don't need to blowdry to make it look good - I just need to add a little product. Just to be clear, this review is about the Great Clips in Punta Gorda, at Airport Rd. & Tamiami, near Publix. I've been using this location since it opened, more than a year ago. I've always had good stylists and a short wait. Well, the short wait thing is now a thing of the past!! Last Friday, I checked in, in person, at about 5:15pm after work. I was told that there were 3 people in front of me and only one stylist. ONE STYLIST??? When you're still open for at least 3 more hours? That's absurd. While I was waiting, I watched one of the people in line in front of me get up and leave. He said he couldn't wait. A few minutes later, someone walked in who had checked in online. She was told her wait time. She laughed, turned around, and walked out. Not too many minutes later, another person came in, was told the wait time, and they, too, turned around and walked out. Wanting to give them a fair shake, I asked if someone had called in sick. I was told 'no'. Their owner will only allow one stylist to be there in the evenings. Even on days when they have their men's and women's hair cut specials. Even right after coupons have just come out (as was the case with me.) Only one stylist after 5pm? At the beginning of season? But the owner will pay to have a 'receptionist' stand around? Sounds like a really crappy way to do business. And I found out this owner owns A LOT of Great Clips locations. Went in with longer length ponytail, and asked the girl for a short cut just past the bend in my neck, asked for it to be long enough on the sides to still be able to tuck behind my ears, I stressed my issues with dry, frizzy, and wavy hair, I also stated please don't go too short because it will be even shorter once it dries. She whacked me so bad it is chopped all uneven in the back, gaps all over, four long strands still hanging down when I got home that I had to cut myself, both sides all uneven. I asked for a mirror to see the back, and she held it and kept turning it so I couldn't really see what was happening back there, until I got home, and got a mirror of my own (and just cried when I seen the stair-stepped chopped, and uneven mess in the back!. Horrible experience. I was so embarrassed, and mad about everything that I just paid, tipped her and walked out. It is SO SHORT now that I cannot even to to another Salon and attempt to get it blended. It will grow back I do know that, it's just the fact that she was in such a hurry to cut it, and didn't listen to anything I told her. We checked in and were told it would be a 40 minute wait. We did some shopping and returned in 30 minutes. Our names were removed from the sign-in. One operator was available, so one of us got a haircut. I became number four on the sign-in. The manager was there but did nothing to solve the situation. I left without a haircut, not to return again. We will shop elsewhere. I hope the owner of this location has a chance to read this. Manager is extremely unqualified. read more

Today was the second time this week that I tried to stop in for a haircut. I use the Great clips app to check in and recently when I check in it will give me a time, then a few minutes later it changes the time...then it will do it again...it happened to me last week so I cancel my check in, I was pissed. Today I checked in it said 15 min so I headed there, part way there it changes to 19 min at this point i'm local and it changes to 5 minutes then 4 so I go in. There are 3 women cutting hair, within a few minutes they all finish, I spot a 4th person back there with some binders. At this point the check in app says 0 it's my turn!! The manager goes to the regester to check in new people and tells me it will be @6 min one of the girls starts looking at scissors with what appears to be the 4th person ( a salesperson/ vendor) after @4 minutes past my check in time was up I got up and left very pissed off with this mess!! I do not know know how this place is able to alter check in times on the app, it's just plain wrong. I have been going to this franchise since it opened, I live locally and it is the closest one. I do Miss Courtney, she was a GOOD manager, the current one should be fired. I will not be back nor will I recommend this business to anyone. read more
