I had an extremely poor experience at the Great Clips in Redmond, Oregon. This was honestly the worst haircut I've ever received. The stylist did not appear to know how to properly do a fade--my hair was noticeably uneven and lopsided when finished. On top of that, the clippers being used were corded, and the cord repeatedly hit me in the face during the haircut, which was uncomfortable and unprofessional. I left needing to have the haircut fixed elsewhere. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough that I feel others should be aware. Do not go to great clips in Redmond! I did not know that I HAD to check in online or I was considered scum of the earth! So I checked in in person and was told it would be 1.5 hours before I could get in. So I did time wasting things, checked in after 1+ hours and was told I was removed from the list because I wasn't there when they were ready for me. Then it got worse. They treated me like sh&t! I have used Great Clips in Eugene, and in the Phoenix area for years. The Redmond, Or location has only one person working, And one sitting. There is one person waiting to get haircut, and still one hour and 45 min. Wait! Easier to go to Bend or another Barber in town, don't waste your time! read more

Yesterday I noticed my hair getting a little unruly and stopped at the Great Clips next to Panda Express in Redmond. I had no appointment and after cleaning the chair I was introduced to Jennifer. One of the best haircuts in a long time. Very impressed and was given a reduced coupon for next visit. read more

I was waiting to get a simple blow out done, while the hair dresser finished up on this man. When he was done, paid and walked out; the hair dresser started very loudly talking to the other dresser how she just messed up his hair. Then the other hair dresser started tell her how she messed up people's hair too. While they are trading stories back and forth I felt bad for the poor woman whose hit she was currently cutting. Next it was my turn. I was a little hesitant. But thank god I wasn't getting a cut. I found the lady doing my hair to be rude to me, obnoxious, and vulgar. I will never go there again. read more

Wendy called me a "Fat B*tch" in front of my 12 year old son today. I drove to your location on Oak Tree Lane in Redmond, Oregon today to get my sons hair cut. We have been going to this location since it opened years ago. I sent my son in as usual with the prepaid hair cut card and a five dollar tip. I looked up the time before heading there because it was already 5:30 and I realized the day had gotten away from me. I pulled up to the salon at 5:40pm. My son went in and then came back out to tell me they were closed. I looked down at the time on my phone and it was 5:42pm. I wouldn't typically expect a corporate store to close early so I went in. Nichole told me that "we closed early because it's slow." I told her that I found that upsetting and unusual for a corporate business. She rolled her eyes at me and and said "Fine, I will give him a hair cut." I told her "No. Not now that I have made you upset. I don't want you to mess it up. ". She said "I wouldnt do that." I then explained to her that it was all besides the point. "We have been coming here for years and we have a couple hundred dollars in prepaid hair cuts. I don't think we want to be your customers anymore. How do I get my money back?" She said you will have to bring the cards in for a refund. I gave her the cards right then. She processed one card and It kicked out a receipt. Wendy looked at me and said "Oh look, do you want your coupon for a $9.99 haircut?" This was said with a lot of smirking. I said "What do you think?" She said "I think it would be just great." Again with the smirk. Nichole processed the second card for a refund. Again another coupon for a $9.99 hair cut printed. Wendy couldn't seem to contain her glee as she offered it to me yet again. I asked for her name but Nichole thought I was asking her. Then I looked at Wendy and asked her name. She asked why? I said because you are a very nasty person. She said "Well you are a Fat B*tch." Today you refunded about $170 to me. I still have another $100+ that I will take in tomorrow to be refunded. With a background in customer service, I highly reccomend that you replace Wendy. She is abrasive, unprofessional and actually leaned across the counter at me in an aggressive manner while speaking to me. I have no doubt she is a liability to your company above and beyond losing my family as customers. Nichole needs to be coached/trained in customer service. You can hear her yelling as she counted the money back to me. I think she has great potential if someone worked with her to build this skills and she wasn't looking to someone like Wendy as an example. I wish you the best of luck as you determine how to address this. Employee matters are always difficult. PS- Wendy, if you are reading this you are correct. I am fat. I can't imagine why you would speak that way to anyone though, especially at you place of employment. Especially in front of my son. He was the courteous young man who held the door open for you, twice, right before you decided to help Nichole with my refund. read more
