I rushed over after my shift from my part time job yesterday to get a haircut before our lab photo at the HCI tomorrow. My stylist was so patient. Did you ever get a haircut so bad that you feel you can't leave the house for a week. If you're a male, do not come to this location. The older lady with the 80s haircut was incredibly rude. I told her what I wanted throughout when she asked if it's okay, and when I'd say what I want changed, she'd roll her eyes as if I can't see her in the fucking mirror. It was my mistake to come here for a $7.99 haircut but I ignored my intuition. I've never had that bad of an experience at Great Clips before! The store was clean and employees were nice, but my oh my Jenna why'd you have to ruin my hot girl summer I mean I asked for layers and showed her how long for each and she started cutting the back/long portion the length of the shortest layer before I finished speaking. I mean she was done cutting the back in less than two seconds and that's not an exaggeration. An elderly woman came up to her and complimented her on her speed! The shortest layer on top is actually longer than the very bottom layer. So the middle layer which should be the longest is sandwiched between two incredibly short layers. I came in almost two months ago and it still hasn't grown out. To this day, the very back layer is less than an inch long. I look like a boy! And there's no way to pull back any of the hairs so I have to rock this for the next several months. Unfortunately Ihad this hairstyle in my new drivers license picture for the next six years! The layers are very choppy and more than an inch apart in length, there's no blend. Jenna was such a sweet lady though and said they do a professional job but this has been very upsetting considering I don't care too much about hair. Went in for a haircut before posted closing hours and was told that they were no longer accepting haircuts today. I had went in earlier and it was too busy so I returned 30minutes later only to be turned down. It's bad enough that this location is only open a couple days a week. But now they are turning down customers during open hours. read more

I've been here 3 times over the last few months. The first two times were fabulous. Both stylists did exactly what I asked. The third was horrendous...the most hideous haircut I've ever seen...and I've been to beauty school myself, so I've seen a lot. She left me looking like a triceratops...there's no way that woman should ever have a license...and she was the manager, apparently. I had to practically shave my head to recover. Never again. I only go here when I can get a super-cheap haircut. They get you in and out fast but sometimes make little stray hair mistakes. It's worth the $6.99 special once in a while haircut. But I never truct them for much more than that. read more

There is a checkin app, kind of like call ahead. Terrific service from the moment you walk through the door! You are greeted and assisted within moments! Natalie was so friendly and very helpful in helping me decide what to do with my hair. She gave tips on what products to use to help with maintaining my hair, but was not pushy to buy any additional products. Great experience and didn't feel nervous to get about 3" cut off! read more

The stylist who checked me in was very friendly. I was unfortunate enough to get the other stylist, when my name was called. I only asked for a shampoo treatment and it was literally the shittiest shampoo I've ever had. No scrubbing the scalp, no massage, and the back wasn't rinsed all the way. Their online check in is not accurate for this place at least. Our appointment had a 17 minute wait so we arrived after 15 minutes. There were still three people on the list before us when we arrived (my son and I although only he was getting the hair cut). We waited through one person finishing their hair cut (the other haircutter was cleaning but then left and was replaced). I then went and asked for a new time estimate and was told it would be another 20 minutes since there were still three people in front of us, so we left with no hair cut. That would have been about a 45 minute wait, not 17 minutes. There were no apologies direct or implied for being over double the estimated wait time. So, maybe if you check in online and then wait about 20-25 minutes past when it says if it is anything beyond zero to five minutes it could work a little better, but if you are on a schedule you may want to think twice. I suppose it depends who is on staff when you go though as I had better experiences in the past. Then again though when I went in the past there was more like an estimated three minute wait. read more

I've always tried to respect the skill that goes into cutting and styling hair. I've had experiences that left me thinking that it really is an under appreciated trade. However, the experience I had today at this particular location made me realize that there are lazy hacks in the industry that can tarnish not only the reputation of the establishment they work for, but the field in general. Aside from the obvious techniques required, I assumed that listening to the customers requests would be on the top of the list. Apparently that isn't a prerequisite for the particular stylist who cut my hair today. Nothing can be more frustrating than making it a point to clarify a simple request, only to watch them completely ignore it, and do the complete opposite. I find it to be as negligent as ordering a burger at a restaurant with no cheese, and receiving one with extra cheese instead. Needless to say, I've learned the value of spending an extra $10 for a professional salon cut now, which should be disheartening to all stylists who ignore their customers. Because that extra $10 could've been your tip. read more
