This is by far the worst haircut I've ever had in my life. When I went in, I had long thick hair. I asked for some layers, but for her to keep most of the length. She looked at my reference photo for three seconds before going to town on my hair. I only spent 10 minutes in the chair before she decided that that was good. I end up with choppy, chunky layers, a V in the back, the left side is 2 inches longer than the right, and it's 8 inches shorter on the crown than when I walked in. She just immediately started chopping, and cut off 6 inches before I could ask her to keep more length. Additionally, she spent most of the haircut talking about her son's testicular cancer. I have never been so dissatisfied with a haircut. I cried the whole way home. read more

I will never bring my 5 year old there again unfortunately because of the older grey haired lady that works there! How are you going to tell me I can't be in the back with my 5 YEAR OLD?? I'm so impressed with the great clips staff! Our son is getting his haircut now. They are very professional and safe regarding the COVID-19 health and safety mandates. 1.We had to check in online. 2.Signs everywhere stating not to enter until invited by staff. 3.All staff wearing masks. 4.They took his temperature before allowing him inside. I need to wait outside, even with my mask. 5. Our son has to wear a mask before entering. They are very kind and professional. Thankfully he agreed to get layers and his sides and back of neck cut short again, since staff and I both encouraged him to do so, stating clearly this might be his last opportunity for a long time. Well I wish it was closer because I have to drive an hour and fifteen minutes to get there, never thought I'd drive 2.5 hours round trip for a hair cut but I did and it was well worth it! I was here a few months ago and had a young woman by the name of Chrissy cut my hair - the best cut I'd had in years! After several months and trying many locations and various hair stylists I had to go back to get once again a great hair cut - I guess Great Clips is an accurate name :) The store is clean, the staff are professional but also very helpful and friendly and to my great surprise, Chrissy was still there and I received the perfect cut by this talented stylist once again. Horrible service. Monica did not cut my hair how I asked. She than said she cut it how other people like their hair to be cut. Crazy cause I am not other people and they were not paying, nor were they going away with a blotched hair cut. She could not fade all the way around the head but instead thought a mullet was appropriate. She left an indent on the top of my head while trying to free hand with clippers and than said she could fix it if she goes shorter with a guard. They said 100% satisfaction guaranteed but I was charged $19 and had to go elsewhere to get my hair fixed. While explaining she needed to fade higher she said she blends at the end but never did. Monica was too worried about know her control rather than knowing what the customer was asking for. She never cleaned up my neck and would not let me see the back after she was done. Once I sat down she was more worried about going to lunch. They made it clear that the ones who know how to do hair cuts probably do not work there anymore and that they never stay. TRASH! TRASH! TRASH! Monica could not follow direction and did not know what two inches in from the hair line looked like, she only got about half an inch in and lost focus. I talked to their main branch and was told I would be contacted by management but that never happened. Find another place because this is not it. Go to Sonora Deluxe off S Stewart st. I have been there before and the service went down the drain. The first time it was a nice cut. the second time, not so good but i could live with it. Today was the worst experience ever. I can be upset at a bad hair cut, but today I am flat pissed. I gave a picture to Christina, a pixie cut with a top was supposed to be 4 inches long, I ended up with a "boy" haircut with a 2 inches long top. Very uggly. I came back home trying to fix it and realized that the sides were not even. I am so pissed. At the speed Christina went, never looking at the picture I gave her I knew she was messing up, but I didn't think she will mess up that bad. Then, when I told her it was not what I wanted at all, that it was too short, she told me that I told her to cut above the eyebrows (????) Not a "I am sorry" nothing. Love this place! I got a haircut, which I got about 5 inches taken off, and I got my hair layered all for $8.99! It was a sale but wow, when do you get all of that for such a cheap price. Worst place ever! I've been here twice. Once 2 years ago and once more a week ago. Hailey was super sweet but how she ripped me of was dirty. I asked for 1" cut off, she only cut the bottom and did not blend the top, then charged me for a full haircut. She was supposed to straighten and style my hair but when I got home the hair in back and underneath wasn't straightened. I had patches of curly hair underneath. She bragged about not charging me the full price for the style which was $34....This place is a rip off. She never offered a mirror but kept me so engaged being so sweet while she fleeced my pocketbook. Don't go here, there's other more professional salons out there like the one near Togo's. $15 for haircut, $24 for style( actual fee is $34), $5 for wash, so even with her so called discount it came out to $44, my hair was straightened, that's not a style. I liked Hailey so much that I gave her a $7 tip, ripping you off with a smile... The first time the girl was crying and didn't want to do my hair, she was angry cause she wanted to go home and proceeded to ruin my hair, grabbing large chunks of hair to try to straighten. There was drama the whole time, I felt bad for her cause the other girls said she lost her kids to her boyfriend but I felt caught in the middle because I needed my hair done. Great Clips in Sonora, CA - I was overcharged, $10, for my haircut. My name was drawn for one of their promotions and was charged full price for my cut. I didn't realize it till the next day and so I called the store and explained the problem. I was told to come in and a note would be left for the manager. I did not make it in that night but came in the next day. At that point, I was told that the promotion expired the previous day and so they could not refund me the $10. The lady also lied in front of a bunch of customers by telling me she TOLD me I had to come in that night. She NEVER expressed any urgency that I had to be there by any time frame. Mistakes happen! The employee made the mistake and I should have been refunded. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have told everyone about this and asked them not to do business with this store. read more
