When is it okay for a stylist to take a 12 year old and cut her hair as the stylist sees fit. The stylist answer was "I asked her if she was okay with it". WTF. How many 12 year olds know what layers and framing your face means??? My GD said I want a little off the ends! Period! This know it all made the first cut before I had a chance to say what I wanted done! And it was a good 3 inches!!!!! Who does this? Then she proceeded to be obnoxious through the whole cut as if she were the best in the shop. I have not seen my gd head since the cut as she wears he hoodie and scowls.... You should be ashamed to have someone like this working in your shop. read more

The worst, went there when they opened after the covid. I wanted my hair trimmed & a few layers on the top to create volume, it is just hacked. Won't go there ever again. I should have waited to get a appointment at a real hair salon. read more

So I know what you are thinking....can you really get a good haircut for $12 bucks. I have proof that you can! I started working over by Great Clips, and one day I decided to give them a try. I told Brandi, the store manager about my horribly traumatic experience with an expensive foo foo salon that I will not name. She eased me into the process of letting someone else cut your hair and my fears are cured! I have since then had my hair cut twice by Jessica M. She is wicked with a razor and is definitely my favorite stylist at Great Clips. They also sell Biolage products and the whole Big Sexy Hair line, as well as their own Great Clips product line. I am currently addicted to the Tea Tree paste. read more

Been coming to this place for over a year for a trim on my long hair. I've had a different stylist each time and never had an issue, really satisfied, until my visit on 9/24/16. Always say the same "wants" ... a little framing of the face in front, a side part and clean up the ends. Remember, long hair? And I like it long! The stylist ignored my "wants" and proceeded to cut my hair in the manner she chose. Luckily I did speak up and haulted her "wispies" (her word for layering). And, just to confirm she hadn't heard a word I'd said, nor noticed my cane, I got a condescending remark from this stylist. I asked for a shampoo and conditioning with a trim. I received oily, choppy in the front and TRIMMED in the back hair. The only reason I am giving this establishment 2 stars is because of the many, prior, visits that were good. read more

My family and I Was a customer at this place for 3years since the time we moved here! Today my mom had a hair cut and the lady was cutting is Sharon! She was very rude! My mom can't speak English so I had to translate for her I just say that my mom wants her hair to be short and she was like yelling at my face and saying that's what they're doing and she knows what to do! Then she cut my mom's hair super short and one side is Bald now! My mom is very upset about it ! read more

I asked them to jut my daughters hair so it rested just below her chin and instead they cut it to her ear lobes. The cut was uneven and i think i could have done a better job at home. read more

My friends make fun of me for going here because it isn't as fancy as most salons. It's cheap... and that's why I like it. I like that it is right by my house and some days, I just want to have someone else wash my hair. To me, it feels just as good as a massage for next to no money. ;) I have long straight hair, and I usually only go in for a trim and wash. I've had a bunch of different stylists cut my hair and I thought they all did a great job. They don't do hair color here. If you're just looking for a quick hair cut that isn't too complicated, I highly recommend this location. If you're going for a drastic change (example: trading your long hair in for a pixie cut), you might want to go to a higher end salon. read more

got a decent haircut from a lady who was literally still learning to cut hair. the manager was patient with her and me helping her out. still turned out decent. went for another and got a good haircut from a very nice lady and had an enjoyable time. i would still be wary, i wouldn't necessarily trust everyone in there yet, but i'm skeptical about big chain hair cut places. read more

Don't ever go to Great Clips. They never ask questions about the choice you take, how far you want it cut, how much, nothing. Most of them are absolutely inexperienced amateurs that have the same authority as professionals, if you find them in the store. Overall, awful, go to a local store. Save yourself the trouble of not wanting to go outside because they destroyed your hair. read more

I am extremely unhappy with my most recent haircut from them. I clearly told the person cutting my hair that I wanted it cleaned up but still keep it longer. She said she understood and would start by just taking a little off and move down from there. Instead, she immediately cut it extremely short, only a couple lengths up from a buzz cut. As I had my glasses off, I was unable to tell how much she had taken off until the end. Hopefully, it'll grow out to where I had originally wanted it within a couple weeks. I will not be returning here to get my hair cut. read more

I've been taking my son to great clips for several years. His hair cut is so simple I could do it at home because only clippers are used but it seemed even simpler to have "professionals " do it instead. Lesson learned? Nothing is simple, you get what you pay for and they're not professionals. We were all in agreement that he wanted a trim and a clean up. We couldn't have been more clear and our stylist repeated what we wanted. He went in with a minimum of 2 inches of hair all over and came out with a 1/2 inch all over. My son's glasses were off and his back was to the mirror so he had no idea what was happening and he was seated in the far chair and he is 17 so I didn't feel the need to hover. The only fix is time.... Time for it to grow back and time for me to get used to him wearing a hat 24/7. We will never return. read more

I've gone to this great clips a few times now and it's usually okay. Decent price and decent people, usually. I used their application on my phone today to check in, waited 25 minutes to leave to get to my apt on time and showed up a few minutes early. At my arrival I was postponed another 20+ minutes or so and the hair dresser welcomes me with "You'll have to wait because there were a few people that came back." Now, usually I'm not accustomed to being an ass, but if I set an appointment on the application and then held back another 20+ minutes because more people show up... Wtf is the point of the application? I was disappointed and decided I didn't want to wait another half an hour and took my business elsewhere. Hope your experience is better while using their application, because it was pretty awful for me. read more

I wish my review was as happy as Sarah's....I wanted a TRIM, especially to neaten up the lower back of my head. I have a very flat head and need all the volume I can get/keep. I was VERY explicit about what I wanted and what I DIDN'T want. The guy started out great, then proceeded to ruin the line I DID have on the sides and top. He kept saying he was just neatening it all up, and I couldn't see what he was doing in the back. When I expressed concern over what he was snipping, he said he was just getting rid of dead ends. When he gave me the mirror and I looked, I was just about ready to cry. Hair grows. I'll live. But ALL the stuff I told him about volume, sexy, messy hair went out the window and I am stuck with an 'old lady haircut' until this grows out. I am extremely disappointed, won't be going back, I feel like I look like a dumpy old lady and I absolutely HATE this haircut. read more

I went to great clips know what kind of hair cut i wanted. I explained to the lady she told me she got it even showed me pictures in the book making she we understood each other. She ruined my hair. I understand it grows back but she cut one aide longer then the other. I had chunks of hair longer then the other I kept telling and mentioned what I saw and she kept telling me she will even it out it will be fine. It got to the point I had to leave. I was worried if she cut anymore I wouldn't have enough hair to even have it fixed. I called and spoke with someone about fixing it. They rudely told me to call later and that the manger won't be on until 3pm mind you I called at 10am. I then called another great clips in Taylor to see if they were connected to see what I could do. She heard my story and without thinking told me to come in there not charging me. The even kept saying how sorry she was and I explained what i asked for she even said how far off it was. I will never go back there. But the Taylor location has my business. read more
