This cute restaurant is located in Crown Point, IN, and it's best to use GPS to avoid getting lost. The venue is nice and perfect for photos, with plenty of space. The bar has a lively atmosphere, and the food is good, with large portions. I ordered the Classic Smashburger and substituted the protein for an Impossible Burger. I expected to receive two patties since I had to pay an additional $4.00. While it's my choice to be a pescatarian, I still think that an extra $4.00 for a single patty is excessive, both here and at any restaurant. This brought the price of my burger from $18.00 to $22.00, which reflects the current costs of dining out. Overall, our server was really nice and accommodating. She was patient with us as we decided on what to order and even shared her favorite dishes, which helped us make our decisions. The others in my party ordered a Mushroom & Swiss Smashburger and a Tuscan Turkey Sandwich. I must say, the turkey sandwich (Shaved Oven Roasted Turkey) had so much turkey on it that it could have fed us for Thanksgiving, but we weren't complaining! It was generous, and she happily took home the leftovers. The drink we had was blah, it had peach deep eddy's, elderflower liqueur (which I love), citrus and a few other ingredients. I'll pass on that the next time, I think it had too much elderflower and not enough peach. We all enjoyed our food and the ambiance of the restaurant. We will definitely return when we are in the area, and I will be sure to recommend this place to my friends who live nearby. Went to an office party that was held in the upstairs area. Upstairs venue is beautiful and they have a full bar in this area. Plenty of seating and nice coat rack. They fell short with the food buffet situation. Food was set up near stairway. Tables were set up across from each other and tables wrapped around the corner. The food was set up in the walkway which was very dark. It was difficult to see the food. I feel like they need to rethink the buffet set up. This was the same set up as last year's party. I have to say that there was plenty of food but, many of the party goers did not leave the bar. read more

Walking into this restaurant the inside looks really updated and overall top notch. After waiting for a hostess for about 10 minutes - we were greeted and brought to our seats on a Friday night. There were plenty of open seats. I ordered a double vodka lemonade in a short glass but it was all lemonade - huge disappointment. We also ordered another drink which was underwhelming as well. As for the meals we felt like they were old tasting. I had the crispy chicken ceasar wrap and the wrap tasted old and was kind of crunchy and the chicken was like a kids chicken nugget met with an over amount of crunchy garlic - would not get again. Iong story short my wife and I found out about this place after googling vegan food in the area. Sure enough they have a vegan menu (you have to ask for it) but straight away there are some problems. First things first: I appreciate the effort. It's nice that businesses even consider us as there just aren't that many vegans in The Region, never mind Crown Point. That said it's 2026, if you are going to offer me a vegan pizza you should have some kind of plant based cheese. There are like a dozen options at every grocery store. Also non vegan fries are not great, I mean how can adding milk to French fries make them better? I digress. We got burgers, I got the smash burger and my missus got the mushroom and garlic one. Mine was not smashed nor room temp and her burger arrived sans garlic or mushrooms. It was just plain. Oh and it took an hour for us to get this far. The waitress/bartender who waited on us was a champ. She got my wife a new burger with the quickness and even took some off the bill. If you'll allow me to go off on a tangent for a moment any time a kitchen related snafu ruins your experience it is *never* the server's fault and you should still tip them well. Where was I? No fries, cold food, and it took forever. Seems like a good place to tie one on if that's your thing? great find... i got my family to order the oyster mushroom app with me and they were not disappointed. i consider that a win however i unfortunately thought the shrooms were a bit overfried and too bready. i appreciate the veggie offering, however. this place is a dream for a vegan night out at a bar - i ordered the purple rain bowl and requested it over greens (vs. salad) and it did not disappoint. i could not convince my non-veg family to order the vegan carrot cake so they all shared a generous bowl of cookies and cream ice cream. awesome find amongst all the chains! read more

Hubby and I arrived around the noon hour and discovered no breakfast was served at that hour. Back to the menu, discovered the lunch menu, while varied, was more pricey than we usually pay. Bobbi Jo gave us plenty of time to decide and as I noticed several menu items included Chipotle or jalapenos asked about the Chicken Tango. Hubby ordered the Fish & Chips, which came with French Fries. He also ordered coffee. Although there were few other customers, the meals took quite a bit of time--fast food it's not. Hubby's fish and chips were amazing. The beer batter was perfect, large serving, and the fish delicate and tasty. His fries were also excellent. On the other hand, I discovered my chicken was highly seasoned and the heat was more than I could do. I shared some of his fish and chips. There's a 3% surcharge with use of a credit card so this meal for two exceeded $50 including tip. Doubt we'll try again. read more

I thought it was missing the grilled corn, but I found a few kernels of what tasted like canned corn at the bottom. So dissatisfied. I'd rather have a regular size salad with quality ingredients. My husband ordered the black bean burger off of the regular menu. Although it came out with vegan toppings, not quite what he ordered. It was just a morning star black bean patty. Nothing special. My husband and I were visiting family out this way and I've been wanting to try this place for a long time. I am so very glad we did because their food is so amazing. My daughter and her friends went to eat here on dec 23, the girls said the food took long and was cold. They cashed out, but later noticed there bill was higher then it should have been. My daughter called the restaurant and asked why she was charged gratuity on a 5 party table when the menu states gratuity is 6+, and why she was never informed about the gratuity. The person on the phone raised her voice and called her stupid and uneducated when she pointed out she shouldn't have been charged in the first place. We emailed the manager and the woman on the phone refused to let her speak to anyone else, and have gotten no response back. They could have just been honest and apologized, issue solved. Instead attempted to intimidate and threaten these young girls by telling them they would be "banned" and later on "banning" them. Completely unprofessional and inappropriate. read more

I stopped in to pick up some takeout for one of my nearby customers, but next time we're going to have to eat there. The menu is typical for most American Gastro pubs, with the addition of a Detroit style pizza section in their menu. The prices were on par for what you would pay in this type of establishment, so the value was fine. We ordered the fried oyster mushrooms with a garlic aïoli for an appetizer. The mushrooms were huge, and plenty enough to share with more than two people, but they were slightly on the greasy side. They were also fried whole, so each piece was so big that it was a bit overwhelming. I ordered the short rib grilled cheese, and my customer ordered a meatball Detroit style pizza. The short rib cheese was absolutely fantastic. The sandwich was huge, the short rib was tender, the bread was crusty and the cheese was super melty. It was a truly delicious sandwich. Unfortunately, my customers Detroit style pizza did not have a ton of flavor. I had a bite of his, and both the pizza sauce and meatball were really flavorless. The pizza itself was a good size, but it definitely needed some seasoning. The wrap and fries and a salad that had dried cherries, candied pecans, blu cheese, and chicken. After the fries and half of the sandwich I was too full to carry on. Walked into a restaurant that offers everything I need in a NEW regular stop when I stay in Crown Point! From my initial entry and welcoming host, past the bar on my way to the back rear dining area I noticed a very nice bar area, walls lined with plenty of Televisions, music playing at a tolerable volume, the lighting just bright enough to maintain the overall ambiance. Once seated, Kaikey S. went over the Happy Hour menu which offered a good mix of cocktails, craft beers, appetizers. I ordered a traditional Mule ($6) while I waited for my dinner guest to arrive before ordering the Meatball Appetizer ($9) which was about half the regular menu price. Once my guest arrived, they ordered a Margarita and we both split the meatball appetizer which came out shortly after, four medium sized meatballs in a very tasty marinara and garlic toast slices. We made our entree selections and I ordered a second Mule while my dinner guest ordered the Fish and Chips, I decided on the Short Rib Bolognese. When the fish arrived, I thought that I might have made the wrong choice but then the large portion of Short Rib Bolognese arrived and I was sure that I chose well. Overall, every aspect of this dinner from the atmosphere, mood, drinks, the appetizer and the entrees were all of 5 star quality. My friend ordered the steak nachos and those were absolutely incredible as well! For the main, we both had salads because , salad lol! I had the Baja salad and they had the Misfits Tossed Salad. My salad came with grilled skirt steak, mixed greens, avocado,grilled corn,crispy lime strips, red onions, grape tomatoes and spicy ranch . I substituted for the regular and that was an excellent decision because that ranch was DIVINE. The tossed salad comes with mixed greens, grilled chicken, red onions, bleu cheese, candied pecans and blueberry vinaigrette. I honestly wanted a bottle of the vinaigrette to take home. It's so unique and flavorful . Your portions are going to be almost overwhelming, but you absolutely get your moneys worth! Alyssa was perfect and made sure we had everything we needed and came to check on us several times, we also had someone stop over to see how things were going (I'm assuming she may have been the manager or owner ?) I had high hopes. We went in on a week night and the wait was about 1.5 hours. I was thinking... yay! This place MUST be worth waiting for but no. I am definitely willing to try again BECAUSE they are new but our food was just okay. The pizza came out super late (which our server did say it would take longer but it was WAY longer than the time frame she quoted) and it was burnt. I'm willing to say that possibly the kitchen was busy that night and I do give grace for that otherwise this would be a two star review and I wouldn't be willing to try again. My biggest issue was actually our server. She wanted to give me a refill on my drink. Great. I needed a refill but then asked me to take my straw so she could refill my glass. We hadn't been served plates yet or even silverware cuz our appetizers hadn't come out yet. Look. Either just bring me a fresh glass or bring me a plate or SOMETHING to put my straw on so I don't have to put it on your table and then reinsert into my mouth. They do not have a lot for parking.
