The elk was cooked perfectly, but needed a more acidic sauce....though tasty, the sauce was a little too sweet, taking away from the elk flavor. The Bison short rib was amazing in this game trip, with the quail, again....cooked well, but not the best flavor. My filet was perfect, and I loved the contrast of the wasabi mashed potatoes. Oh, and sorry...that picture came out blurry. My mom's choice couldn't be made, so the manager and chef accommodated her by altering a dish to something she thoroughly enjoyed. Very cool of them. Our server was attentive, and our water and soda glasses were constantly refilled without being asked. Service was incredible. Definitely a once in awhile/special occasions type place for us normal people...but would happily return

Mother's day brunch was a mess for $800…read more Entrees and service wasn't worth the units. For nearly $100 per person, rib steak that was sous vide to medium, then served nearly well done and completely undersalted is unacceptable for a restaurant asking for this much coin. The steak sandwich was completely reliant on the aoli sauce between the dry ciabatta bread, and again showcasing how underwhelming the steak was by being undersalted. One of our dishes was completely forgotten, and had to be followed up on. Surrounding tables had similar issues. Eggs benedict with smoked salmon was a hit The starter salads / french onion soup and desserts were tasty, with the banana / blueberry bread pudding and tres leches cake being the stars. Avoid this after-thought of a brunch if you can, stick to their dinner menu and enjoy the incredible ambiance that is Saddle Peak Lodge. What a disaster though! For $800, Fogo de Chao, Maestros, Flemmings, even a drive to Alexanders in Pasadena would of been memorable. Shoot, should of just gone to Lure for the 10,000th time, at least it would of offered the same boring consistency. Super disappointed in Saddle Peak Lodge, as my family and I come here 1-2 times a year for dinner. Sadly this experience sums up why their over-all Yelp score is 3.5 stars now, and I'm sadly adding fuel to the fire for what once was one of my favorite restaurants.

They went out of their way to accommodate our needs to make sure our guests have a great experience. All the best things: - The house is beautifully decorated. Mary is a talented interior designer with an elegant taste in furniture. The house has many WOW elements. You have to be there to feel the amazingness. - Mary and Will are extremely kind and responsible. Our party rental person arrived the evening before without notice and Will handled everything for us. - The house faces the ocean. - It's intimate and private. After putting up the canopies, the place looks even better than before. My family dropped their jaw after when they arrived. - Mary and Will are capable to plan your wedding of any budget. They will make sure you don't miss any details. - They have a list of vendors and very knowledgeable. - The rate is very reasonable for a beach house wedding. (Resource: I researched all beach houses in So-Cal for a month.) Seriously, please go and check it out. They are the best thing that happened to our wedding.

Incredible location that you have to see to believe/appreciate. The view is a 10 and the house is first class. I believe they limit the amount of events so consider yourselves lucky if you can get this place. I have seen quite a few locations in the area and this place is a gem.

The space is lovely. Lily, our server, was fantastic!!! I will definitely ask for her next time. They have a wonderful wine selection which we paired with the focaccia and pizza butter. Do yourself a favor and order it! It's amazing!!!! For dinner we had the filet mignon, which was perfectly cooked with the zhoug on top which gave the filet a delightfully different flavor than your regular steak. We also had the carrot curry scallops. They were out of this world! The noise level is perfect, so you can have an actual conversation!! The motto of The Mulholland is "please call again" and I will definitely be calling again and again!!!

The service we received was also excellent, thanks especially to our server, Blake, who really made the experience more enjoyable. Star of the Night: Without a doubt, the focaccia was the best I've ever had. Perfectly fluffy, flavorful, and truly next-level. The pizza butter was a nice touch, though not as memorable as the bread itself. Appetizers: * Caesar Salad: I wasn't a fan of the presentation with the large anchovies on top. I don't mind anchovies in the dressing, but having them laid out on the salad wasn't appetizing. * Tempura Mushrooms: Great flavor, but they were overly fried, making them a bit too hard and masking the mushroom itself. The sauce that came with them was delicious, but there wasn't enough of it to balance out the crispiness. * Grilled Shrimp: Unfortunately, this one missed the mark. The plating was very plain compared to the other dishes, and the flavors just didn't come through. It felt like the dish could use a serious upgrade. * Hamachi Crudo: This was a highlight! The passion fruit purée paired beautifully with the fish, though the extra oil on the plate caused separation and made it hard for the sauce to stick. A small tweak here would make it perfect. Entrees: This is where the meal lost momentum. After the apps, it took about 30-45 minutes for the mains to arrive, which felt unnecessarily long since the full order had been placed upfront. By the time they arrived, the dishes themselves didn't really deliver. * Scallop Curry: Decent flavor, but the scallops could have used a much better sear to really shine. Something about the plate felt a little off-balance. * Pappardelle with Short Rib Ragu: The pasta noodles were well-made, but the short rib lacked depth of flavor and tenderness. It seemed undercooked for what should have been a slow-braised, melt-in-your-mouth kind of meat. Overall, the dish was bland and uninspired. Drinks & Dessert: I skipped the cocktails because none really stood out, but the glass of wine I ordered was excellent. We also passed on dessert after waiting so long for the entrees. Final Thoughts: The restaurant has a lot of potential, the ambiance is beautiful, the focaccia is unforgettable, and the service (thanks to Blake) was wonderful. But the rest of the menu felt inconsistent, with several dishes needing more attention to detail in both flavor and presentation. I'm glad I finally tried it, but for me, the focaccia and service were the true highlights of the night.

The little outside play area they have for kids is so cute! When I was walking the grounds, I just felt at peace. There is plenty of seating. I learned that they do summer concerts here and I would LOVE to check one of those out! Honestly I wish I knew about this venue when I got married. I definitely would have considered it! Prices seem very fair and they include close to everything (chairs, linens etc). Parking is limited but they have shuttle companies they work with for larger events. Staff was very friendly too! Looking forward to my next visit.

Too bad I can't leave a review less than 1…read more It came to my attention that, after my wife and MINOR children got undressed in their bridal suite that there was a surveillance camera on the wall of the suite. How they could have a camera in there, to this day, without complaints is astonishing to me. I tried to calmly address this issue with the front desk (before coming here) only to be met with absolute absurdity. The lady managing the desk saw no issue with it and said the camera is there to make sure nobody "damages the room", I argued that we don't want damage in changing rooms and bathrooms but we don't put cameras in them... she didn't understand my correlation, and argued that it's of no concern. I didn't take a photo of the camera, but having looked back on the venues photos of past events, you can see the camera on the wall in that suite for years. Why can't it be hidden during events? Why aren't there signs posted that the bridal suite where everyone is changing is being recorded? Who has access and can monitor that footage? Recommendation: hide the camera when people are changing or provide an alternative location for people to change. If you can't provide a safe space for people to undress without recording them maybe don't hold events. Demand: Delete all past footage that this camera has collected immediately.
