After coming home I realized what happened I was so upset that an important part of my smile that hold a cultural significance is completely wiped. The doctor insists that this is not an intentional lightening of my gum although they clearly said to me that they've "removed some hyperpigmentation" but also they never mentioned in my consultation that this was a possibility nor was it indicated in the consent form. I consulted with a different periodontist after the fact and after reviewing my consent form, that makes no mention of lighter gum as an outcome of a crown lengthening, they suspect that this may have been done, because to some, a lighter gum is "aesthetically preferred". Gum lightening maybe the "in thing" to do right now but I absolutely didn't consent to it. In fact I hate my results so much that I wish I never altered my original smile. I recommend anyone who wouldn't want alterations to their smile on a whim of a doctor to avoid this place.

As a courtesy I sent my insurance information to her, and for 16 days heard nothing back. Finally, 3/23/2023 I called again and spoke to Ana who in a passive aggressive way said they wouldn't call the insurance company. I finally asked for the office manager to call me back, and she did an hour later; she said once I had the consultation they would do a predetermination of cost. As a potential client why would I involve myself further in the process if you aren't able to confirm with insurance on coverage? Also, why are you as office managers and staff employed if you aren't able to facilitate new business? I called you, you literally paid nothing for this lead and I'm insured. This dentist is probably amazing but the staff in the office needs to be better.

I feel like me and my husband were scammed at this office because the front desk workers scanned my…read morehusband and my insurance card and we were under the impression that our insurance was being charged, and we were only gonna have to pay a co-pay, they never once informed us that we were not in network with them and when they seen us, I felt like I was being treated very rudely the dental assistant seemed like she was not paying any attention to me. She sat my husband in the chair, ask him a lot of questions not once set me in there. She took me to do my x-ray and jerked my neck when we return to the room, I was sitting in a chair in the corner. She not once set me in the dentist chair to check my teeth out or anything, and once the dentist came in The dental assistant was on the computer put in the numbers in for the while the dentist was telling her about my husband's teeth, and then once the dentist done with my husband she asked me to sit in the dentist chair when I got in the dentist chair the dental assistant got up and left out of the room, and then she came back and said she was going to go help someone else and I thought her job was to assist the dentist. The dental assistant gave me the impression that she was racist because my husband is Hispanic and I am an African-American female, and she also sat there flirting with my husband in my face so what kind of a dental assistance is she she should be ashamed of herself, and she should be removed from her practice if she's gonna be racist against people and flirt with the patients. she's in the wrong job position. I pay $185 for nothing because they didn't do anything for me. I had informed them that I had been spitting pus out in the morning and when I said that the dental assistant wrinkled her nose up at me. I informed the dentist about it me spitting the pus assume that the dentist would prescribed me a anabiotic all she said was if we need anabiotic to call them and they will send one over for us. I would've assumed that while I was in her office she would have sent me an antibiotic prescription over to the pharmacy for me. I had informed them that I was spitting out Puss in the morning. I guess all they wanted was my money. I will tell you one thing I will never ever step one foot in that racist Dental office ever again.
