I get the shabby chic thing but a shabby salad? This was my 8.50 chopped salad. This actually isn't a chopped salad. But the people are really nice.

$18 for three palm-sized sliders. Not exactly worth worth the price.

I brought my parents for a special meal on a Sunday evening. We made a reservation for 6:30, got there ten minutes early and were sat down immediately. Our orders were taken pretty quickly. We received our appetizers, which were very expensive and only okay. The only ones that were good were the pre-prepared ones, like the oxtail (though the gnocchi that came with it was really bad). However, once we were done with our appetizers, we did not receive our mains for nearly two hours. The waiter did come over to apologize three times and each time said our order was fired and should be ready soon each time. We asked if they could bring out some bread for the table in the meantime, and they brought out old, stale, likely frozen rolls. They were barely edible. When we did get our food, the rare duck breast that I had ordered was well done. Furthermore, half the breast was missing...probably went into their eggrolls. My father's chicken was so hard it had to be cut with a steak knife, and my the red snapper had so much salt on it that it made the tender fish inedible. The rice served with it was mushy. My girlfriend ordered sliders (image attached), which are actually offered as an appetizer and they were nice enough to give us two extra to make it a main. Although they were most definitely not as nice as other pictures I've seen of this dish, they were okay. The brisket in them was actually pretty tasty. This really went badly when I called over the waiter to let him know that my duck was overcooked and asked him to take it back. I'd already lost my appetite after waiting two hours for overcooked food, and asked that they just take it back, and that I would instead eat from the other plates at the table. The waiter went over and talked to the manager, who came to our table. He apologized and asked if I'd like to order anything off the menu. I told him I wasn't interested. He was soon joined by the owner, who incredulously asked if I'd ordered *rare* duck. I told him that ordering duck rare is very common, and if they offer it on the menu they should know how to prepare it. The owner argued that the duck looked rare to him. As I explained to him, the duck was not rare at all. The chef had rendered the fat cap of the duck breast, and the way they butchered their duck breast left a disproportionate amount of duck fat to meat. As a result, the thin slab of duck meat should have been seared gently for 30 seconds max, which clearly wasn't done because the meat was both gray and rubbery. I would have taken a picture, but I had told the waiter to take it off as soon as I got it. I did offer to have the owner bring the duck breast back to show him, but he wasn't interested and walked off. Mind you, this is a meal they were charging over $200 for. Their only redeeming quality was the waiter. The owner is a clown with too much money to spend and no culinary or service understanding. The manager, while apologetic, had no idea how to handle confrontation and wouldn't actually admit to any fault, only apologized for our "disappointing experience". We did get free dessert though, and 20% off our bill, but at that point, I really wasn't interested. For a meal in that price range, I did not expect to have to go home and cook my own food to have a proper dinner. If you want to have a high-quality steak meal, avoid the $200+ cost of this establishment and make your own dinner at home.

Really delicious assortment of tapas on the menu & an amazing wine selection! Unique atmosphere, a loft space housed in a former industrial complex from the early 1800s. Had the Brisket Sliders with Truffle Fries, Tuscan Focaccia with Crispy Prosciutto and Butcher Block Charcuterie Antipasto, was absolutely fabulous and worth every penny! Great Falls Bistro does not disappoint. One of a kind space in NJ. Charm galore!

It was really refreshing and perfect for a warm day. For entrees, we ordered the short rib hash, chicken and waffles, and the steak and eggs. I had a little of each, but my favorite was the short rib hash. Great flavor and the sauce was fantastic. The steak had a perfect cook on it, and the fried chicken was crispy and flavorful as well. The server was friendly and extremely attentive. He recommended a good dessert which we ended up splitting. When in doubt go with the chocolate brownie Esther vanilla ice cream !

We didn't have a reservation, but they were still able to seat us in the dining room as long as we could wrap up before 1:30, which we appreciated. I wasn't super hungry so we shared the crispy cauliflower and lamb ribs from the appetizer menu. The crispy cauliflower was excellent -- hot, actually crispy, and not drowning in sauce which I really appreciated. The lamb ribs came over labneh (a yogurt base) and the first plate arrived with the lamb cold. I asked our waitress if that was intentional and she said only the labneh should be cold. They immediately replaced it with a fresh order and handled it really well, which I appreciated. Great service recovery and overall a really enjoyable brunch spot with a lively atmosphere.

From start to finish, the staff and manager were absolutely phenomenal. The service was attentive, organized, and warm, especially impressive given the size of our group. What truly set this experience apart was when our daughter's graduation cake unfortunately fell and was ruined. Without hesitation, the manager went out personally and purchased a replacement cake for her. That level of kindness, professionalism, and genuine care is rare and deeply appreciated. To top it all off, the bill for 25 people was very affordable, making the night even more enjoyable and stress-free. Rumba Cubana turned what could have been a disappointing moment into a truly memorable celebration. When I told my mom where we were going her reaction- "omg that place is still around?!? It use to be excellent back in the day!" Well I am happy to report this place is just as good today as it was during my mother's heyday. I decided to get a few oysters and clams to start off with and everything was just so fresh. As an entree the Seafood in a spicy red sauce was easily one of the best I have had in a very long time. There was a generous amount of seafood within the dish, the sauce I swear I could just drink it out of a cup and the pasta was cooked perfectly. My husband got the bbq ribs which I didn't try but you could see how they just slid right off the bone and he couldn't stop talking about how good they were. We ended our meal with some strong espresso. I enjoyed how it is a very casual atmosphere with a nice bar area that had a few TVs to watch some sports games. No need to dress to impress. The service was a little bit on the slower side but the waitress was very nice. The man who brought out my oysters, I asked him which were the east coast and which where in the west coast oysters, along with asking him where in the west coast my oysters were from and he couldn't tell me. I just think a place should just know these things is they are selling them. Nonetheless we still really enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to return.

North Jersey offers a diverse, high-quality seafood scene, ranging from upscale Mediterranean-style fish markets to casual, beloved neighborhood spots. Situated less than 2.5 miles from MetLife Stadium, Biggie's has been a neighborhood institution located off of Route 17 South in Carlstadt and is best known for its clams-on-the-half-shell and wide selection of beers on tap. My partner, our friends, and I have been to this family-owned establishment numerous times and decided to have dinner last night. The reservation was easily made via OpenTable. Upon entering this casual vibe, we were greeted by the host. There is a lively sports bar side full of TVs and a dining room side, where we got a booth immediately by the window. Their menu has a wide array of options, rivaled only by the countless photographs and mementos that fill nearly every inch of wall space. There are many sandwiches, a half-dozen salads, thin-crust pizzas, and a substantial range of pastas. For starters, we decided on two dozen East Coast oysters on a half shell and Steamed Mussels with white wine butter broth. A side of Italian bread was brought for dipping. As a main meal, we opted for the Turkey Chili, Baby Back Ribs, Fried Calamari, Caesar salad, and Fries. The food was excellent and delicious, using the freshest ingredients. The portions were healthy. The staff went out of their way to make one feel welcome, creating a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Our server was Hadiyah. The price was reasonable.
