In the early 80's, I got a carpet remnant from Great Floors in octagon design bluish color, with foam back, I decided to call and ask if they could text me photos of such & such, provided colors, style that I need. Almost right away, I got a text back from one of their staff, and found one I really wanted, similar to the style as my company logo in the colors I like. We went there right away, and was able to have me cut enough material for our stairs. I mean ENOUGH, since we're matching designs. Very very happy with the purchase. Not only, my basement stairs looked elegantly rich, we have ENOUGH to carpet the top of the stairs, which is the hallway (just like before). That's like buying 2 for the price of one. Rich sent out a guy to measure the spaces, and checked to see which samples had enough of a remnant for our needs. We put down a deposit to hold the carpet until the house was ready for the install. Fast forward from March to August: the house was ready for carpet install, and Rich got us scheduled in right away. The job was done quickly and professionally. The guys left the areas clean and ready for staging. Looks fabulous, and we are very pleased!

I'll keep this as brief as possible and stick to the facts. Macadam installed new carpet for us. It…read morewasn't a small job: we paid around $13k for it. We worked with Angel in the office, Sean in the field, and Jessica ran the carpet crew that performed the install. The morning of the install, Sean informed us they couldn't find the carpet. They lost the carpet! We had the house all boxed up, our dog and kids were away for the day, and we even had professional movers over to help disassemble and move a large entertainment center. Macadam eventually found our carpet, but two weeks had passed by the time it was able to get installed. This was not the only issue we had with Macadam. First, the crew took pictures of themselves pretending to play my son's guitar (and other similar pictures with our things). Jessica said they take pictures like that sometimes for their professional social media accounts. It made me very uncomfortable. Second, they damaged and repaired our bedroom door and never told us. The repair work is highly visible (at least it's low on the door). Third, there are visible seams in the carpet. Fourth, when they attempted to repair the seams, they asked if they could cut carpet from another part of the house to use in the repair. We said no. They ignored our wishes and cut carpet from several rooms when we weren't around. We know this because (a) they left carpet scraps from the cutting and (b) the area where the carpet meets the wall looks worse than before. Fifth, the carpet they cut from was in rooms with closed doors, including a bedroom and walk-in closet with laundry and pets. They entered closed off rooms without asking and performed work we said not to do. Sixth, even after the repair, there are still visible seams in the carpet. Seventh, we let Angel know about all these issues and Macadam offered what we consider to be an inappropriately small reduction to our bill (including a small cash discount and not charging us for moving furniture). FWIW, our interior designer, who has a lot of experience working on projects like this, thought a 50% reduction in the total bill was appropriate just based on the hassle caused by the lost carpet (ripple effect with other projects we had going on). She didn't know about any of the other issues when she made that statement. Given that the quality of the work was far below our expectations, the incompetence around losing the carpet, directly ignoring our wishes w/r/t cutting the carpet, and the invasion of privacy from entering closed rooms and taking pictures with our belongings, we will not use Macadam for a carpet project again. Moreover, I wouldn't let anyone from that crew back in my house for any reason. Two stars because even though this project fell far below our expectations, it's still nice carpet.

Received the estimate a day or two later and it was reasonable. Fast forward to March 2026. I reached out to them because I was ready for them to work the project. The estimate stayed the same as it was in fall of last year and I scheduled the new flooring. They came right on time they were efficient kind and communicative. They finished within two business days and my floor looks fantastic. I highly recommend this company for anybody's flooring needs. 10 out of 10 highly recommend.

Mike came over and spent a lot of time with me and helped me fix the problem. He was knowledgeable, very careful and made sure to test an area in my pantry to make sure that the floor looked good. He found a solution that eliminated all of the scratches on our floor and provided a very reasonable price quote to do a screening and cover the floor with a new layer of sealer. I was very impressed by Mike, I found him to be honest and knowledgeable. I would hire him in a heartbeat and highly recommend him!

Mike did an incredible job completely overhauling the floors in my 100+ year old home. I don't know…read morehow it ranks vs "normal" hardwood restoration projects, but it seemed pretty complicated to me. It involved not only sanding and refinishing, but leveling the kitchen floors and lacing in new wood with the old in multiple places, several patches, installing all new baseboards, and some creative problem-solving to work the quarter round around the floor vents. He also built a new cover for my crawl space entry to match the flooring around it. Throughout the job, Mike was responsive, friendly, patient, respectful, and worked with a high level of integrity and transparency. He was genuinely fantastic to work with - I never felt like I was being brushed off or taken advantage of (as opposed to some other contractors I've encountered). He finished the job on time and on budget and I'd absolutely hire him again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone who needs flooring install/updates!

The price was fair & the new carpet was perfectly installed by Eco's contractor, Neves Carpet Services. The installation included moving a lot of heavy furniture, which was done by the installers - very efficient. The installers replaced the furniture & cleaned thoroughly at job completion. So much so we wanted them to do much more.. That's when we found out the business had been sold. We recently contacted them to replace flooring in a few other rooms of our large home and were shocked by the rudeness of the grilling of the woman who answered the phone and the rude and aggressive manner of the new owner who called back for details that we couldn't possibly give over the phone which is why we agreed to pay the $100 fee for them to come out to give an estimate - the owner then refused to come out - rudely saying they're too busy to come out and basically refused our business....which at this point we would not have given them anyway
