Unfortunately, they do not stand by their work. I went by and scheduled a repair on my LVF as well as carpet. They were great. Very helpful. A guy came and seemed to know exactly what he was doing. But a week or 2 later part of the work deteriorated. Things happen; I was sure they could make it right. I went thru 3 rounds of "don't call us, we'll call you" phone calls before giving up. I hired someone else who quickly fixed it. I did not even talk about money with Carpet Outlet, maybe we could have come to some sort of agreement. Disappointed. Needed carpet for two small bedrooms in a house I inherited and was putting on the market to sell. My Realtor suggested we call Carpet Outlet and inquire about remnants, and she went to pick up some samples for us, as we live out of state. Rich sent out a guy to measure the spaces, and checked to see which samples had enough of a remnant for our needs. We put down a deposit to hold the carpet until the house was ready for the install. Fast forward from March to August: the house was ready for carpet install, and Rich got us scheduled in right away. The job was done quickly and professionally. First of all, it was an unexpected we'll be doing carpet work, during winter and during a pandemic! After driving 3 places for carpeting, we ended up here at this outlet. Right away, we were greeted by a charming, friendly man at the front counter, and welcomed us in to browse to the section of remnants, after telling him our needs. I spotted what I wanted right away, but he let us browse other patterns, from cut-out sample sizes on a table. My husband, who is some-sort of a fashion savvy, decided on the first remnant we saw, so in order to just pick another fight, I went along with him, so we can go & finish the job (he started), and be ready on time for Christmas! (He is doing this for me, btw. All together now: Awwww!) The charming man who was helping us, finished our transaction, with some pointers and because of the fast service and feeling satisfied, I decided to write him a 4-star review on Yelp! Thank you! I don't know how this company is getting high reviews. I wish I could give zero stars. We hired them to carpet one room with the intention of hiring them to eventually carpet our entire home. Rich Jolly said he would match the color of the old carpet as close as possible. We paid $800.00 for a small room and the color was absolutely not "closely matched". Our old carpet is a dark tanish-brown, the carpet they "matched as close as possible" is a very very light cream color. Night and day. We've had two contractors come to our home for estimates. One was shocked and the other laughed. My family has owned a contracting business in another state for 50 years. I sent them pictures and they stated: "it looks like they used left over carpet from another job." We called Rich Jolly to fix the problem or refund the $800.00. We never heard back from him or a company representative. We took our crawl-space cover to Lowes and they match it. The are coming to do a couple rooms until we decide move in. I wish I had known about carpet outlet before I purchased my carpet from Home Depot. Moving from Arizona, I thought buying big box store was going to be the easiest way to go. Boy was I wrong. Home Depot, you can purchase your carpet there but that's it. There's absolutely no person to help you through the project management. After three weeks, they finally advised me that my carpet had not been shipped in time. No one was willing to help. That's when I called and reached out to carpet outlet in Portland. Atrociously bad service! worked with Rich Jolly who was nice and cordial enough over the phone. Paid in advance, confirmed the time and details 3x. installation day came and ... no show. Rich wouldn't answer the phone and didn't return my call until the next day when, we'll try to get someone out there.. half way through the day ONE installer shows up, "whoa big job, it's going to take the whole day just to rip this carpet out, i'll have to come back tomorrow to install. he arrives the next day but can't lift the carpet into the house or up the stairs. i volunteer to help as there are tenants with a uhaul waiting to move in parked out front. One guy! takes him until 10:30pm to get the job ... ummm, done? shit job, terrible quality, left the job site a disaster. i paid $2000+ for two rooms of budget carpet. go elsewhere! read more

Very unpleasant experience! The carpet that I chose was very plush and although the installer came to the house to measure, there was NO indication that I may have to do some carpentry on the bottom of my doors so that they close. In fact, I was there during the entire job and it wasn't until he left that he informed me that I had brand new carpets, but the doors could not be hung. When I called to express my dissatisfaction they were completely unprofessional and even mocked my accent when I asked them to take some responsibility for this unfinished job. They did not take responsibility and said that it was my problem. I pointed out that I was not a carpet expert and that I was expecting FULL service- including their professional perspective. The job was more than just buying the carpet... and they did not deliver. In my opinion it was unfinished and I did not witness any professionalism or friendliness that other reviewers wrote. I have purchased carpet here twice. The selection has inexpensive, lower quality remnants as well as high end lush remnants. I did find what I wanted on two occasions yet I wish it was even bigger. Nevertheless it is thankfully well organized by size. The staff allowed us to take two huge remnants out into the sun to check paint color chips for a sun room. The have the right equipment for cutting pad and carpet and competent people who do it. read more

Best prices anywhere! We bought a foreclosure and completely renovated on a very tight budget. I checked out prices at every carpet place in Portland Metro area before finding this one. They were by far the cheapest, large selection, great qualtiy and the staff are all super helpful. After getting our carpet(heavy, nice Frieze), we ended up buying tile for our kitchen and bathroom floors there too. Our contractor told us for the price we paid the product would be crappy, but then when he saw it he was really impressed! He said the tile was great quality and would have sold for an additional $3-4 a sf at the place he shops. They also have laminate and hardwood too. read more
