    Classic ham and cheese

My wife suggested we try a new place (new to us) for lunch. Great Harvest Bread was the place! I'll be honest, the name didn't do a lot for me, but when we entered the shop, I knew this would be a Great place! First take: Tons of gift ideas for everyone Friendly folks Relaxing atmosphere When we were asked if this was our first time, a young lady offered us free samples! We had the bread pudding and the apple cinnamon bread. Excellent X 2 We ordered the classic ham and cheese and a tuna sandwich. We added chips, drink and then a blueberry scone. The choices of bread along with the freshness of sandwiches were perfect. They don't make it, until you order it! We will definitely be back and try different menu items. Breakfast all day. If you are ever in Tyler, Texas, give Great Harvest Bread a try. Go get Full

On our way through Tyler, we stopped here based on the reviews. All 5 stars - 16 reviews. Conveniently located on Broadway, there is indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating has plenty of cover to combat that Texas heat. If this is your first time, tell them and you get to sample some spotlighted items. I tried the rosemary bread; wife-lemon bar. The menu has a smattering of sandwiches, baked goods, and beverages. We were there for the breakfast sandwiches. We ordered three different ones (see attached photo). Mine was the kickstart. Egg, pepper jack cheese, bacon, and tomato on sourdough bread. All bread is baked fresh daily and is ready at 9:00 am. Merchandise included: jams, salsa, breads, seasonings, mugs, tea towels, and even dog treats. The food was delivered to the table in about 10 minutes. We dove right in. Exclamations in unison all around. Fantastic!!! There was a sweetness to my bacon that made the sandwich. Egg not too runny, bread toasted perfectly. This was one of the best breakfasts I've had at a restaurant in a while. I am happy to add my 5 star review to the mix. You will not be disappointed. Give it a try. Bon appetit Yelpers.

There's plenty of nice local establishments, but some can be pricey and some are just more casual than you want. Scott Williams has perfected the restaurants of Tyler that are balanced between affordable and still quite nice. He got his toes in the water with FDs, before expanding into Javi's, Twelve, and now the fanciest of them all in III Palms. I thought of all those options, Twelve would be the most unique and tasty for my girlfriend and I. We went in an hour before they closed on a Sunday and were seated immediately. We weren't too hungry so we didn't expect to be there past their closing time, and we were ready to go. Our waiter was quick and attentive, bringing us water and helping us decide on drinks from the bar and our order. He also showed us their insane over-the-top whiskey menu. If you like whiskey, give Twelve a shot I guess. To order, I just got their 'Osaka Style' Pressed Roll while my girlfriend got a Sushi Bowl Salad. We got Sweet Potato Fries to share. As for drinks, I started with their Monkey See, Monkey Do, an impressive and firm beverage, while my girlfriend ordered their Destin Dream, a fun Pina Colada-like drink. It wasn't long before our food came out. The sushi was beautifully plated with some wasabi and pickled ginger on the side. I destroyed all the rolls. They were all very fresh and very high quality, which was remarkable for their $13.50 price tag. My girlfriend's sushi bowl looked insane. She ate most of it, but I filled the gaps and devoured the rest of it. The sweet potato fries were crispy and heavenly like all sweet potato fries usually are. I felt adventurous and I got a second drink of their Rose Garden, which was simple but flavorful. Compared to FDs, the menu might be a little more sea-inspired and more adventurous, but I think it leads to better, more unique food, especially with offerings like Oyster Rockefeller and a sushi bar. I also know Twelve does a great brunch as well, so keep that on your radar. Ultimately, as the bill came, the price was very manageable even with the alcohol. It's nice that you don't fully have to break the bank to have a nice meal in Tyler thanks to places like Twelve. I rate it a 12/10. Get it? hahahaha... RIYL: A slightly adventurous, but affordable night out.

We were seated immediately at a clean table - no last minute wipe down that leaves the table sticky - our server was quick to take our drink orders and not pushy to get our food orders. The menu is very extensive so it took the man a couple more minutes to decide but as soon as I saw that double BLT sandwich I knew that was going in my belly! He ordered a meat lovers skillet, it seemed to us a small serving with more potatoes than meat, but he said it was tasty. I ordered the double BLT with candied pepper bacon. It was an exquisite sandwich. The bread was toasted to a beautiful crunch, the meat, tomatoes, lettuce were a good ratio to the bread. The aoli was good, too... not too sweet or hot, just full of flavor. This BLT was also BIG... I hate half and he ate the inners of the other half. He said for diner coffee it was really good and had four mugs! I had Diet Coke. You pay at the table. Our server was attentive and the food was good, the diner was very clean - even the glass doors. Will go again when we're down in Tyler.
