It felt elegant but still welcoming and comfortable. The food was amazing across the board. There was a small mix-up with one of the dishes, but with a large party those things happen, and the staff handled it well. This was my first time visiting The Grove and it definitely won't be my last. We went on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was lively. They have a few dining options to choose from including the bar/lounge area, in-door dining and outdoor patio areas. We started in the bar/lounge area while waiting for a seat outdoors so we could enjoy the weather and live music. Our server was very nice and honest- even when he hadn't tried a dish he told us how others rated it. We shared the SEARED AHI TUNA appetizer and added an additional side of bread 8/10 (it honestly should come with more!) Each ordered the THAI GINGER COCONUT SALMON which I am still thinking about! 10/10 The portions were generous and I saved 1/2 to make room for dessert. I was glad to enjoy leftovers the next day. We do not eat here often. I guess because there are so many other places to try. However, it has been consistently good. Big portions for the price. Not cheap but we get two meals out of an entree so worth it. The popular appetizer of mini filet mignons in pastry is not our favorite. They were soggy and lacked flavor. But that was the only disappointment. The Halibut special was excellent! Served over ricotta ravioli and big! The chicken snitzel with a lemony sauce was even better and also enormous. The pozole soup and lobster bisque were both excellent! A meal by themselves really. We brought lunch home for the next day. We typically eat on the patio but weather did not permit. The interior dining can be noisy but we did not feel crowded. Recommend skipping brunch and coming at 3:00 for the dinner full menu. We came to the bar here on a Thursday night and had the whole place to ourselves. The ambience inside is dark and moody, and it was very elegant. I love the aesthetic of the display cabinets. We got cocktails for about $13 each plus tip. I had the Garnet, which is a sweet vodka cocktail, and my friend got the Secret Garden, which is a Moscow mule with berry. This is definitely a place to enjoy for the vibes and probably just get a drink or two. I have heard the food is quite expensive here. We were in town for a wedding and were told to eat here by multiple locals when asking Sunday brunch recommendations before heading back home. The Grove seems like a lot of things. There's a few different indoor dining areas, an indoor bar with more relaxed seating, an outdoor patio dining area, a live music mini amphitheater that had a solo lady serenading our Sunday brunch, and there's a large venue building and outdoor area off to the side. We sat outside in the patio area because the weather was perfect, and enjoyed the free show while sampling their brunch menu. Service was very personable and attentive, and I noticed it wasn't just our server. It looked like they put a lot of focus on making diners feel welcome, helping them navigate the menus, joking with the tables, answering questions, etc. The brunch menu had the greatest hits you'd expect and both of our choices came out quickly and tasty. Their cocktail menu has some great concoctions as well if you're looking for something spirited to go along with your eggs. Long story short, from our out of towner one visit perspective, I'd tell others to check out The Grove if you're in Tyler and looking for some good food and service in a beautiful surrounding. read more

The appetizers were pretty good but a little messy and hard to eat. The live music was nice. I was faced with a predicament that most men face at least once in their life - where to eat dinner after your propose to your girlfriend. While the Grove is the not the nicest restaurant in town, it happened to be the spot that me and said girlfriend shared our first date years ago. I thought it would be a great pick for the occasion. To ensure service was top notch, I spoke to the manager and requested his best server for the night. When we went in 2022, the Grove was average. Nothing stood out but the ambiance. When we came back in 2025, there was no better place we could have spent our engagement dinner - and that is thanks to our wonderful server - Lourden (spelling?) The ambiance here is really fun and unique. Great lighting, intimate setting and great table spacing. The chef had special entrees prepared for our evening that were not on the menu - lamb chops and fish with lobster. The appetizer (beef Wellington and wedge salad) were so fresh. The Wellington was incredibly flaky and melted in your mouth. Lourden ensured that we were taken care of from start to finish. The drinks she recommended were delicious and custom tailored to our tastes. It was just a fun night. Exactly what I had hoped for, but more than I genuinely expected. This is a cute spot we just found. The bar has a near vibe and we were here on a Friday night with live music outside. Just a lovely evening. Our server Braeden was wonderful and helped move our meal along as we were headed to a show. The food was delicious! We had the beef Wellington appetizer, definitely worth it! The hubs had the blackened fish special (halibut tonight) that was delightful. He is continuing to say "yum". Beautiful event space! I came here on a Friday night for a welcome party for a wedding, and the venue was stunning. It was hard to find the event space within the restaurant (there were no signs and no waiters helped us get back there), but we found out that it was towards the back kinda hidden away from everything else. It was like it's own oasis because it was sectioned off from the restaurant. There were hanging lights, fire pits, multiple bars, places to sit, even a space (a whole room with glass doors) where the bride and groom had their rehearsal dinner. There were even bathrooms for this part of restaurant, so we didn't have to leave the space. The drinks and food were ok. I didn't wait for a drink, they were very fast. We stopped in for drinks and to try something new for our anniversary. We just went to the bar, which was gorgeous and homey. I tried a lemon drop on a friend's recommendation, and Hubs was happy they have Yuengling on tap. The bartenders were friendly and so amazing for our first time here. One created a drink for me with strawberry and jalapeño. It was a delicious burn! Since it was busy and we had no reservation for outside seats, we decided to eat in the bar. We started with the mini beef Wellingtons. Holy moly! They literally melted in our mouths. Next time, I could eat that with a salad for my meal. For dinner I tried the chicken Milanese, and Hubs ordered the chicken fried steak. The bartender quickly told him that the chicken fried chicken is better. These dishes were beautiful, and we were so excited that I forgot to take pics before digging in. The chicken was so tender on both! Hubs' mashed potatoes were heavenly. My chicken Milanese was served with a pear salad on top and cheese grits underneath. I couldn't have picked a better mix of flavors. Just delicious, but I got full too quickly. Our bartender said we should have saved room for churros...next time I'll plan ahead. With food this good, I'll have to try something new each time we visit. Absolutely adored The Grove. Went for Brunch and the restaurant was so cute. Loved the fancy bar area to the right when you first walked in and then to the left there's a little event area you can rent out, tons of outdoor space and even outdoor space you rent out. The restaurant itself was really cute with all the funky paintings and signs throughout. It felt very much like upscale dining but it was very relaxing. The servers were all very attentive, water glasses were filled when close to being empty. They come and pick up your plates quickly. Our server was really great. Second time back in Tyler to visit the Grove. The quality and selections are good overall. The venue is fantastic with something for everyone. This time, we stopped for brunch and got Bananas Fosters french toast, shrimp and grits, and steak and eggs. The French toast was the star of the show; it's as tasty as it is visually appealing. The flavors on the steak and eggs were great, but the steak was definitely overcooked. It was seasoned enough and wasn't dried out, so it wasn't worth sending it back. The shrimp and grits were okay, but the BBQ sauce definitely didn't fit. Something like a creole sauce or a NOLA-style barbecue shrimp would probably work better. Loved the venue and had great service, so that did help the overall experience. read more
