This place gives you a great look for sure! I left feeling beautiful and got exactly what I asked for. Leandra is awesome and pays attention to detail & really tries to understands what you want. The vibe is relaxing and friendly from everyone that welcomes you. The girl that washed mine & my sister's hair was so sweet named Mire & gave a great scalp massage and also recommended a toner for my hair that I very much needed to make my look even better. They were also accommodating to my 6 yr old son who gets impatient waiting around. Kristina at the front desk was also so accommodating to help me get the appointment I needed the very next day. My wife had a full balayage and cut today. She had roughly 4 inches cutoff and layers put in. The balayage was blonde through most of her hair except the very top. All of this took 6 hours and cost $350 before tip!!! Just the numbers alone are obnoxious! To make it worse, the person cutting my wife's hair was often do other things like helping others and cutting other people while the dye was soaking in. Absolutely WONDERFUL work done by Carmen! My hair has never looked more gorgeous and I feel unbelievably confident in my new style. I haven't had my hair done in over two years, was unfamiliar with the area, and spontaneously decided to go for a cut. I gave Great Looks a call to request a same day appointment/walk in if possible and they were beyond courteous and kind about squeezing me in. When I got there I was greeted right away. Carmen offered me a beverage, and when I mentioned that I was a bit embarrassed of the state of my hair at the moment, she reassured me that there was nothing to be embarrassed for and that she was happy to help! I felt at ease and welcomed right away. Carmen was incredibly thorough and made sure every detail of my hair was examined and taken care of. Even when I was unsure of what style I was going for partway through, she was understanding, patient and supportive. We settled on curls, and it turned out absolutely amazing, and she was happy to explain the steps she was taking for the process along the way. The vibe of the salon is clean, relaxing and modern. I came in earlier this week to get a perm. I was a new client, so I went with the stylist who had an open appointment for when I was coming in. It took about 2 hours and he blew the perm out so there were no curls left. I gave it a couple of days and my hair was normal. The perm didn't take at all. No big deal.. it happens. I called the salon and they offered to have me come back for an appointment with June, who has a lot of experience doing perms. She asked me to send her pictures of what I wanted and was lovely through the whole process. I went back today and had my expectations exceeded. June is awesome. She's a sweetheart with some pretty cool stories of her studies abroad. She did a great job and I am very happy with my perm. I will be back to see her again next time!! I am happy with the salon overall. They were so quick to admit that something was wrong and remedy the situation, no questions asked. That's all I could ever want. read more

I came here about a week ago and got my hair done with Savi. I asked for the far right photo and made sure she thought it was ok to do it. She said it would happen no problem. I left upset because it wasn't what I had wanted. I asked specifically for no red or warmth and that's what she gave me(the before wavy picture). I went back to give them another chance today and I had Ian; she made it much better with a more realistic answer to when I can achieve that color of blonde. And was still able to make it lighter all around and cool down the warmth (straight hair pic). Overall the customer service is incredible! From out of town and was given an appt for noon but sat and waited until almost 1:30 as the stylist they booked me with was with another client. Got close to leaving but soooo glad I didn't. The staff were very understanding and Cody gave me a nice gift for all the confusion and thanked me for my patience. No one went on the defensive, they just made it right. My stylist Didi is definitely a miracle worker (if he can tame my hair he can do yours!) and went hugely above and beyond my expectations. I explained how long it had been since I had anything done with my hair and that I didn't want to see the 'gray'. He did an absolutely phenomenal job with the color and did more than we originally discussed so that I would be totally satisfied. What more could a girl ask for? I was in Florida for a few weeks last August and decided to come to this salon because of its excellent ratings. The lady that cut my hair was very nice although my hair cut came out uneven and I've looked stupid since last August. I got it cut very short compared to what it was. I really loved how welcoming she was but if a certain haircut is requested and you aren't sure if you can do it..PLEASE be honest.. I would have just gotten a regular straight haircut, I prefer honesty. Now I have to let it grow to a certain length to even it out. Didi went over my expectations and his ideas with me and came up with a haircut / color that turned out to be the happiest I've ever been with my hair! Great salon in the Hunters Creek area. I see either Carmen or Cody. Both do impeccable work. Most recently Cody cut and ombre highlighted my hair. He did an amazing job. What I appreciated a lot is that he (and Carmen) both cater to the client. They listen to your ideas, provide some feedback, and make the style happen. If there's anything I can't stand, it's when a stylist doesn't listen to me and does whatever they feel like doing to MY hair. Not an issue at Great Looks.
