Then I got harrassed for my Medicare # even though I provided my insurance card (Medicare PPO). That wouldn't have been so bad being asked for that EXCEPT that my husband went several months ago for his covid jabs (both of them) at the very same AuBurn Pharmacy and he was never asked for his Medicare # - and, mind you, he has the very same insurance that I do. So, I went on their website and sent them my Medicare # several days after receiving the jab VIA EMAIL - but they don't check their email. This is ridiculous. My husband didn't get this hassle whatsoever! I thought these covid jabs were supposed to be FREE. What an absolute mess! I'm not at ALL impressed with AuBurn Pharmacy after they've singled me out to harrass me for the Medicare # - that I provided them VIA EMAIL. CHECK YOUR EMAIL or delete that option for consumers.

Their billing service has a lot of room for improvement. After multiple appeals to Medicare, it was determined that Reliable charged in error. Medicare advised that we were best to find a different DME provider. We have done so and now have a good customer experience elsewhere.

Upon walking into American Care Equipment, despite the sign enforcing masks on the door, at least three people were not wearing masks. One was a salesperson! Two were a couple together trying out chairs and as they left, the husband was literally blowing and spitting out of his mouth (he did not appear to have any mental issues - I observed his behavior the entire time as I guarded my mother with my body). The store was dirty with dirty masks lying around on the chairs. Crowded, no masks, no sanitizer. KC Home Med Supply was AMAZING!! Newer building, great and helpful MASKED employees. Sanitizer right when you walk in that they ask you put on before touching anything. HVAC system running loudly and very very clean. Will be purchasing from there.

They said they would have to all cleaned and ready for me when I got there. They asked if insurance was paying for it and I said I didn't know. They asked for my insurance and called them and got me preauthorized. They had me call my doctor and fax over a prescription. They also noticed it was my right leg that was broken and asked if I want a right leg elevator to rest my leg on. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because they called my insurance while out in an open office area were everyone could hear my ID, group #, deductible, etc. I think they should have done that in a back office where it is private and no one else could hear my information. Besides that they were fast and easy to work with.

I called American home patient and was instructed that I should call the manufacturer and that there was nothing that they could do for me. I explained to them that the manufacturer instructed that I immediately discontinue using the machine and that was a problem because I needed the cpap machine to breathe at night.  I asked American home patient if I could purchase a new Cpap machine which I would pay for since I just got the recalled machine from them within the past 6 months. American home patient decided that they would not sell me a cpap machine and refused to.  Because I had a recalled cpap machine they refused to sell me a new one. They told me that I could not buy one from them all their cpap machines were for new insurance  customers.  I guess because I have a recalled cpap machine I could no longer buy a cpap machines from this company. I was willing to pay full price for the machine but they refused to sell it to.  How they can discriminate between who is allowed to purchase medical equipment from them and who is not.  My money is just as good as anyone else's.  Why has American Home Patient decided to no longer sell me this life saving medivial device which I need? What makes me different then everyone else who is allow to buy medicial devices from them.

They guided me through my options and worked with the VA to get my script so I could self pay for a travel unit. They guided me to two different ones that would meet my needs and I am happy with the one I ended up with. It is going to reduce the footprint of my CPAP considerably.
