He also insisted on replacing the toilet valve which had always worked before. He stayed quite a while making sure the leak was gone. Overall he did a fine job but it was very expensive (nearly $500) for what amounted to a wax seal and valve. He did leave wax ring crumbs on the floor for me to clean. He charged a trip charge of $60 which was not in his quote and this added to the sticker shock. I would be happy to hire Isaac again but I just can't afford the cost.

The cost was $647, but I needed it fixed and it was the day before the 4th of July. So I needed it done and knew what the price was. I didn't get a receipt for the payment or the work done. That's not good, but the work was done to solve the issue.

"Aaron" came out and informed me that my heat exchanger was unsafe and that it should be replaced before the heating season. After checking the condenser and freon amount, he said I was down 2-3 lbs. which was almost half of the amount I should have, and informed me that it would cost over 1,1000 to charge it back up and repair a minor leak in a Shrader valve. I chose to wait to do anything and was charged 250.50 for his service call, not the 99.00 I was told on the phone. I called Center Point Energy's "Home Service Plus" the next day and they also checked out the heat exchanger and found NO problems. They also informed me that my freon was NOT insufficient and that Tim's Home service was trying to sell me a new HVAC system at 13,000. I was depending on Tim's Home Service to be reliable and informative to me and they were not honest or reliable and will never have them back into my house again. Homeowners beware.

Being right before the holiday, their scheduling was very tight but they were very good with communication and we were in a position to be flexible. Due to multiple tasks, their technicians were out on two different days. Zach was out for the more urgent need of the laundry drainage. The project threw in some curve balls, which is probably more the norm than the exception for the industry, but Zach was knowledgeable, efficient and quick with the repairs. One month on and things are still working as desired. Dave (David?) was out on a different day and handled the other issues nicely. Five of Five Stars, would plumb with them again. :)
