The food is always so good!! I love the crab Rangoon & fried rice! The service is always fast and they are very friendly!

Had carry out off the buffet this evening. Got 3 meals and the only one that was worth eating was the pepper chicken. The honey chicken and the general tso's chicken was terrible. it was not even warm and the honey chicken was so hard you couldn't eat it. They should be ashamed to serve this type of food!!!!! After 6 pm, do not order anything for pick up that can be taken off the buffet. Against my better judgment, this is exactly what I did. The Crab Rangoon that I ordered, was the worst I've ever had. Clearly from the stale, musty taste, it had been made maybe, sometime that day. It was so brown that it was almost burnt, so I'm guessing it was tossed back in the fryer for a few minutes to try to freshen it up some. It didn't work. I also got Teriyaki chicken. The first 2 pieces I ate were fresh, so I thought ok, at least this is good. Nope. The rest of the pieces were hopefully made sometime that day if not possibly the day before. They mixed in fresh with old, I guess, so it wouldn't be quite so obvious. read more

This restaurant used to be very good. However after this last experience, I simply cannot recommend it. The first issue was not including sweet and sour sauce with sweet and sour chicken. This was a big deal considering we got takeout and were simply not going to let the food get cold to get the sauce included with the entree. The second issue was the most alarming. The chicken simply tasted odd. It clearly was not fresh and looked to be reheated. This was true in both the sweet and sour chicken and the other chicken dish we ordered. It also smelt horrendous. I ate around 1/4 of the entree and put it in the fridge. An hour or so later my fridge had a horrendous smell and my house smelt awful. Something was clearly wrong with the food for it to smell this horrendous and taste equally as bad. The third issue was the fried rice. It used to include veggies and taste like fried rice. It honestly tasted like bland white rice. It was most definitely not the fried rice that they previously served. To top it all off, the cleanliness of the restaurant is simply disgusting. Take a look at other yelp reviews and Google reviews. It's clear there's a major sanitation issue here. I will not be returning after being a customer for years. Sad to watch a restaurant that once used to be a staple for Chinese food become a restaurant that's simply given up on not only good customer service but also on providing good quality food. The chicken is clearly cheap, the rice is bland, and I now have food poisoning. This grand experience costed me around 39 dollars. I strongly recommend going anywhere else in London. A dumpster would be comparatively better as long as it doesn't have any food from this restaurant. read more

It had been quite some time since we had visited here and were so sad to see how badly it has declined. The food used to be fantastic but is just okay now. It was all warm and mostly fresh but some of the items were a bit bland. The real killing blow was the service. The hospitality lasted only enough to greet us on the way in. Our waitress walked us to the table, asked us what we wanted for drinks, brought the drinks and was never seen again. We never had our drinks refilled and had to go on a scavenger mission for napkins and cutlery. They requested that we pay a near 10 dollar tip. Needless to say, we did not. We will not be returning. I went to the bathroom and had to shit and there was no toilet paper so I had to wait until CLOSING TIME when they went to clean the bathrooms, then I asked for some TP and he didn't even speak English! I had to leave the restaurant with feces in my pants, it was horrible read more

This place is AMAZING! My husband and I came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it's now our favourite buffet in the area! They have a HUGE buffet selection, including Chinese ribs, several different kinds of seafood (including different types of shrimp, crab, and fish), tons of sides, a dessert bar including fresh fruit, cakes, and ice cream. They even have fried frog legs and sushi on the buffet bar that are AMAZING! But the best thing on the buffet - the "seafood biscuit"! It's a fried flakey dough topped with a combination of crab, shrimp, and creamed corn and is absolutely AMAZING and delicious! They also have a Mongolian grill, where you choose your fresh ingredients and they cook it in the grill for you, but we were too late in the day to enjoy it. We're definitely going to be coming back to try it! read more

I ventured here for lunch the other day. I found this buffet to be far more satisfying that sun buffet was! They had a nice selection and kept the food in stock. They were very nice as well. From what I can tell, this location recently added a Mongolian grill! The teriyaki chicken sticks are my favorite at any buffet and they were great here. The sesame, general tsos, and honey chicken were all really tasty. The only thing that I encountered that I wasn't much of a fan of was their sweet and sour. They should work on that. This was absolutely the worst Chinese buffet I have ever experienced. Most everything was either cold, over cooked, or some combination of the two. The crab legs were brown and water logged. The crab Rangoon was soggy. The egg rolls were devoid of any flavor whatsoever. The floor was greasy, the men's room out of service, and the Mongolian grill was unattended and apparently not a current option; although there was plenty on "fresh food" becoming not so much. If you are traveling and feel you must eat or die, and The Great Wall is the only restaurant open, just consider your life til that point a good run and let nature take its course. The only thing positive about this place was the high class back lit photo of pre 911 New York. The waitress was very sweet. We should have considered the dead bird outside a sign. read more

I love Chinese food and the Great Wall is really good. Everything is always hot and fresh food is brought out promptly. There's always a large variety and everything is fresh, hot, and taste great. The service is decent. but since its a buffet there really isn't a lot for then to do besides fill up your drinks and take the dishes and when they're not prompt all you have to do is motion for one of them are ask and they will take care of you right away. The restaurant is clean and the bathrooms have been clean each time I have dined there. The price is very reasonable and I would recommend it. read more

The rice is dry and hard like it was served the previous day. I feel like it was all left overs from the following day. I believe this because on their door before you walk in that says don't waste food. So proof in the pudding right there. I am absolutely appalled at the quality of the food the chicken is mostly bread and is alittle blackish here and there on the inside like I really don't think that's meat. There is no way. The wife and I went here on Sunday around 6:00 pm. As I stated in my previous review, we usually order from the menu and take it home, but we ate the buffet this time. The place was pretty crowded, which is always a good thing when it comes to a buffet. Maybe I was just starving, but the food was exceptional. I couldn't really detect a difference between the buffet and the take-out food I usually get. As is typical with places like this, your mileage may vary, but I have to say that if you go at a busy time, the food will be much better. Food was cold, looked as if it has been sitting for longer than a hour. Also need to mop floors cause they are slippy, almost fell twice with the 10 minutes we stayed.. Sadly my partner paid for only 1 plate with very small amount we ate or tried I should say. I tried to get him to not pay but of course he did cause that's the rightful thing to do but we will never ever ever eat here again and definitely would not recommend it. read more

Up to three stars depending on the day of the week. I used to order take out twice a week - same thing every-time - chicken broccoli. When it's made fresh it's really good - steaming hot - but not over cooked and just perfect. However several times, tonight included, I have ordered my usual and there are varying degrees of cooked broccoli and varying degrees of hot and lukewarm food within the package - which I can only assume means the order was not cooked fresh, probably filled from the buffet. I am glad I ignored a lot of the critics. The establishment was super clean, friendly staff and most importantly the food was exceptional. For a Chinese restaurant I had a 5 star experience. Passing through but will eat here again. read more

Don't bother with take out because try to charge you a 4-5 dollar delivery charge on top of how expensive their food is. You are looking at almost 20 dollars for an order of sesame chicken. I have mixed reviews about this place. I have eaten here a few times, most of those times were bad. Normally the food is cold, the service is bad, and you NEVER get a drink refill unless you go get it yourself. The one time I did have hot food was fantastic.
