Food is wonderful. Always hot. Staff is very polite. The restaurant is clean. I would recommend to anyone.

I was extremely disappointed. I ordered beef fried rice add mushrooms. The rice tasted like plain white rice with a ton of oil. It was so bad I couldn't eat it. They charged .75 to add mushrooms and i.counted 4 tiny peices. The meat was no bigger than a bean sprout and there were tons of sprouts. It was terrible. I order usually somewhere else but figured I'd give it a try here and was completely disappointed. Flavorless and super oily. I won't order from here again! read more

SHAME ON YOU GREAT WALL. You used OLD RANCID OIL to cook all the food I ordered. It TASTED DISGUSTING, GROSS, VILE and was INEDIBLE. I had to THROW ALL OF IT AWAY. I wasted $32 because you can't be bothered to spend $5 and use FRESH COOKING OIL. I thought you were the best Chinese restaurant in town but now you are no better than China River another "cheap" restaurant that uses OLD RANCID OIL when they cook in order to save money. I have been going there sometimes twice a week for the last year now and I just love the food!! Sometimes I just stop in for chicken on a stick, a high protein boneless skinless meal for less than $8. Once a week I order for the whole family, and try new meals. The family owned and operated establishment serves great food and amazing customer service!! When you come in you may see someone hand making dumplings or other items instead of buying frozen from a supplier. The whole family is so kind and amazing, I just love them!! The only downside is they try to cater to some of the whiny Karen chathamites and the result is they leave out the heat from certain dishes and make them too blamd to cater to the uncultured palate. But if you explain that you want it spicy when ordering, they can accommodate. I would mark this restaurant a hidden gem because it's absolutely wonderful!! read more

This place is awful, please do not go here. I've tried all the Chinese restaurants in the Springfield/Chatham area and this one is by far the worst. If I had to give an alternative I'd say go to China River. read more

Food was so good!! It was extremely fresh. The Crab Rangoon was definitely homemade not frozen, it was really creamy. The broccoli in my beef broccoli was fresh and cooked perfectly. The beef broccoli had ready good flavor. This will definitely be my go to Chinese place. It is not far from home and the staff was very nice. read more

Excellent Chinese food fast! Very fresh, very clean environment. I would surely recommend this restaurant if you're in or near Springfield, IL. There's not a whole lot to choose from for Chinese cuisine in Springfield but I found this little jewel after reading past reviews. They are correct, this is a must try for the Chinese food lover in central Illinois. They put bean sprouts in the fried rice which is rare in Chinese take out lately. They get huge kudos from me for that! read more

This review is a week late. Ordered sweet and sour chicken. Comes with fried rice. Everything tasted OK. Rice could use onions, green peppers but at least it had some flavor. Tried this place out because I was curious. I love Chinese food but I am very picky. My first impression of this place is that it was very clean, upscale looking for a take out Chinese food place. Staff was friendly and the food was made fresh. What I found refreshing about this place is that you can actually see the people who are cooking your food. Many places try to hide this because they don't want you to see what is "really" going on. I had the general tso chicken and they made it not spicy. Compared to my favorite Chinese restaurant, the chicken wasn't as good,however, it was good enough to eat and enjoy. The rice was very good also. This place was gross, tried it once and it was ok so decided to give it another try. Everything was mushy like it had been cooked previously and then added to some meat at the end. Neither one of us finished our food since it was gummy and gross. Still makes me gag. read more

There used to be a place on MacArthur Blvd years ago that was called Great Wall that was amazing, so I was eager to try this place. I found out it was not owned by the same people; but it is delicious! If you must wait for your food, they will give you a free drink. It's also not really pricy and you get a lot of food.
