The ABSOLUTE WORST QUALITY AND TASTING CHINESE FOOD I have ever eaten. If I was the owner of this restaurant, I would be MORTIFIED to serve dishes made of such POOR QUALITY INGREDIENTS and that would apply TO ALL DISHES SERVED HERE. I ordered sesame chicken, fried rice, egg rolls, and crab cheese rangoon. I took a bite of each dish and all of them tasted HORRIBLE. This place was very good, my wife and I tried it before we left town and we're a little sketched out by how it looked on the outside. So we ordered take out and went through the drive through, and the lady was very very nice who gave us our food. Preface: I am from Chicagoland and am used to authentic Chinese food, not this Americanized fake Chinese take out food. If I was to rate Springfield's Chinese food to that of the Chicago-area, Springfield's restaurants would have only a 1-star or 2-star rating. Keeping that in mind... this review is based solely on comparing Dynasty Asian Cuisine to other Chinese restaurants WITHIN the Springfield area. My friend and I went to Dynasty for lunch. We both ordered the $5.99 Lunch Special of Vegetable Deluxe with Chicken. The meal came with Egg Drop Soup and rice. (Not sure if there was an upcharge for the meat). The portion size is really good and you definitely get your money's worth. The chicken was moist and tender, the vegetables were perfectly cooked to tender-crisp, and the sauce was light (not drowning the food). The Egg Drop Soup was good--pleasant taste. The food was brought out within ten minutes--speedy enough. And the staff is friendly and attentive. It is said... if the only Chinese people in the restaurant are the ones working there, then it is not good Chinese food. This is not the case with Dynasty. Dynasty is one of the three restaurants in Springfield that my Chinese friends DO eat at, so that gives me great confidence in eating here. I would definitely eat here again and try out other menu items. Not to mention... you can't beat lunch for $5.99 (plus tax and tip). Definitely a good value. Honestly, it doesn't look like much when you walk up to the place but the food is beyond worth it. The staff wasn't very friendly, but I did not interact with them much. I got a lunch combo with an appetizer, the prices were very low and i was surprised at how cheap it was for how much food you got and the quality. Was fairly desperate for Asian food since the COVID 19 isolation has kept most Asian restaurants in our area closed for over a month. Ordered from this place today and most of the meal was mediocre to BAD. The Vietnamese Spring Rolls were terrible. The shrimp was very fishy and mostly lettuce inside. The chili sauce served with them was not good (peanut sauce would have been a big improvement). The Pork with Mushrooms was "bleh" and the Mandarin chicken made Panda Express look pretty good. The Tom Yum soup had a flavorful broth and was pretty tasty, but nothing will encourage me to order from this place again. Yuck. Little Saigon beats these guys hands down. read more

Good. Cheap. And friendly staff. The food is made right in front of you, and it sure is quality! My friends and I were about to enter the restaurant when we noticed it closed in about 5 minutes. Not wanting to be a hassle, we began to walk away. A nice, younger woman, quickly exited the building and explained that they were still open. (She had a smile the whole time.) I had seen this place for years, but had my go-to Asian cuisine spots, so never bothered... Until I was delivering one day and I got a trip for Uber Eats to deliver from this restaurant. As I waited for the food, I watched the lady behind the counter handle each and every product with the utmost care. I understand why their website says service with love! This is fact! I noticed how clean it was in there, and then I started paying attention to the cook. He was just as meticulous as the nice lady, and was cooking this food with so much care. From that day on, I vowed to try them one day. Lo and behold, I found myself in a low spot, willing to pay Door Dash money for Chinese delivery (rather than drive a HALF BLOCK to my go-to neighborhood Thai restaurant. Shameful!)... and I found myself remembering that I wanted to eat there. I will say one thing, I do wish my honey chicken had more honey. But it was fried/cooked to perfection! Like, seriously. I was not ashamed to pour the delicious sweet n sour sauce from the even more delicious crab-stuffed rangoon all over it for a make-shift sweet n sour chicken. My husband got a shrimp veggie combo that was loaded with vegetables - so hard to find these days! It was equally delectable. Their Pad Thai was horrible, but their Mixed Vegtables was OK. But even after I returned the uneaten Pad Thai, they made me pay for a replacement meal. Then they changed their mind and credited me for it. But, as I was leaving, they claimed I had not paid for my meal and chased me out the door! After showing them the receipts they let me leave. And if that was not enough, their Men's bathroom was the worst I've seen in years - dirty; almost no TP; the stall door would not close; and there were no paper towels to dry hands. The woman on the phone decided to charge me not according to the online menu (overcharged for each item versus the website menu), had no idea what was even on the menu, then asked for my credit card three times because her computer was not working. She was not accommodating when I asked for some kind of compensation for the issues. She said they were busy and hung up the phone. My go-to place for Chinese in town. Owners were at Ginger when it opened, and now have their own place. Lunch can be difficult, sure, but that's because the food is really, really good. Dinner is usually much more relaxed. Don't be scared to try less traditional items. The coconut fish or chicken is very tasty. Steamed fish is wonderful (much better if you eat it there). When I want to splurge on my fried food allotment (I can't eat like a hummingbird anymore) a get the szchewan sea bass. NOT a good 1st date item, it has LOTS of garlic. :) read more

Cameron and I have found good asian food really hard to come by, but Dynasty has us coming back for more and more. We've eaten there three days in a row because of the variety of food and the ridiculously good prices. We suggest the strawberry chicken, their crispy shrimp is phenomenal, and their curry fried rice. Can't wait to try more.. I have ordered from Dynasty for delivery multiple times and I have so say, as far as Asian delivery it's pretty good. I avoid the sushi because I don't like how they prepare it, especially the rice. I love the General Tso's and anything with Thai basil in it, especially the basil fried rice.The flat noodle dishes are excellent as well. I love fried rice and this place has the absolute best I've ever had. Large portions and the deluxe has Pork, Chicken, and Shrimp in it. Tastes absolutely amazing.
