Very good price... all chicken dishes are great but dumplings need work. Would recommend if you're looking for something cheap and quick

Overall 4 of 5 but rounding up to 5 :)…read more 3 of us had a late lunch around 2 PM. They are 80% full however gave us a very small table and it felt very Squizzy. We had to ask for a bigger table and was led towards the end. Very interesting menu, we had the pu'er tea, which is not very commonly offered in the Chinese restaurants in the area. Love the teapot presentation and overall the branding effort. We tried to order the soup dumpling but was told something wasn't working properly and it's going to take over an hour so next time. Got wontons in chili oil, love the flavor. The mushu pork, a little bit too sweet for me. And the beef chow fun, just can't go wrong with that, and the szichuan pot with cumin lamp. I think this more authentic Chinese but my husband felt the lamb was too oily. I requested to get the little cute cat cup for my daughter's lemonade order and they said yes, so it was a very cute touch. Very happy with the visit definitely a lot of potential we will be back.

We started off with the chili oil dumplings which were super flavorful! For entrees we got the Mongolian beef and the shrimp fried rice. Fried rice was my favorite -- didn't need any soy sauce or duck sauce bc it had enough flavor on its own. For drinks I got the lychee drink which was on the sweeter side for my personal taste. Overall, loved my experience and can't wait to go back to try more menu items.

While at work, I was craving Chinese food and came across this place on Yelp. I decided to give it…read morea try. I ordered Pork Fried Rice and Boneless Spare Ribs. The food was prepared in about 10 minutes, and I found it quite enjoyable. The seasoning was well-balanced, and the meat was tender. I had thought about Mainport which I don't mind but don't exactly think is the best thing since sliced bread, but for some reason I decided tonight would be the night I go for some Chinese. I haven't been to one in Norwalk ever since Great Wall closed down. If I had known what I was getting myself into, I would have just kept walking. So immediately when I went in, there was already a lot of people inside. It was hard to tell who was in line in this hole in the wall. They do have menus outside the door you can take to make your decision which helped, but it still took me 5-10 minutes before I realized I could just go ahead and order since, again, I didn't know who was in line. Oh, a little tidbit. If you coming in looking for buffalo sauce, please look elsewhere! I kid you not, a couple of girls who came in after I did actually asked if they had buffalo sauce. Yes. That question literally came out of their mouths, and made its way to my ears while I was waiting for my food. Oh, and speaking of waiting, I had a 20-minute wait after I finally ordered. It's not as long as some other reviews, but it was just enough to make me miss my train. Yeah. That's why I wouldn't have come here if I had known. I will also mention that the barber who did my hair tonight actually also came here while I was waiting. Make of that what you will. For my order, I had the General Tso's Chicken (S1) and the "Crabmeat Cheese Fried Wonton"... To quote Avril, "Why'd you have to go and make things so complicated"? Just call it a Crab Rangoon already! That's what every other Chinese Food joint calls it. It comes with rice and red sauce. Yeah... Let's start with the red sauce because I have a bone with that. When I opened my bag and saw how much I was given, that level of sauce was so low I just had to laugh. The container it was in wasn't even filled halfway with the stuff. And yet, the Rangoons themselves did such a poor job of mopping the sauce that I couldn't finish the sauce. That's not to mention that the red sauce when I did taste it was WAY too salty. Seriously, did the recipe call for a salt lick to be added in? It tasted like I was eating saltwater. As for the Rangoon itself, the flavor was okay, but nothing to write home. Honestly, I could say the same things for both the rice and the General Tso's Chicken, but I will add that the breading was so soggy that the chicken actually fell out as I was trying to eat it. I will say in its favor though that the price isn't terrible, and the service from the staff is fine. That is enough to keep it from a one star, but even though I would like to give it a two-and-a-half, I can't give this a three.

I ordered two miso ramen with a load of add-ons to go following the epic snowstorm... it was positively delicious. Broth was balanced, savory and had the perfect aspect of heat... pork belly was cooked to perfection and I love how they prepare the perfect tamago (egg). A special treat is the saki flight-- Hayro is very well versed in his tasting note knowledge and origins of the featured sakis and was ultra kind, consistent with his execution of dynamic cocktails behind the bar. Love the ambiance, music is always on point and the bar set-up is ultra inviting... I prefer that over sitting in a booth. Rafael, the manager, was ultra attentive and very gracious towards me as a waiting patron... he even surprised me with a little KFC Bao which was absolutely magical with the sauces provided! Professionalism 10.0 and so endearing! I would recommend double checking your to go orders, especially if the order is a bit complex or heavy on the add-on factor (my cabbage was left out but I believe it was substituted for a larger order of greens)... but Betsy was polite and patient amidst me being a picky foodie in my ordering process! I can't thank this team enough for consistently delicious food and noteworthy customer service... it is ultra popular for a reason! *Posted while currently waiting on yet another to go order-- thank you, Mecha!*

I threw an order in for delivery through Uber Eats while I jumped in the shower. Took 30 minutes to arrive, the food was piping hot and presented beautifully, despite the foil and plastic containers. Overall delicious. The Saigon egg rolls are served with a Vietnamese dipping sauce fresh mint and lettuce wraps, and they were light and crispy and all the flavors together incredible. The KFC bao bun was a little on the dry side, but had a satisfying gochujang glaze with crunchy pickled veggies nestled in a soft pillowy bun. Kimchi fried rice was bursting with flavors and the creamy yolk from the fried egg added a velvety richness. There was a nice presence of bacon, fried shallots and scallion. Overall perfect. Excited to try the Ramen and Pho sometime!

Let's get right to it. This place isn't the best Chinese join you're gonna get, but I think this…read moreplace knows that and therefore doesn't try to be. Rather Great Wall Chinese is a restaurant commuters can grab in a pinch, so given that niche it does well enough for me to come back a few times. It's not getting a 1 or a 5, let's be clear. Now, if the interior alone was what I was grading, then WOULD be a 1! 2 of its windows are cracked, 1 of which makes up a huge chunk of the door. The crack that is NOT on the door is huge! Like, GET THOSE WINDOWS REPLACED! The floors and walls look like they should probably be cleaned as well. Another complaint is that, right now, it's not really safe to walk to the restaurant if you're coming from the station. You got construction going on next door, so the sidewalk is fenced off next to it, leaving you vulnerable to oncoming traffic. But like I said, this place isn't getting a 1 from me overall! That's because of the food itself! Now, I can't say this is an all-encompassing review because it's not, and not all of their food is phenomenal, but nothing I have ever had from them was bad. I've had their Boneless Ribs, General Tso's Chicken, and now their fried shrimp. I've also had both fries and rice in my orders. The Ribs are about par with what a normal Chinese Food joint offers, which is to say they're very much edible and might I say decent for what they are. The fries are okay, but you do need salt and pepper to really get the most out of them. And then they do General Tso's quite well! Rice is actually a good side, so do have the white rice if or when you order from here. Tonight's fried shrimp was actually pretty good too. No complaints here other than they should probably offer more tartar sauce. Where this place really shines are their portion sizes! They give you a generous portion of food every time you order, or at least they did for me. That's why it does well in the "dinner in a pinch" department. You also have plenty of options that are under $10 in prices, which the fried shrimp with fries is one of those at $9. Prices on the higher end can get to about $14.50, which still isn't bad. All in all, it's very affordable and does give you bang for your buck. I've debated whether I should give this a 3 or a 4, but the unsafe pathway from the station is one thing I really cannot ignore. So 3 it is.
