Told cashier that I ordered hot and sour soup and not egg drop soup. Initially lady said ok.... BUTTT I told her egg drop... I explained that I didn't like egg drop and never order it while she talked over me telling me I said egg drop!!!! I then said if that is what I said it was a mistake (I know for a fact I didn't say I wanted egg drop), but for the sake of argument I apologized and asked if they would exchange it. She said they would but continued saying "YOU SAID EGG DROP!¡!!!) She stormed to the back, then after a minute or so told me to set down and wait. Another customer in the restaurant was like wtf was that? Knowing that they dont make the soup fresh by the bowl, I didn't trust what they were doing with my soup. I then asked for a refund and said I wouldn't need there service. The lady wanted to argue about that but I simply disengaged and got the heck out of there. After leaving I called to vent to a family member whom said they stop going there because of unforgivable behavior they experienced. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY NEIGHBORS PETS!!!!

There were also a good number of vehicles in the parking lot for a Monday lunchtime, so I felt like it was a good bet. Inside I found the typical layout of a Chinese buffet restaurant, and I was guided to a table and asked for my drink order, then let loose on the buffet. I found on the buffet that the usual items were available... a number of different meat dishes, a couple of rice dishes, some items that were probably aimed at kids who are picky eaters, etc. Oddly, there was no General Tso's Chicken, which I felt was strange, but didn't really have a problem with it being ommitted. I ate my fill, paid my bill, and left without any issues. Really, there wasn't anything special about this restaurant, nor was there anything heinous about it. If you are in the mood for some Chinese buffet food, it will do the job for you.

They had dim sum on the menu so we decided to try the dim sum sampler, which came with two steamed pork dumplings, 2 veg crystal dumplings, 2 siu mai and 1 char siu bao. While it could easily feed one, it was also great for sharing. We also ordered an order of lotus leaf sticky rice, fried pork glutinous dumplings, taro custard pastries and a bowl of hot and sour soup. The dim sum sampler was surprisingly pretty. The color of the veg crystal dumplings was one of the most insta-worthy things I've ever seen! The taste of everything was a-ok. Definitely worth a try, though! We loved the fried poor glutinous dumplings - fried to crispy perfection without being overly greasy. And the taro custard pastries were the perfect not too sweet way to end the meal. I was a little disappointed in the lotus leaf sticky rice. The texture was off and flavor was bland. Next time I'm in stopping through Augusta, I'll definitely be back at Meimei's for dim sum!!

The biggest problem was the stringy, tough, greasy overcooked dark meat chicken. The almond chicken had no almonds. It wasn't cheap either. Our General Tso chicken was nearly $15. The only recognizable vegetable in the vegetable fried rice was onions.
