    Low country boil with shrimp
    David J.

It is boil in the bag seafood. Base boil, (corn potatoes, kielbasa) now is $18 and a lb of jumbo shrimp totals $37 before tip. We got mild but you can get spicy. The sausage has a bit of heat but the shrimp themselves was mild but tasty. We got some garlic butter as well .You can get crab legs and fin fish in your boil all for additional price. You order at the seafood market and can either take out or eat next door in a small dining area with paper towels on the tables and a single unisex bathroom. They give you plastic forks but you peel the shrimp with your fingers. Food is fresh and tasty but this is rustic eating. Portions are huge

Located in the heart of Aiken, JC's Seafood prides themselves on providing a variety of the freshest seafood possible while keeping the cost affordable. You create and order your Low Country Boil to include the shrimp or shellfish that you prefer. Whether you decide to include coastal shrimp, snow crab legs, sea scallops, blue crab, or clams, they have a selection that everyone will enjoy. If you just drive on by and miss the opportunity to get fresh seafood you really are missing out! They offer takeout and are wheelchair accessible. They accept American Express, Visa, and Mastercard. Don't miss out stop on in and get some great food! We will definitely be dropping by again for some blue crab!

This place has a great Crab Boil that you can customize to feed any size group of people. You can also get a beer if you wish, or take your food to-go. They do have service at a screened area that's like eating in an outdoor ambiance.

This is one of those places that has been on my list for a while but always got pushed aside when traveling to Aiken because of Apizza di Napoli. We made the time yesterday and am so glad we did, although I wish that we had 1.) not come when the heat index was over 100 because the area/building you eat in does not have air (also adding spicy food into the mix just makes it even hotter!) and 2. We would have come here more often with friends or as date night with the putt-putt and batting cages in the same parking lot. Now for the food, I got the individual low country boil (LCB on menu) that comes with 1 corn, 3 potatoes, 4 pieces kielbasa and 12 XL shrimp for $12.00 and I added 1/2 lb of mussels for around ~$3 (full lb is $5.99/lb) with the HOT seasoning. Whoa buddy. I can do heat but combined with the no air, I was really sweating. It was delicious. My husband opted for the LCB with crab legs which was $18.99 for 1/2 lb crab legs and he added either a 1/2 lb or 1 lb extra kielbasa to be able to have a second meal to take home. He was happy with the spicy seasoning he got on it. He did say that the crab legs were a tad overcooked, but besides that enjoyed his food, as well. He just wouldn't get the crab legs again. Compared to the other two places we have had LCBs recently (Juicy Crab in Augusta and Crab Shack in Tybee), I think this is my favorite of the three. Juicy Crab is fine but what stands out from their LCB is their sauce, the seafood isn't the highlight. Don't get me wrong, their sauce is good but I've often left thinking yeah the kielbasa was okay, the mussels were average at best but the sauce was delicious, which isn't necessarily a bad thing just is a thing. Crab Shack in Tybee served more food but surprisingly the quality isn't always that great (you'd think closer to the water it'd be better but wasn't last time we were there). This place is absolutely worth the visit, just know it can be a tad pricey when you add on items like we did yesterday. That being said, I wish we had more time in Augusta area because we would be back!

Ordered extra large shrimp. Received little ones that were tough and overcooked. Friendly help but very disappointing outcome.

Good food but seating is like you're eating at a picnic, very hot, outside metal building. I would come back next time just for take out.

The only place for excellent, fresh seafood in Aiken. Otherwise, you're stuck with frozen shrimp.

The salmon was delicious, as was the Osso Bucco, and the short rib ravioli. The pork scallopini was dry. The prices are high. $38 for salmon. Menu is limited-no vegan or vegetarian options at all. Server was not well aware of keeping waters refilled, and didn't realize for 10 minutes she hadn't brought the fourth diners dinner out yet! The previous wait staff were all so professional. Malia's is not what it was before it was sold. I hope they can make some changes and become a destination restaurant once again.

The service was very slow even with a mostly empty restaurant. A few mistakes and undereducated about allergies. The portions can't be tiny, prices high and yet lacking substantially in taste. They need to step up the taste game or lower the prices or increase the size. Otherwise, I think they'll end up folding pretty quickly. I was surprised to see the head chef is the same as Cork and Flame in Evans as that restaurant is well managed and the food stands out. I know he's capable of better but we won't be back until there is some obvious signs of improvement.
