Met some friends at Angie's at this restaurant they have a seafood buffet they bring your crab legs to the table from the back on a plate. One plate or two plate they ask you.. the crab legs were hot missing a lot of seasoning. The bar was not appetizing. Most of the food was not seasoned, but I ate my share of crab legs because I had my own seasoning. The waitress came and took my plate of crab legs that I had already eaten, which had my crab cakes on Just grabbed them and took off so I had to go back to this bar and get me a crabcake which was awesome. Best crab legs in the CSRA!!! They were hot and the server kept em coming! Wait time to get seated was about an hour and a half, but that was expected for a Saturday night. Once we were seated everything was rapid fire! The buffet had all kinds of seafood, i.e. fried catfish, different types of shrimp, and more. Down home atmosphere, good cookin, and family time. Just had an amazing dinner at Angie's Steak & Seafood. It was our first time and all I can say is WOW!! Everyone that worked on 3/7/2026 you did an incredible job. We ordered the (special) Ribeye baked potato all you can eat shrimp. Everything cook to perfection. The shrimp just kept on coming. My lovely wife had the Ribeye and crab legs. Another perfect steak, baked potato and a full plate of crab legs. Service was top notch. During our meal every one came by and checked on us. Our drinks were constantly filled up. Great Seafood spot in Thomson, GA. Once again I visit a fish house. This means it is a hole in the wall type restaurant. Nothing fancy. So if that's not your cup of tea don't eat here. Now for those who love off the beaten path places with good food and great service this is a place to try. The food is excellent and the service is amazing. We just got the seafood buffet, but there is a menu to order. Now only thing the shrimp was delicious but some weren't devined. That might get some people. The food is amazing, only place around here with unlimited crab legs and the price can't be beat. Salad bar is good although they should have olives. The service is amazing, katie always does the most. I saw her carrying 7 cups and running around never stopping. Peach cobbler is always the perfect ending to dinner. The ONLY place near Augusta with AYCE crab legs. Been there for 30 years and the food has remained consistent throughout the decades. Katie and Angie the owners are the sweetest thing ever and this place is their life's blood. Best things to me are the crab legs obviously. Only reason i I go. And the fried shrimp, hush puppies, and peach cobbler. They have frog legs and other great things but I'm here for the crab so I don't venture from that often. No frills, hole-in-the-wall spot with GREAT food and GREAT service. We heard of this place and made a trip just to eat here. The foods on the buffet were tasty and surprisingly well-seasoned. I've eaten mac and cheese everywhere but Angie's was the best at a restaurant. Hands down!!! It's only second best to mom's. We enjoyed the buffet while waiting for our food. Nothing special about salad bar. iceberg lettuce, cheese, tomatoes. I would not eat the slaw or potato salad. Both were yellow and brown. Baked potato was cold. Grilled shrimp was salty. Most of the food is fried, and I'm definitely a broiled/grilled seafood kind of girl.. but they were able to grill my scallops and the steak was cooked perfect. The "salad" bar is, lettuce, cheese, salad dressing lol.. but it was a really nice place to have dinner. Everything is delicious and has a wonderful fresh flavor!We came back from VA the same route we took up and were fortunate to have planned our trip so we could stop here in Thomson, GA again and just in time to check into our hotel and head "just out of town" to enjoy this wonderful restaurant again! Again, I had the Seafood Buffet and it was delicious--fresh everything! Shrimp, whole & filleted catfish fried to perfection and shrimp and crawfish boiled to perfection! Different, unique seasonings are used on each item that is prepared that shows that each one receives individual attention to acquire just the perfect flavor for each item! I even got to taste the steak wimhich another person in my party had ordered--wonderful flavor and texture! I cannot compliment this restaurant enough and the staff and owner are excellent and friendly. And, really for the quality, the price is very reasonable! read more

Go on the weekends for the seafood buffet--a wide selection, from frog legs and oysters to catfish and shrimp. You can still order off the menu, but why would you? This place is definitely southern, as almost everything is fried. The salad bar is limited but good, as you don't want to fill up on it anyway. Besides the salad, the only vegetables are grits, french fries, and hushpuppies. The sole dessert is peach cobbler and it goes quickly, so be prepared to wait for the next batch. The decor is outdoorsy, with stuffed deer, ducks, and fish staring at you from the walls, and the ambiance is definitely laid back (the building used to be a gas station). Two caveats--they don't take credit cards, and they don't total your bill until you are paying on the way out. read more

My extended family and friends have been going to Angie's (DYES) for years. Several years ago it was awesome. The best stocked buffet in the area. While the price of the buffet has been steadily going up (hasn't everything) the food selection on the line has continously gone down. The first thing to leave the line was fried oysters, the primary reason I started to go there. They were removed from the line following a gulf hurricane. I was told this move was temporary, till their cost came down. The second thing to leave was catfish filets, don't know the reasoning. The last thing that left was the boiled shrimp, my wife's favorite, again left with no comment. While the price is still at a premium the food selection is now below par. I hate to take this restaurant off my families place to go but we can get better value else where. We won't be going back till the food selection is upgraded to meet the price. read more
