We all were intrigued, so we bought it. We were then forced to buy socks. On Mondays they have a $15 pair deal. You and one other person pay $15 to bounce. Once we were told to buy the socks, bought the ninja warrior course, and taxes, it came out to $23-$24. We went over to the ninja warrior course, which we were told it's great to upgrade to, and 2 of the courses had broken parts. The staff was aware of this and yet still wanted to offer the upgrade failing to let us know the parts were broken. I found that very unprofessional and unkind, Especially coming from the manager. My cousin and I were refunded, after the manager and her staff had an attitude and made it seem extremely difficult to want our money back for a broken course. We were not allowed to continue the ninja warrior course even though there was this inconvenience. I found that very odd. The place was clean for the most part, the trampolines were fun, as well as the dodgeball area. But all the other attractions were an upgrade. I just felt like any way they could get our money, they tried. Even the lockers to store your personal belongings were for a price! Overall we had a decent time, but for the price; I would say I wouldn't go back very often unless their specials were more inclusive with what they have going on building wide.

It's connected to a bowling alley (literally connected), but we spent our time in the skating rink and didn't journey to the bowling alley part of the building. The rink is in serious need of updating. If you are thinking this is going to be bad, you are wrong. Roller Derby fans and participants are very much into the sport and they put on a great show. There is even a designated person walking around willing to explain what the heck is going on :-) The Roller Derby itself was fun to watch, exciting at times, and once we understood the rules, like watching any other sporting event. The rest of the experience outside of the actual roller derby sport was unique and enjoyable. Raffle tickets were sold, there was an intermission show (fencing), pamphlets were passed around for a non-profit, and there are souvenirs and food for sale. Everyone should go to Roller Derby at least once in their life. I absolutely recommend giving this a try.

My family and I went to our first event last night, a double header with the Tampa Bay Tantrums vs…read morethe Santa Cruz Boardwalk Bombshells and the Cigar City Mafia vs the Black Widows. The kids were excited all day to go, and had picked out their derby names before we left. Once we got there, parking was overflowing into KMart across the street from the SkatePlex in Tampa. After getting tix, getting in, and setting up our seats (good idea to bring fold up chairs), we were right on time for the action. The first bout was very entertaining, both travel teams were excellent. In the end Tampa Bay pulled ahead, mostly due to excellent speed and agility by Jammer Barbie Bont. The kids stuffed themselves with junk food, got their hair painted, and bought t-shirts between the 2 bouts. I had a couple of beers to get into the mood of the event, PBR being a sponsor of the TBDD. The second bout started off a bit slower, with lots of tactics and few chances being taken. In the end, the Mafia won by only 2 points. A tremendous bout. We are all excited to go to the next event on September 10th. You should really make it a point to go!

The league was well organized and had a great communication cadence. You essentially get guaranteed court play for 45 minutes each week. The price is hard to beat at $30 a team per season. There's a play ground, a rec center, restrooms, courts, tons of parking, fields. You name it-it's got it. The park even has pools! I personally really appreciate that the paved trail is smooth enough to rollerblade. And that's why it's the highlight for me. This park is a full afternoon of socially distant adventures. I'm so grateful for how well maintained it is. The St. Pete Parks and Rec team deserves so many kudos.

We have been doing a lot of park hoping lately, checking out all the different parks in the area…read more This park has a playground, basketball courts, tennis courts, picnic shelter and a large open field. It has restrooms however they are locked. Not really sure the point of having them there if not going to be in use. The playground I feel is for school aged children it's really not too safe for toddlers. They only have a couple of baby/Toddler swings for the younger ones. Also there are some safety issues with the playground, see photo for reference. The playground is pretty large. The basketball courts are in good condition and the time we went wasn't very busy. The tennis courts had lights that came on when it was getting a bit darker. They also had some lights around the playground as well. The open field would be great to play catch or kick the soccer ball around. Overall this park has a lot to offer for the area.

Ben previously was on a league here a while ago so I'd stop in from time to time to say hi on my…read moreway home but I am personally not much of a bowler myself so it's best I just stay away from the lanes. LOL. During one of my trips back home to visit friends, we all got together to bowl, much to my dislike but time with friends beats all that. During our time Ben and my friend Lisa got into a pretty competitive race with each other on who was going to win and well now it is their thing to joke with each other about. While Lisa was down visiting us earlier this year, a repeat game was very much on their to-do list. Maple Lanes is just a few miles down 19 from where we live so I planned a night for us all to go. Lisa is from a small town in Michigan so she was blown away when our ordered items came over to us from a "server robot". She still talks about how cool that was. It just makes me laugh at things like this because it really shows the differences of what I left behind in Michigan and what things just seem normal to me now in a larger city environment. We all had a great time together and Ben was all too pleased that he still holds that winning title between the two of them.

My son is 7 years old…read moreand had really only played T-ball before coming here, but the growth we've seen in such a short time has been amazing--not just in his skills, but in his confidence and love for baseball. He absolutely loves the summer camp and the one-on-one lessons. He gets excited every single time we're on the way, especially knowing he'll get to see Coach Pete. That excitement alone speaks volumes. Thanks to the coaches, he now has a better stance, a stronger and more confident swing, and--most importantly--a real motivation to play and improve. Coach Devin and Coach Billy have been phenomenal with him: patient, encouraging, and great at meeting him at his level while still pushing him to grow. This academy has truly helped spark a passion for the game in my son, and as a parent, that means everything. We are so thankful for the time, care, and dedication these coaches put into their kids. Highly recommend to any family looking to build both skills and confidence in young players.

My son attended summer camp and was really disappointed. He is a beginner. Not on a team and does…read morenot carry his own bag with equipment. He felt very out of place as everyone else was already a well established player. He didn't feel like the adults monitored things and felt pushed around by the more seasoned players. He did mention the owner was away the week he went. We paid for the after care - but he sat on bleachers not talking to anyone day after day. He asked me to share so other families can make sure their child has a good experience here and goes in with eyes open.

It has chest press, abductor, assisted squat, step machine, cross country ski machine, etc. Most of the machines are accessible to those in wheelchairs as well. There's a drink fountain with a water bottle refill station as well. A bonus is that it's a perfect spot to watch the sunset, aaaand it's close to the children's playground if you have kids. Some of the machines aren't as smooth as a normal gym... but this one's free, so it's not a huge deal. I'm glad Dunedin and the Kiwanis are improving the health of our city, and hope to see more improvements in my wonderful city!
