This hidden gem was so worth the drive to the south side of Charlotte. It's little but does justice with the food they are cooking. I got a salmon pita with rice and hubby had gyro with fries. Traveling to Charlotte for work and had a hankering for some Mediterranian flavors and came to this place. Everything at our table was delicious. The portions were generous and the prices were astonishing considering the high quality of food and service. My go-to is a Gyro as a benchmark kind of fare. Here it is very traditional and the flavors are tremendous. I was concerned about the red onion initially (i prefer a fierce white onion usually) but the flavor profile was more subtle and complex and I was dutifully impressed. The Hummus was just the right consistency and tasted homemade. Plenty of pitas for the dipping and the large is probably best for a table of three, because the two of us neeeearly finished it, but left back a smidge. The restroom was clean and everything worked in there. So, I absolutely recommend it. Traditional flavors and style mixed with great value and exceptional service. Your mileage may vary. read more

Son just moved to Steel Creek area and we wanted to check out various restaurants. This place did not disappoint! I had the Falafel plate with hummus. One of the best falafels I have had in a long time. Husband and son had the Lamb Gyros. My husband grew up in the Middle East and he said it reminded him of living there. We are located in between Greco Fresh Grille in Steele Creek and The Greek Grill in Fort Mill. They both have identical menus, but they separated out into two restaurants, with Greco having more locations around the Charlotte area. We finally tried Greco recently, so I have to compare the two. What we got: Lamb Gyro with OPA Fries (lemon oregano and feta) - the lamb meat was a little more greasy here than at Greek Grill, but still good flavor. The fries are also great. Pastitsio - Greek lasagna served with a Greek salad. This lasagna is different in that it is not alternating layers like a traditional lasagna, but instead layers of noodles at the bottom, followed by a thick layer of meat sauce, and a top layer of bachemal/cheese sauce. To compare to the Greek Grill - it was not executed properly here. I do not know if it had been sitting out or improperly prepared from the start, but the bottom layer of noodles were crispy/crunchy and not pleasant. Luckily, since it has layers of noodles, I could avoid the bottom layer to enjoy the rest of it. Definitely recommend this if it is executed properly as the flavor is good. The Greek salad was great! Service was okay, just there to take your order, not that friendly we are happy to have you here vibe. Overall a good spot for Greek Food, but you will find us going to Greek Grill in Fort Mill more just to have better execution and service. read more

The service from the randomn young kids at the front is not really great however they never have bad attitudes they just don't know the menu. Good heavens, is this good food. The gyro isn't heavy on tzatziki or vegetables, allowing the meat itself to have plenty of say in the flavor. The fries are also cleverly seasoned so that they don't taste like "standard" fries. They end up a little soggy in takeout, but they're still good. I can't wait to try more of them. And most important of all, the food is cheap (for Charlotte). The service is quick enough, but you can't rush good food. The process works well for takeout, though. read more

Great little Mediterranean place, probably the best near our house in Clover. Service was friendly and attentive, although we order one gyro and one gyro combo, mistakenly the guy charged for two combos...which was fine cause we ate the fries...honest mistake. Y'all already know why it's 4 stars and not 5. The food was fresh, hot and delicious! Stopped by while I was working in the area and had the chicken platter. It came with your choice of sides, I had the hand cut fries (so good!) and the salad. It also comes with pita and tzatziki. You order at the corner and they bring the food to your table. Counter service was basic. The restaurant itself was clean and had a lot of seating. The chicken was cooked well and the fries were the star! I love a handcut fry with the skin on it! So good! We placed an order and paid online. Our food was waiting when we got there and we never had to interact with anyone. We got a lamb gyro with lemon oregano fries and a falafel pita with classic hummus. The lemon oregano fries were the highlight for me. They had such great flavor. I also enjoyed the lamb gyro. I love falafel, but I wasn't a huge fan of theirs. It was ok, but I would stick to a gyro next time. The hummus was surprisingly not good. Greco Fresh Grille opened up for take out service during COVID-19 and I can honestly say I missed the unique mediterranean flavors of this South Carolina staple. I ordered the gyro platter which was overflowing with fresh vegetables, and an abundance of white Tzatziki sauce, oh yes and I couldn't resist a healthy serving of Baklava for dessert. The Baklava was a little sweet for my taste but it would be best served with a cup of tea, but one piece was enough for two people to share. The service is impeccable and the food was fresh and hot. Again, I'm fine with plain fries, but the cashier encouraged me to try the flavored fries. LISTEN TO ME LINDA! The Salmon Pita was nicely wrapped as to keep the goodness, from it's ingredients, from mixing with the fries and the lemon-ey goodness from mixing with the pita... I'm grateful for that, as I'm not a fan of soggy pita bread! The FRIES... were the perfect compliment to my lunch and they have found permanent residency in my heart. This location is not very clean. I witnessed the woman worker ( older lady) at this location behind the counter eating her food, licking her fingers and making others food. And never washed her hands after eating and sucking her fingers. After all of that she proceeded to clean the dirty plates left behind by customers without gloves( the dishes were beside a sink) and went back to making food.
