Food is good and fresh atmosphere is OK. Service is OK. I recommend the lamb chops falafel and the hummus with a salad.

AVOID THIS LOCATION! My family that resides in Clt started coming to this location because of the proximity to their house, but after this past visit on June 20th, none of us will ever be back again after the absolute awful service! And, as anyone knows, you can have amazing food, but if the people and service are terrible that can ruin any dining experience! We were sat in an almost empty restaurant just after 8pm; the waiter came to take our order and was very engaging initially. We were a party of 6, so we were going to order 4 diff apps prior to the mixed grill which is what we always get. We ordered the hummus, falafel (2 orders because only 6 come per order), baba ganoush, and beef sambousa. We were told they were "out" of the baba ganoush & sambousas cuz they would have to make them and it would take like an hr...this sounded odd cuz umm, don't you make all your food to order?? This immediately put both my stepmom (who is Moroccan) and myself off and we were actually going to leave, but we were introducing my brother's GF to this ethnic food style & him + my dad convinced us to stay, so we just added salad and lentil bean soups). We ordered drinks (the GF & I were the only ones that didn't order sodas; she ordered a pot of Karak tea for her + I to share & I ordered a sparkling water). After 10mins no drinks in sight we were like "ummm?" then at just over 15mins they brought us the apps but no drinks?!? The drinks came separately a few mins later...all except the tea. For $3 on the menu I expected a bottled sparkling water, instead I got flat water from the soda fountain. I told the waiter this and he said he'd try again and if it wasn't "sparkling" then what did I want to drink instead...I said just a filtered water w/lemon. We were missing an order of falafel (were told they only had the one order and would have to wait for the 2nd, so we just canceled it; again whyTF did they not have anything on the menu at 8pm on a Sat!?) and they only brought one basket of pita for the hummus; we asked for a 2nd basket. The lentil soup (my stepmom makes better at home) + salads were mid at best. 20mins later they bring the main course, but we still had not gotten the pot of tea we ordered nor did the guy ever come back w/my "sparkling" or plain water...we'd had enough of this horrible service & I went in search of someone (the place again was empty & I could not find our waiter or anyone anywhere). Finally I see this lady who had attitude (I have a sneaking suspicion she pretended not to understand english when convenient) when I asked WTAF was up w/my water & the tea! Again, another 10mins w/neither showing up at the table...we were also still waiting for the 2nd basket of pita, but it was moot as we'd already begun to eat the main dish...my stepmom went to the lady & spoke to her in arabic and was like "where is her water and where is her tea!?" the lady said she was sorry she didn't know we didn't get them (BS btw) that's when my stepmom asked to speak to the mgr. We also wanted to order Knfa for dessert, so my stepmom told the lady we were ordering 3 now since they were taking forever to get anything to us, and if they didn't bring them when we were done eating, we would not be paying for them. THAT part seemed to get through at least! Halfway (almost an hr at this point) through the meal they finally come w/my water and the pot of Karak tea. At this point we hadn't seen the male waiter who took our order initially; he shows up & is acting huffy (the audacity tbh!) & tries telling me he never said he'd bring a 2nd sparkling or reg water & when both me and my stepmom (cuz she was sitting next to me & heard the exchange called him out) he got all defensive & said "well I guess I misunderstood" so then we are like "why an hr for the tea?" "Wellll, that's how long it takes to make!" I called BS & told him if that was the case he should have told us that expectation when we initially ordered! He then goes "Well I had to go to storage to find it cuz we were out!" K, howTF is that OUR problem!? Just tell us that so we know what to expect!? No apology was made and we were not credited for the tea nor the $3 sparkling water which I never received. Also, received the Knfa (shockingly, right after the meal) but it was served w/o the pistachios it was supposed to come with. When asked for them, we were told they were "out"...because of course they were! Absolutely HORRIBLE staff and service here; the food was good tho, but when u have an experience like that it still leaves a bad taste! read more

The plus side of my visit was the food was really delicious. The vegetables were fresh and the shrimp were seasoned really well. Portion size was enough for a meal and a snack. We decided to dine in. I think this place is better for take out. I wish our waiter was more attentive. Our drink glasses were empty for a while and with the spicy sauce, I had to get his attention more than once. I asked for white rice and he gave me yellow. We were under a tight schedule so I didn't have time to request white rice. Overall the food was really good. read more

This place is totally legit! They have awesome Mediterranean style cuisine which never disappoints! It's small and a little divey but this place is all about the food which is awesome! They have Lunch Specials (M-F until 3PM) where you can get Chicken or Kafta Kababs or Shawarma Meat with two sides for $12.99. That's one of the best lunch deals in town! It is on my regular restaurant rotation list! Friendly staff with good service too. The price is a bit high for what we got but I don't blame this restaurant- that my friends is the economy we have in Washington DC right now driving our prices out of control. On our way back from the airport my mom and I stopped for lunch at Jasmine Grill. It had terrific reviews on yelp and was only about 3 miles from our location at the time so off we went. My mom loves Mediterranean food, especially lamb. I will never turn down a chicken Shawarma plate and this one boasted being carved off the traditional vertical rotisserie which is not as common in the US. We both had a choice of two side items with our main entrée. We both chose the yellow rice and a side salad. Our side salad isn't pictured, but it was full of vegetables, particularly tomatoes and cucumbers. A delicious vinaigrette on it and had the addition of mint, which was a very pleasant flavor. When our main entrée came out, we were both surprised how generous the portion was. Prices for entrées ranged between $14-$18 but we both felt it was a great value. Neither of us finished our rice, which was delicious, but we just didn't have room after eating, our generous portion of meat. One thing I do want to point out is that we fell in love with the little cup of garlic paste they served alongside our dish. we both could not get enough of that! We asked our server what was in it and he said it was just garlic and salt and a little oil. I promptly went to my car after we had finished and looked up recipes how to make it. Jasmine Grill is not a fancy place in anyway. In fact, I feel like they could improve the interior a little bit but really the food is the star of the show here and the decor in the restaurant and the ambience are of minor importance. Our server was kind and we received our food very quickly. The service was not over the top friendly or anything like that, but we were not ignored by any means and very much enjoyed our meal. I wish I lived closer to Jasmine Grill because I know this would be a regular stop. If you have a smaller appetite, you could easily share one of the plates between two people. read more

Lunch while waiting for my car to get serviced, Jasmine Grill was busy with families and smelling delicious. I chose the Chicken Shawarma platter and mostly sorta a little tried to be keto. The labneh was excellent and firm and tasty. Chicken was a little spicy and very flavorful and moist. Hummus was absolutely excellent - the right consistency and thickness that I really enjoy. The food here is excellent ! I got the beef and lamb Shawarma ($16) with yellow rice. It was fantastic with whatever the spicy green sauce and yogurt-like sauce is that came with it. Their baba ganoush was also excellent. It had several very thin pita breads with it. For appetizers, we ordered the meat pies (one of each - 3 for $11). The bread is incredibly soft. One had cheese in the middle, one had a meat mixture in the middle, and I haven't tried the 3rd one yet. However, the 2 that I tried were very good ! The only slight disappointment was the grape leaves. They were very thin with not much filling for $9. My friend got the chicken shawarma and she said her food was really good. Our service was pleasant and our food was served very quickly. They do not charge a card fee. The atmosphere is just so-so for a strip mall setting. For $32, and I know lamb is costly, maybe buy some meatier chops. One bite and they were gone. Other than that, My order also included a side of hot pita bread and garlic paste. The food was ordered thru GrubHub. It took about an hour or so, and was cold upon delivery. Not sure if that's on the restaurant or GrubHub. However, I was too hungry to bother heating anything up and the flavors were wonderful. So, if I heated it up, I can only imagine how much more the flavors would be. Their food is delicious and very flavorful so I don't know if people have been complaining about their food recently but my chicken Kabob was severely over cooked to the point I thought I was eating beef jerky. It was very hard and dry. The restaurant should really invest in meat thermometers if they can't cook the chicken breast properly. Everyone knows that chicken breast can be very dry if you over cook it. I would like to continue to patronize the restaurant but I just can't if they are going to severely over cook the chicken. The food here is really good! That I will give 5 stars. I had the babagnaoush to start which was excellent- I love the smokey flavor. I had the beef and lamb plate with rice. This was also very good. It comes with a great garlic dipping sauce! Things that weren't so great- witting next to an un-bussed table my entire meal. The 2 waitress sat at a table at the end of the restaurant, on their phones, the entire time.. so they weren't too busy to clean it off. Been a few years since I've come here, and it's pretty much the same. The food is delicious, so that always brings me back. But just as other reviewers have mentioned, service is subpar. Our waitress was really sweet, but it just took extra effort on our part to get our meal going. To start, we ordered salad and hummus along with a large family style meal. The salad and hummus was brought, but no plates. So we asked for plates. 10 minutes later we received small side plates , but no pita bread for the hummus. So we asked for pita bread. 15 minutes later we received that. When the food was brought out we didn't get dinner plates, and we all still had our dirty side plates. It took 20 minutes to get those, and most of our party had just used a corner of their side plates since we were all hungry. Our food was delicious (definitely use the chili paste and garlic sauce they provide, it's so good!), but we didn't get enough of the sauces for everyone, our rice didn't come with a toasted tomato like it had in previous times, and which I love, and it took a lot of effort to enjoy our food. I looked this place up and decided to give it a try. It's not the most attractive place in terms of decor when you walk into the establishment, but I hadn't planned on dining in. I was greeted pleasantly and professionally by an older gentleman who took my order. He answered every question with detail and clarity. I placed my order, which was the Chicken Shawarma Plate. The food was done in the timeframe he stated, which made me happy. It wasn't busy when I went in there at the time. There were like three people dining there. The chicken breast was a little dry to my taste and seemed to be missing something. I have eaten Mediterranean food so many times, so I'm familiar with the preparation and seasonings, etc. Now, when it came to the yellow rice, it was delicious. Every time I order Jasmine Grill to go I forget to take pictures! And every time I go I say I'm going to try something different but I end up ordering the chicken kabob with yellow rice & extra veggies. Love it! My first time trying them out was about two years ago when I moved to Charlotte. I can't tell you how many times we've had the chicken kabob plate since then. The grilled veggies are sautéed well with just enough crunch. The yellow rice is soo good & has a few mixed vegetables throughout (corn & peas). The chicken is usually very juicy & flavorful. I've never dined in before but they have seating available and they are now allowing guests to dine in (since the pandemic). I can't say too much about the customer service because there usually isn't much conversation when going to pick up our food. We always call ahead & it normally takes about 20-30 minutes before the food is ready. The serving size is pretty decent. For us, we usually have enough for dinner & lunch the next day. I'm not a huge fan of leftovers but their food still tastes good the next day, if not better My 3 year old is very particular with the things she eats, she has her favorites & doesn't stray away from those few things too often but she LOVES their yellow rice. The rice is toddler approved! Lol There's so many other meals I want to try. Everything always looks so good. read more

There was only one other couple in the entire place and we were seated by a dirty table that was never cleaned the entire time we were at the restaurant, however the servers sat next to it and were on their phones. We ordered our food and it was tasty and reminded me of food I had when traveling in the mediterranean, the garlic spread was great. I had the pleasure of coming here yesterday and a few things about my experience I'd love to point out. We ordered the Mixed shawarma plate, Mini mazza (baba ganoush was my fav) and the Kanafeh for dessert. The meats were tender and super flavorful, the rice was cooked perfectly and the kanafeh was life changing. No exaggeration. My new favorite dessert I've had to date.
