    Chicken Protein Bowl

Stopped in here the other day and tried a lot of different things! For a fast casual restaurant, this was great! NoDa desperately needs more healthy-ish options like this. The service was great, restaurant is clean and fresh, a nice vibe. I got the protein bowl with chicken which was huge and really good! The lemon chicken soup and falafel were delicious. Lamb gyro was good. Grape leaves were pretty good. Tzatziki slaps and the hummus is ok. The fries were disappointing, will ask for extra crispy next time. The lemon oregano flavor on them was great though! Will definitely be back!

Delicious and fresh!!! Excellent value - the plate was two servings easily and the salad was nice and filling! We loved the fresh lemon flavor on the fries and in the vinaigrette. This will be in the rotation over and over. Convenient, filling, well priced. Helpful staff was quick to serve our lunch. Clean interior!

While taking a walk in NoDa recently I was delighted to see a sign for a new Greek fast casual restaurant that would be opening just minutes from my apartment. Greco Fresh Grille is a local chain and I had heard good things so I was very excited to grab lunch here while working from home. Their menu features a number of Greek salads, appetizers, various gyros, and platters you can build by choosing either rice pilaf, fries, or side salad and then selecting your protein. I ordered ahead online and selected the kefte over rice pilaf which also came with a side of tzatziki sauce. The kefte patties were a little dry but I was a bit late picking up my food so it had been sitting out for a little while. That's probably on me. Anyways the flavor tasted great especially the lemony flavor of the rice pilaf, and the tzatziki sauce was delicious. I certainly look forward to sampling some more of their menu and the reviews from others seem to indicate that there are a lot of fantastic options to try.

The kabobs are perfectly seasoned and cooked, the rice is amazing, and the portions are generous enough that you definitely won't leave hungry. The lentil soup and garlic sauce are must-tries. They have a huge menu with plenty of options, and everything we tried tasted great. It's primarily a restaurant, but you can also buy packed food items which is a nice bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed the food here. They served generous portions of babaganoush and hummus -- both were delicious. They also gave us complimentary lentil soup, and it was surprisingly good. For entrees, we ordered the lamb shank, which was juicy, tender, and absolutely amazing. The adana kabab was top notch with incredible flavor. The chicken shawarma and chicken kabab could have been a bit more tender, but still enjoyable overall. They also have a large selection of desserts on the menu, so definitely save some room if you can. Overall, we had a great experience at La Shish Kabob -- warm hospitality, big portions, and flavorful food. Would definitely go back!

Plating of everything is very nice and aesthetically pleasing! First thing we got almost 3 minutes after we ordered was the caramelized Brussels, we rated it a 9! We got the trio dip plate, loved it, a solid 8.9!!! Best pita bread I've had, extremely soft and great flavor! I got the grilled avocado chicken sandwich with kasseri cheese, so so good! One of the best sandwiches I've had, rating it a 9.3! My friend got a heart of palm salmon Caesar and she rated it a 7.4! Service was quick and attentive, our server, Jordan, was nice and genuine! A bartender came and filled our drinks, his name was Fernando, super sweet! Would definitely recommend and would for back in a heart beat! So much more to try!! Thank yall! Edit: total rating has gone up! A solid total rating of 9.2 due to a sticker on the receipt!! This increased it by .2!

The chicken skewers were especially great during earlier visits -- very moist, flavorful, and something we specifically came back to order again. Unfortunately, our last visit was really disappointing. The chicken was extremely overcooked and very dry compared to prior visits. The brussel sprouts were also undercooked and mostly raw. It's also worth noting they do not take reservations for parties under six, which can make planning ahead difficult during busy times. It was frustrating because we know the food can be much better based on our previous experiences. If the kitchen were more consistent, the rating would be very different.

The interior is beautiful, but the real star is the food (and our waitress, who we were fortunate enough to get both times--she's fantastic!). Plumb forgot her name twice now The portions are so generous that the hubby and I have started a "share everything" policy just so we can sample more of the menu. The Lamb Chops are sizeable, perfectly seasoned, and actually taste like they would in Greece. The Hummus. It's rustic, flavorful, and took me straight back to the streets of Greece. Pair that with their juicy Greek Meatballs, and you're in possible food coma! They also boast an all-Greek wine list, which is a nice authentic touch. While they have a great patio, it's been a bit too chilly for us lately, but the indoor vibe is just as lovely. Authentic flavor, great service, and a wine list that actually knows its grapes--definitely a 5-star gem in the Queen City!

It can be hard to find if you are coming in from the main street as it is located inside a building that has other restaurants and stores inside. But it is rather spacious inside with lovely minimalistic and neutral vibes. The service was pretty great as we were given recommendations and our water was continuously refilled. My friends and I got the Crab Brik, Wagyu Burger, Shakshuka, and Avocado Toast. The Crab Brik came in little triangular wontons that were fried to perfection. I think real crab meat was used which is always nice. There was some aioli on the plate, but certainly not enough to dip with meal in. The Avocado Toast was recommended by our server and it was a top tier choice! It had chili dukka on it so everything from the eggs, sourdough bread, and avocados tasted very seasoned, despite the dish sounding a bit plain. They do not skimp out on the avocado here. My friend said the Wagyu Burger tasted good and I tried the Shakshuka (for the first time in my life) which tasted very tomato-y but still yummy with the bread! I think this is a cute place, especially for brunch. I would rate this place 4.5/5 stars if I could. I want to come back and try their dinner menu which has more food options.

We started with the Prosciutto carpaccio and the Whipped Ricotta appetizers to share. Both of those were pretty good and the bread that came along with it was good too. It was grilled and nice and crispy. For drinks, one of my friends ordered the rosé wine flight, I ordered their house red wine, and my other friend ordered wine as well. The wine selection was good so we are pleased with that. It was our main entrées that we ordered that we were not pleased with. For example, I ordered the steak skewer, which I understood would be a small plate, but when it came out to find that it was just one skewer was a little bit misleading, and I wish that I had ordered something else because that was not enough for my dinner. Our server didn't come back to check on us after our food arrived so I wasn't even able to add any more small plates. In addition, my friend did not enjoy her pasta at all, and I tried to bite, and it was not good. Only my friend who ordered the Bolognese pasta was pleased with her dinner choice. Due to our server not coming back to our table to check on us and also didn't really give us suggestions of what to order or how to order I wasn't very pleased with our experience. I don't know if I would come back because honestly, the meal was pretty mid for how expensive it was priced. The inside of the restaurant is cute and the patio as well but the food is mid and expensive for the service to be so poor.
